We had an absolutely incredible experience at Saltgrass. Let's start with our server, Steven, guy is a 10/10. Our drinks were never empty, he gave great recommendations, check on us and made sure we were always taken care of, and was so conversational and kind. The food was hot and fresh, smelled incredible, and the taste was even better! We ordered the kids pizza, a sirloin steak, and chicken fried steak. We truly enjoyed all of it. Steven recommended the baked potato soup in place of the salad and it truly hit the spot. The ambiance was warm and welcoming. I really enjoyed our meal here. It is open and cozy with plenty of seating including a bar and a party room. We had lunch today and they not only offer an affordable lunch/early dining menu from 11-6 on weekdays but they also had a seperate gluten free menu for my huaband. The service was friendly and helpful throughout our meal constantly clearing plates and offering refills. We ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and the steak tips in cognac sauce with mushrooms, mashed potatoes, and Brussels sprouts. It was all delicious. The steaks tips in the sauce was some of the best I have ever had! Everything was fresh, hot, and flavorful. Certainly some of the most uninspiring food I've eaten in a restaurant in a while, but at least the service at this location is great. We had two very large tables worth of people at I felt like we were very well taken care of. I didn't get to drink but their drink menu looks interesting and I would have probably had a few given the chance. I wish I could leave a more food oriented review but I didn't even get to make it that far! Tried placing an order online but it wouldn't advance to where I can enter card information... 8 times before I decide to call the store to place an order. I get placed on hold after being asked if I tried to place an online order which I explained the issues. Was then on hold for 25 minutes with no answer i proceeded to call back 3 times in a 20 minute window with no answer. So until they hire staff that wants to work I will never know how to food taste but I do know the customer service is subpar. read more

Service was great. Seated promptly, waters and bread were brought promptly. Salads were served after 5 or 10 minutes. They were excellent - very crisp, fresh, and very flavorful croutons. Waited about 30 minutes for our food, which I thought was a little borderline too long. It was at that point we were saying "OK, if this takes any longer we are going to have to say something." Thankfully, the food came out right after we were talking about that. Temps for steaks were off and I don't mumble. I speak loudly and directly so that I can be heard over everyone else in the restaurant talking. Prime rib was ordered medium, received rare. Strip was ordered medium, received medium well. Didn't send them back because we were too hungry. And honestly, we are not THAT particular with our steaks as long as they're not well done. But.... We are at a steakhouse. Steaks are what they specialize in. We shouldn't have had both steaks come out wrong, paying 36.00 a piece. I know it's not a 60.00 or 70.00 dollar steak, but still. It's not cheap. Also, both cuts were heavily salted. The flavor was good. It wasn't inedible, but it was like "Whoa!" Again, borderline. I think anymore salt would have probably killed it. I would say our experience was good at best, but not good enough for a return visit. read more

I am extremely disappointed with our recent experience at Saltgrass in Rogers. My husband and I visited for our anniversary a while back, and the experience was already far from good -- our food was undercooked, the waitress repeatedly tried to take our plates while we were still eating, and it took an excessive amount of time for anyone to serve us. Because of that, Bristol kindly gave us a card to return and have a better experience. Today, I called ahead and explained to the host that I couldn't find the card Bristol gave me. He encouraged me to come anyway, so we drove 30 minutes out of our way, on top of already being 45 minutes away on our anniversary visit, only to arrive and be told by the new manager, Ron, that we couldn't be helped without the card. The lack of communication was extremely frustrating. We wasted time, gas, and hoped for a better experience, only to be turned away. After two disappointing visits, I'm not sure we'll be returning. We decided to eat here because the 7 year old wanted steak . I've eaten at other locations but it was my first time here and a first at any Saltgrass for the others in our party. The steak was just okay. Some ordered well done and some ordered medium well but they were all very well done. The salads were very fresh as was the broccoli and the bread was delicious, as always. We decided to try this place as we were looking for a reasonably priced steakhouse with a casual atmosphere. Well, we found it. The decor is very "outdoorsy" with all the antlers, deer head and such. Very fitting for Arkansas. I felt at ease. The service was great. We were seated quickly and the server made sure we had drinks and bread right away. Our food was delivered quickly as well. My wife ordered the soup and then the salmon as her entree. She liked the soup albeit she did say it was a touch spicy. She 'ed the salmon. I had the wedge salad, strip steak, and baked potato. The wedge was really good because of the blue cheese. The steak had good flavor but was not trimmed well so I got a lot of fat chunks and gristle. I gave Salt Grass a 3 largely due to this steak.. it is a steakhouse after all and it was merely OK. We will probably go back at some point but it's not at the top of our list. read more

Came here the other night with my husband. We were greeted and seated immediately. The place wasn't too full which was nice. They even had a fire going in the main dining area which was so cozy and great bc it was FREEZING outside. Our waitress, Rebecca, was kind and quick! Adam, our waiter, remembered her from a family meal last Sunday with her significant other and their son, and so he was very friendly, asking about the baby, and how her birthday went, etc. He was very attentive and helpful to us both, suggesting drink options, anticipating our every need, boxing our leftovers, etc. The food was, as always, absolutely divine!!! We were part of a party of 10 on New Years Eve. Steady service, friendly. We had a reservation and our table was ready. Our table ordered a wide variety of steaks, topping, salads, drinks etc. The pace of service was pretty good, especially for a busy night. No complaints as we wanted to visit amongst our group. Salad and bread were great. Everyone's entrees came out and looked terrific. However, I ordered a medium rare filet and it was well done. I didn't want to say anything due to our party. The server did not come check on us and how everything came out. If he had, he would have noticed I had a grey steak as everyone around me did. My husband waved the server down and asked him to bring me another filet. The server was all over it and returned about 10 minutes later with a fresh baked potato and new filet. He asked me to cut into it to check the temperature. It was perfect. However, I was eating and everyone else was done. We were surprised to see they had comped our check for the filet. It was the right thing for them to do and we appreciated the gesture. Everyone else had great looking meals, they just missed one. We might return. read more

We had dinner at Saltgrass Steak House last night and I think the thing that impressed me the most was the service. Our server Juan was very attentive. My husband had steak and shrimp and I had the filet. My filet came out overcooked and it was taken care of immediately. I thought I would have to sit there until my husband was done with his food before I got mine but no, the manager brought over another steak right away. The meat itself was good but not especially juicy. They have a full bar with a small selection of wines. It's pretty noisy with families bringing their kids in but it's not meant to be five star dining. If you're looking for a good steak dinner with great service this would be a good place to go. read more
