Was very disappointed in our meal. We went out to celebrate my husbands birthday. My husbands steak was undercooked, my steak was dry and overcooked. The food took forever to come out and was just a little warm, like it had been sitting on the line for awhile. Our kids meals were cold. Our server was very pleasant and I appreciated how much consideration she took for our kids. But she seemed to be rushing us out. We hadn't finished our meals and we were actively eating when she offered us boxes and brought our check. For $150 we would have had a FAR better meal and service at some very casual diner or fast food spot. read more

I've been here twice in less than a week the drinks are amazing and you can't go wrong with happy hour. I ordered the chicken and ribs with a loaded baked potato my meal was perfectly cooked and loved the bread. This time I ordered the chopped steak medium rare perfectly cooked with mushrooms and grilled onions it had a cognac sauce to die for. Sunday the 11th I took my wife there for lunch. It was not busy. We were seated and shortly after we got our waters. After 2 more tables were seated in our area. The only tables with people in our area. The waitress proceeded to get the other tables their drinks, bread, and orders. She keep from looking at us the whole time. When our waters were empty (15-30 minutes) we realized she was ghosting us and got up and left. Party of five for lunch in a uncrowded restaurant. The country fried steak, country fried chicken and beef tips from the lunch menu were all disappointing. One in our party ordered a ribeye steak and was happy with it. The salads do get a high mark. There are much better choices for lunch in the area. They have a full, progressive menu, and very good alcohol selection. We both ordered alcohol, one glass of wine (a Riesling) and one Long Island. The LI was strong but still sweet. And the wine was wonderful (a glass is only $9!) We ordered, and it was a busy night being so close to Christmas, but our food came out in about 15-20 minutes. SO. They did get my man's order wrong. He ordered the Nashville spicy crispy chicken sandwich (or something like that) and got a grilled chicken sandwich... his worst nightmare! Haha. But the waitress came over and took it back, then made his order right. And she then did what most restaurants fail to do. She compted his WHOLE meal, and his Long Island! Which saved face for the restaurant, in our opinion (especially given that it's brand new, and of high-er status). After she did that for us, our meal ended up being about $30-35. After tip! First time there, I did a takeout order after ordering on the phone and told me to call, they would bring out when they arrived. I Called as instructed told to go inside takeout door. Paid for food and tipped bill was $ 98 and change for 2 dinners. Got home and green beans missing.Called them and waited for the manager on hold for 10 minutes. Tabitha, the manager stated sorry when u come in next time. I said, "Stop right there I want refunded my $3.99. Oh, we can't do that, but if you come back in, sorry, I am not spending that much afain to get ripped off after u screwed up. she said sir you will have to call corporate to get refunded $3.99." I said that's no way to fix your mistake, I feel you stole from me." After I said that she hung up I was on speaker, I called back said I don't appreciate being hung up on she said I don't like your tone I replied I don't like you ripping me off. she said, "Sorry again. I said that does not excuse your behavior. She finally gave me corporate numbers to jump through hoops for $3.99. The steaks and food are overpriced and not worth it. I have received better food from a competitor and also named texas their sides at Texas way better. Do not waste your money on substandard food and a manager that should not be the face or managing a new business.l wad hung up on twice when confronted on their mistakes. Short Version - Amazing cocktails, warm bread and a decent steak. But it is a little higher on the price than I would prefer. Hopefully they get their call ahead and reservations worked out because as it stands right now you aren't allowed to do either. When we arrived (6:45 on a Friday) we were told the wait was 1 hour. They do offer a text waitlist so you could go shop around at the Liberty Commons or go wait outside. We only ended up waiting for 45 minutes so that wasn't bad. My waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu and even told us some things they offer now that aren't on the menu. She recommended their signature Grilled Pineapple Margarita and it was one of the best margaritas I have ever had. The bread was warm, but just your basic loaf. I ordered the Urban Cowboy, a NY strip topped with lemon butter sauce and jumbo shrimp. The sauce and shrimp were fabulous and my steak was cooked perfectly. The others with me ordered a sirloin and friend shrimp and said that it was okay but not amazing. I was disappointed that my broccoli was cold, but I would imagine it was the first thing they put on my plate. I've eaten at Saltgrass in Texas and it was good. A little pricier than Texas Roadhouse across the street but thought we'd try it for some new flavors and give the new place a try. We decided to try this new restaurant on date night. Atmosphere was good. Lady at front checked you I'm on tablet, we were told 30 min turned out to be 15 which was good. I wanted a booth of which ig I should have specified. We were seated @ the back of the restaurant at a table. We ordered the cheeseburger and spicy chicken sandwich. I also added the chicken tortilla soup which was the best part of my meal, so hearty. The chicken sandwich was more of a chicken strip sandwich than patty and it was not spicy or seasoned well. I would give 0 stars if possible. Steak and fries were under the heat lamp for way too long, and it came dry and cold, like old food. Ordered medium steak and I got it rare. I Had to send my food back, and instead of new food I got re-heated food with refried fries, all soggy in grease. The steak came back covered in black pepper. So both steak and fries was inedible, I ordered a 6 dollar side dish of Mushrooms that were supposed to be sautéed and it was unrecognizable since it was soggy and all brown. When we showed up it was clearly busy though we didn't think anything of it until they told us they were still seating people from 7oclock reservations. My wife had the 9oz sirloin covered in onions with a baked potato and a side salad. I got the 16oz ribye with green beans and loaded potato soup. We shared fried onions and carrot cake and both had 2 drinks. The steaks were amazing and better than other big chains in the area. My green beans were good but not on par with Texas road house. Her salad wasn't special and her potato was a potato. The onions were great since they were very thin and crunchy. My wife's favorite part was the burnt pineapple cocktail. Either way for $130 i would expect maybe some bread or rolls and 2 sides with a steak supper. All in all we'll come back but than likely pass on drinks as $50ish was on 2 cocktails and 2 seasonal 12oz beers. read more

I am pleased with my first visit. I had the smothered filet with green beans and my son had shrimp and potatoes. We are very particular with our food and we were impressed!! Yay! I finally made it to Liberty and they finally made it to the Kansas City area!!! I don't know what to do with myself! My first visit here was years ago in Pearland, Texas. I've been hooked every since. The steaks are great, especially the ribeye. Sides are good, too. I enjoy the atmosphere and it's just a great place to dine. I don't have to travel to Branson now to enjoy Saltgrass, but I do hit them up whenever I venture out of town and there's one in the area. Thanks for making your way to Kansas City. I honestly wasn't expecting much for it apparently being a chain. But their food was so good! Simple, but timeless. The mashed potatoes I had were almost exactly like Midwest home style cooking. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender and the salads were also simple, basically just lettuce and a dressing with cheese. If you're looking for frills and fancy bells and whistles, I don't know why you would come here. It was perfectly imperfect and I will be returning. Also, the server.. or servers? Were very nice! We had one gentleman bus our empty plates, one gentleman serve us our wine, and one gentleman bring us our food, none of which were our female server. Anyway, they all had to wear masks and social distance their seatings (duh, and I'm glad they did) and they all had a wonderful sense of humor about it! The atmosphere is entertainingly rustic (kudos to the franchise designer or whoever made the decorative choices) and was a nice conversation starter. Well, we probably made the mistake of going during the first week. We arrived at 430, and still waited almost an hour for a table. Once we were seated, the music was so loud we had a difficult time hearing our server. After ordering, we waited 45 minutes. I finally asked the waiter if we could please have our salads "before" our meal. He promptly brought them out...followed 2 minutes later by our steaks. :( One of the steaks was waaayyy undercooked...a miscommunication probably from the loud music. The food was pretty good...but once we got it, it was like the timer ran out on our table and they kept wanting to "clear our plates" or "box up our food". After the SIXTH TIME while my husband was actively eating his dinner, I was annoyed and made it clear we were still eating!! We are there last night and had a very poor experience from almost the start from the service, to food, and the way it was served. First, we were not greeted by a server for almost 20 minutes. For an appetizer we chose the range rattlers. These are pretty much a jalapeño popper wrapped around a shrimp and fried together. They tasted fine, but the shrimp taste was lost, in my opinion. Each one was very large, a 4 piece was more than enough for 2 people to share. Overall, there was nothing wrong with this just not to my taste. Next we had soup and salad, the salad was served in a warm dish and the chicken tortilla soup was tasteless. When the steaks arrived, I can say that they were cooked exactly to the temperature that we asked for, both were juicy and tender, but again they lacked that flavor one would expect from a nice steak. Our baked potatoes were also cool and not quite cooked. I also ordered the center cut steak and shrimp with fried shrimp, the shrimp was doughy as if it was not completely cooked. To top it all off before we were even done eating the server brought the check. We went due to a recommendation that this was the best steakhouse in Liberty, not sure that we will be back. read more

We last minute went here while in Liberty last night. We were going to go to Texas Roadhouse and the waitlist was an hour and a half and then Yelp pulled up this spot! There were a lot of people waiting to get in outside, but we got in immediately because we were fine with sitting at a high top bar table. We were quickly greeted by a very friendly server and ordered drinks. My husband got a draft beer and I opted for the house margarita. Drinks came promptly and we ordered some fried mushroom and our entrees. We were also brought a small loaf of warm bread with honey butter. The mushrooms came and there were so many! Our server THEN brought us out another round of drinks on the house because the bartender accidentally made our ticket twice. CHEERS! Our salads and entrees came out perfect. The steaks were cooked exactly how we'd ordered and were extremely flavorful. They even had large scoops of butter on top like Ruth's Chris serves theirs! We went here for my husbands birthday with a large group. We decided to try something new because we were tired of the usual places and usually ended up disappointed over the quality of food and lack of customer service. This place did NOT disappoint! Our waitress was very friendly and patient with our large group. She was very knowledgeable of the menu and made good honest suggestions. The portions were great as well as the food overall. A few of us did have to send our steaks back for being not being cooked properly but when they came back they were well worth the wait. The Gouda Mac and cheese is to die for! The Range Rattlers were good if you like a good jalapeño popper but this takes it to a whole other level! The house sale was so crisp and fresh.
