I do not recommend this place! Service is terrible, waitress was nice, but, and we had to wait almost 2 hours to get our main dish. Place is not kid friendly, we were sat in the back of restaurant, other guest were served before us. It was my daughters birthday, my wife had to take her food to go because we waited so long! We decided to take a day trip to Laughlin and my main reason was to have dinner here for nostalgia purposes because it reminds me of my hometown in Texas. I enjoy the complimentary Shiner Bock bread with honey butter and even ask for seconds to take home lol. No shame here!! They're popular for their steak but hubby really wanted the chicken fried steak and I ordered the mixed plate of shrimp and ribs. Our service was very attentive, maybe too attentive haha. Overall, I should've went with a ribeye or the chicken fried steak. The ribs seemed okay to me. Oh well, another excuse to visit Laughlin next time. read more

My wife and i have been going to this business for years. This trip we were there on 10/1/20 we got seated about 4:20 PM. The waiter came and took our drink order then went to two other tables. Our order was a water and a draft beer. He brought the water and no beer, i waited as he took the drinks (beers included) to the other two tables. He walked past me again then a second time where i asked where my beer was, his stupid reply was they haven't poured it yet. The meal was another story,, salmon for the wife and filet for me, we got our salads and i asked for a couple of saltines he said ok and left. That was the last we saw of him until the meals arrived. Her salmon was good she said, my filet cut and pulled apart like glued meat. Tried getting his attention to no avail. Overall this really ruined a good night. We were not going to go there after driving from Phoenix to the Black Hills but decided a nice meal and a little fun for the last night would be great, well so much for that. read more

Asked to wait at bar. Bartenders not friendly. The food did come out in a reasonable amount of time after ordering but service was very impersonal. I ordered the center cut top sirloin 10 oz and I might as well ordered a slab of leather. How dare they charge those prices. I thought this was a steakhouse. I had some of my sisters tacos with the pot roast. They were put together well but ruined what could have been a good taco with some funky French dressing poured over the top. The manager Tony is an asshole. He called me a liar pretty much when I ordered salmon Oscar and it was so spicy and he said the menu says it has cracked red pepper on it which it does not. Ordered online for pick up. Steaks were not cooked as ordered, as usual. They also forgot my $10.00 add on shrimp. Bread does not taste good. They lazily leave potato skins in their mashed potatoes. I will never go back here. Not satisfied on any previous visit. They are the highest priced stake place in their class and have the worst food and service. Each time I go to Saltgrass, they surprise me a good way. The center cut filet is cooked perfectly (I order rare) and I usually order that. I tried chicken Laredo last week and it was amazing. It was very moist and the cheese and Poblano peppers made it scrumptious. I can't speak about side dishes other than green beans, they are flash fried (no batter) and are sprinkled with sort of a steakhouse seasoning, I order them every time. Service is great. We have eaten at Saltgrass many many times, always has great service and delicious meals and we have had the Landry card for years as well. We have eaten here during the pandemic with no issues, until this past Sunday evening. The hostesses were rude and seemed confused, like they were unsure of the seating process. We always ask to sit at the bar when we can see seating is available and there were two seats available, with adequate distancing from the other couple. They insisted there was no room and I asked that they look because there clearly was, they refused saying it was full. Then proceeded to change their argument to we didn't have a reservation, and yet a couple two before us in line let them know they didn't have a reservation, but got seated! We drove right over to Outback where we were greeted by a friendly hostess who immediately sat us in their bar area. Shameful Saltgrass and so disappointing. read more
