Great service, excellent food! Although I lost my medical left hand brace there and they did not have it in their list & found. I think they need to revisit this with their staff as to what to do with items left behind by customers. Other than that it is beautifully set with the outside lighting over the walkways from their parking so inviting! Ruben/Reuben (sorry!) was our waiter! He was knowledgeable, personable, attentive and went above and beyond for us! Our table was kept clean and our drinks kept full! (And the bread/butter! ) We will ask for him on return trips! Our ONLY hang up with this location was that they do not open until 4:00 - even on weekends. We left to visit a store to kill some time and returned 8 min after opening to find a 30-45 min wait for 2. (55-90 min wait for normal sized parties). That was mind blowing. Less crowding and people walking out if you would at least open at lunchtime or late lunch on weekends. Lost opportunity there with such a small location. The only reason we removed a star! We went for lunch for my sister-in-law's birthday on Saturday around 3 o'clock. There were five of us dining. The food took a while to come out, which is understandable but only half of us got our food. We then had to wait for two more chicken fried steaks to come out. My husband's chicken fried steak was more batter than steak so he did not eat it. We got the bill paid and left. When I got home, I noticed that they had charged us for nine drinks, and only four of us got a soft drink as my sons was included with his meal. They also charged us for flavored tea, which we did not get so all in all I was probably overcharged by $20. read more

Stay away from Salt Grass especially the one in New Caney, TX. I'll never visit any Landry's Restaurants or facilities again. My family and I visited the New Caney Salt Grass in December 2023. It was very cold and rainy and we were seated in the patio area that was enclosed with plastic. There was no heat so we requested the heaters be turned on. After we placed our order one of the gas heaters above our head exploded which set off the sprinkler system. We were all soaked from the sprinklers and managed to squeeze through the plastic enclosure as we were trapped from going out the door from which we entered the area. We managed to get outside and went back in the main entrance. Our clothes were soaked, my wife's purse, shoes and makeup that was in her purse was destroyed. We were reseated and eventually received our food. The manager came by and apologized and said they would invite us back; took our name and number and never even offered to comp the meal. A few days later the manager called me and I advised him of the damages. He said Salt Grass "Will make this right". He told me he would turn it in to corporate. About a week later someone from corporate called and took my statement and again told me they would make it right. After about two weeks, spending over $100 on our meal, getting soaked and having to eat wet and cold, ruined purse, shoes and makeup I received a $25 gift card from Laundry's. I called the Salt Grass again in New Caney and spoke to the Manger named Bruno. I told him about the gift card and no compensation for the damaged items. He once again said he would contact corporate and that they would make it right. I also told him we had not been invited back as promised! He said that would happen! After a week I received another call from corporate and was told in order to be reimbursed for the damaged items they would need receipts. I was assuming she meant the receipts from the replaced items but no, it was the original receipts from when my wife purchased the purse, shoes and makeup which she knew I would be unable to provide. I told her I had been told twice I would be invited back for a meal and that had never happened. She said I'll contact the manager again to make that happen. It's now been 3 weeks and still no call back from the manager. It's clear Landry's is only interested in your money, not providing excellent service to their clients. I will never return and highly recommend you stay away not only from this restaurant but all Landry's restaurants! I have never been treated so poorly by any restaurant in my life! STAY AWAY FROM LANDRY'S RESTAURANTS!!! read more

This place has the worst customer service and food I think I ever had. My husband ordered steak, potato a salad, I ordered soup and salad simple. we had to send potato back. three times twice by manager third time I told the waiter to just put it in the microwave, my salad was soggy and slimy it had been sitting somewhere by heat from the way it tasted, it was supposed to be chicken tortilla but it came out chicken vegetable or something it tasted like they started out chicken noodle didn't have the noodles just throw in vegetables and name it something. No apologies or nothing, when you see people not eating something is wrong. I didn't want to send anything else back afraid of someone spitting on it or worse. When the manager took the potato back all she could say was oops , every time someone came by they would stick there hands between my husband eating to grab a empty dish never asked if he was finished or not just take it that's so rude. Then had the nerve to ask if you need a carry out and the salad sitting there look like someone had been sitting on it , to the lady manager she definitely needs training and so does the salad maker and kitchen staff this is the worst experience I think I've ever had. So cold in the adjacent dining room. Has to be 62 degrees. They cannot try off ceiling fans because side the electrician tied the ceiling fans to the lights and if they turn up the heat it fogs up the mirrors in the restrooms this all per the mgr and wait staff. The gentlemen behind the bar was excellent. The food was not however. Our entire meal was wrong. Undercooked steak , just overall poor 9oz fillet. Both bowls of soup were ice cold. The salad that was ordered for the combo came out wrong and was never returned to us. We sat at the bar waiting for over 10 mins on the manager he never returned. We asked the bartender again and he was very apologetic but we decided to get up and just leave. Due to managers not able handle the situation and very unapologetic. Hope the rest of the customers receive better service than us. And that someone in corporate management has a talk with there manger and his attitude towards the situation when our food came out wrong because I do understand that it happens!! read more

Highly discourage this location for pickup. We had a $156 order and $26 tip. My husband did not check order - it frustrates the employees and shows distrust. He pulled away and they forgot a soup so he had to go back. He gets home and instead of mushrooms we get pickles. I called the store - standard apology and offered to refund the mushroom charge. Hmmmm. Standard expectation. I called back asking to refund the tip - he actually thought we should pay the tip! We will see what they do. The excuse was we are trying to get use to pick up. You are an established business and should have it right at this point. Due to Mother's Day all other locations shut down Uber and door dash and for health reasons and wait times we choose pick up. Going back to Texas Roadhouse in the future. Businesses need to start valuing those that choose pickup / delivery. We pay more than those that can go to a location. read more
