We had dinner at Saltgrass Steak House last night and I think the thing that impressed me the most was the service. Our server Juan was very attentive. My husband had steak and shrimp and I had the filet. My filet came out overcooked and it was taken care of immediately. I thought I would have to sit there until my husband was done with his food before I got mine but no, the manager brought over another steak right away. The meat itself was good but not especially juicy. They have a full bar with a small selection of wines. It's pretty noisy with families bringing their kids in but it's not meant to be five star dining. If you're looking for a good steak dinner with great service this would be a good place to go. read more

Best Ribeye steak cooked to perfection we have eaten in a long time . We had family from out of town with us and decided to go have a nice meal at Saltgrass on 5/22/26 around 5:30 p.m. Our server was so great and kind and we all enjoyed our food - that was - until half our party got food poisoning and the food was coming back up. One party member ordered the grilled chicken and she got the most sick. We did not get to see her for half the trip due to the illness. Another person in our party ordered a medium rare steak and did not get AS sick as the other party member but was still ill. I dont know who back there is cross contaminating things but I will not be returning unfortunately. read more

When we brought our takeout food back to the hotel room, we discovered that the salmon that came with the Caesar salad was undercooked. Concerned about eating it, we called the restaurant. To make a long story short, the staff explained the situation and kindly offered to replace the salmon if we wished. We decided to return to the restaurant and were given a new piece, which was fully cooked. The restaurant manager was very courteous and even told us to keep the original salmon and reheat it to our liking. We were very pleased with how they handled the situation, and the food was delicious. Thank you for the great service, Saltgrass Steakhouse! Absolutely freezing in the section we were seated in. 3 parties ( including us) in the building and was seated right next to one of the parties. It is a spacious restaurant but this area was cramped. Hostess was nice, was too cold to wait for the waitress, Walked out. Not paying $$$ for a steak when it's going to be cold before I can take a couple of bites. We use to love this place was really good and consistent. Last couple of times have been off. read more

we had a reservation at 6:45 for a table of seven, which included two children. We were seated immediately. We ordered an appetizer, shortly after ordered our meal, but didn't get our food until an hour and 15 minutes later. kids were getting restless and hungry. After about an hour, we had asked the waiter what the holdup was and he said sorry we have a large party be about another 25 minutes. shortly after the manager came over quickly said sorry running late. We have a large party. 15 minutes later we got our food. Two of us ordered filet at $29 apiece... They were hard to cut. Mine almost tasted old. The other two ordered the $45 Oscar filet special. not that great. we were never offered bread before the meal. when we got our food, I asked for bread he went and got it and brought it back and set it down. Didn't say a word. Our appetizer came with hair in it. We asked for it to be replaced they did no problem. Another party of six came in after us two tables over and received their food before us. They were done with their dessert by the time we finished our food. We requested the military discount for our Vet, A well over $200 tab, with a three dollar and change discount for our military discoun, stating it was 15%. he had actually ordered the $45 special. When I question the waiter, he said he would send the manager over. He came back a few minutes later and said the manager was busy that he changed it to the correct amount. At that point after not having any apology and treating us like we werent important and a nuisance, I asked for him to send the manager over. After speaking with the manager, he was not apologetic, just kept saying that he was busy. he didn't care about our concerns, nor was he offering anything for the treatment we received for the poor food and service. I told him we eat at a lot of fine restaurants we're not looking for free food, but they should've informed us how long it was gonna take when we got there so that we could've decided if we wanted to stay. The manager just kept giving excuses for the poor service and quality of food, and treating us like we weren't as important as the big table they were taken care of. We just told him we wouldn't be back. The food wasn't that great anyway. it has really gone since we started going there four or five years ago. They're not a high-quality stwakes place anymore. First time here but I was pleasantly surprised. The food was awesome, steak cooked as I asked, the wedge salad was just right and the drinks are potent. My overall impression (just to get it out of the way): this is a cowboy Applebee's. It tastes like Applebee's. The menu looks like Applebee's. It is run just like an Applebee's. Now, for some that may be a compliment. But for me it just speaks of overpriced mediocrity. To be clear, the staff we interacted with (the hostess, our waitress, and the manager) were very friendly, helpful, kind, and inviting. Our waitress in particular did a great job and we tipped her accordingly. I would almost go back just to her has a server. She was phenomenal! That said, everything else was sad or bad. The ambiance is cowboy everything, but very cluttered. Yes, the woodwork is nice, but the decorations are too too too much and I didn't like having things hanging over my head (it's fine at Cracker Barrell....but not something I'd expect at a what is supposed to be a higher-end restaurant). As for the food: I was with family, party of 5. We all ordered different things -- burgers, salmon, salads, mac&cheese, apps, etc. -- but all of it was bland, under-seasoned, and not very appetizing when came out. My brisket burger in particular was just not good. I ordered medium-rare and it was almost well-done. The onion looked like worms. The brisket tasted weird and possibly old-then-warmed-up (not-fresh). And the fries were seemingly of the frozen type, not fresh cut and fried. Nothing about it was appetizing at all. After a few bites, I tried to get a hold of our server or a manager, but we were unsuccessful. So, I just kept eating because I was hungry. About the time I finished, a manager came over (probably doing his rounds) and asked about our food. I told him about mine and he apologized profusely (as well as the server) and then gave me a free appetizer coupon for the next time I come. That was kind. However, later, when the check came, the $16+ burger was still on. No comp. Disappointing. After asking about other's food, it was all the same. Bland. Not great. Certainly not worth the price. More free appetizer coupons were handed out, but no comp. So, all in all, not a good experience. Didn't like the decor (I know that is a preference -- others may like it). Didn't like the food. Didn't like the prices. Didn't like the reaction to poorly-made food. The server was the best part of the night. She was enjoyable and friendly and did a great job for what she was working with. To her goes all 5-stars!! :-) I hate to not recommend a place, but in this case I cannot recommend when there are so many other places to get the same food at better prices and better flavor. read more

The server was good. The restaurant is cute well decorated clean. Music was hard to hear but it wasn't so low as there was uncomfortably silence. I don't like music too loud anyway so you can converse so I'm ok with this. We ordered each a drink. I had the pomegranate mojito delicious. My girl had tropical sangria it was tasty. My friend had a margarita swizel Rita. I was told it was ok. The app was the queso dip the flavor was good but it came in a skillet room temp. I got ribs and shrimp. Ribs delicious, shrimp a little over done but flavor good. My fries were not fresh, you can tell they were refried and cheese not melted wasn't that good. My girl had filet with crab meat. Came here on a Thursday night with the wife. The place was very clean and not very busy at all. I think we were the youngest people in the building besides the busboy. The waitress (Rebecca) was very nice and got our drink orders right away. Anyone thinking about getting a Tito's Texas Tea better get in line behind me!! This thing was jacked and stacked to the brim with sweet nectar. Kudos to the bartender. I went with the classic...chicken sandwich and a side of fries. How could you go wrong? CHICKEN. BACON. Went in to celebrate my daughter's birthday the waitress Madeline sucked. I would never recommend Salt Grass steak house for a Birthday most places give you a complimentary dessert for the birthday person. This place charged me 9 plus for the dessert the waitress made this miserable and snobby didn't even acknowledge my daughter's birthday. We should of went to Texas Roadhouse. What a waste for a birthday night time and money. She also didn't listen to my girlfriend that wanted a separate ticket. Then lied to my girlfriend saying I requested 1 ticket. No I didn't. She wouldn't redo the ticket. Took her 5 mins. To bring A1 out to my girlfriend. There wasn't that many customers. We went here for a graduation celebration and we did not have the best experience. Our server was alright but not the friendliest. We all ordered steaks and majority did not come out cooked correctly. We sent two of them back and one came out "cooked again" still very rare and the other came out well done when they were supposed to be medium. Awful experience. Wife and I ordered two ribeyes without butter. Steaks came to the table covered in butter. Employee delivering the food said he would take it off. We requested two new steaks. Those came back with in 5 minutes so completely charred we couldn't eat the steaks. Manager and server apologized, but never offered to bring us something we could eat. We left 90% we could not eat. On top of that I guarantee the steaks were 12 oz, not the 16 oz we ordered. I hope regional or corporate reads this review. Unfortunate what allowed to happen at this location. Who loves steak? This place hit the spot this past week while traveling in the area. We were looking for steak at a local flair and stumbled across salt grass. This was exactly what we were looking for. I ordered the ribs with a side of sweet potato and a salad. The ribs were very tender, fall off the bone. Sweet potato was also cooked. We also had a bacon wrapped filet mignon which came out cooked to order. Waitress was attentive and didn't miss a beat. The decor was straight out of the West. If you like an Applebees feel this is the place for you. It was Noisy, crowded, with mediocre food. The menu is too large. Most items cooked from frozen. My "filet" was NOT a filet. It didn't taste bad but, still not a filet. I was expecting a bit more of an upscale atmosphere. It was not! I am amazed at how many tables were crammed into that space. I always come here for dinner when I can. The sirloin steak is some of the best money can buy. Especially when you get that perfect medium rare. They also give you complementary bread with butter. First time visit. First, the dining area is comfortable and decorated, to me, like a cowboy bunkhouse. We were seated promptly and greeted in a very friendly manner. Our server was great. Her name was Jenny and she took great care of us. Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable of the menu. She made great suggestions. Full bar for those who want it. Several signature drinks on the menu. I got the 12 oz. Ribeye and it came perfectly cooked. I like mine rare and it came rare. They have raw horseradish which I like with my steak. I ordered the Brussel sprouts. They came out roasted with a glaze that I enjoyed. My wife's chicken fried steak was huge and she liked it very much. We shared a cheese cake for dessert and it was so very good. They prepare the food fresh daily and it tastes like it! They offer a membership for 25 dollars that pays out 25 for every 250 spent and this includes a lot of restaurants and hotels. Well this is our first visit and we were celebrating our Anniversary. First off We ordered the Queso Fresco. The menu clearly says that the appetizer contains brisket. In the picture as you can see there is no brisket. When I asked the server. The response I received was you wanted the one with the brisket? NO I want the only queso on the menu! I ordered the Queso Fresco that says blanco cheese, brisket, cilantro, green onions and Pico de Gallo! As I showed him the menu he seemed surprised! They brought a small metal cup of brisket. The Queso was amazing! I ordered a Grand Sangria! The first was fabulous. There must be a difference in how each bartender makes the drink. The second tasted like straight Melbec wine. Could not taste any of the other flavors. My husband ordered a burger well done and when it arrived it was barely medium still red in the center. Usually after delivering steak someone checks back to see if everything was cooked properly. Not this time. My husband sat with a half cooked burger for more than 15 minutes. I ordered the Pat's Ribeye. I ordered it medium. Don't usually care how red the steak is but I want the steak to be warm. The steak was cooked more like med-rare and was cool but not warm. The bread was delicious. And over all the meal was okay but not terrific for the price. Many steakhouses in town where for the price the food is probably better. read more

Our experience at Saltgrass met expectations. Granted both myself and hubs got fish entrees as we aren't huge on red meat but both dishes were salad. Our waitress was very nice and helpful as well! Hubs got the redfish and really enjoyed it! They did forget the shrimp- at first- but let us know when they brought it to the table and then brought out a double portion to compensate. I've gone back a second time. Fortunately we were able to sit the bar while waiting for a table. I ordered another Frozen crown and Coke. This one tasted like the icee I can get at the gas station. Where's the crown? I mentioned it to the bartender who basically wanted to debate it since she made it herself that day. My 2nd drink was crown and Coke on the rocks. Now that's what it should taste like. The husband had a couple large draft beers. $7 a mug. Geez. We ordered the cheese fries this time as an appetizer which wasn't fries at all. This was chunks of potato squares covered in cheese and bacon. Most of them were burnt on the bottom. Hard pass ever again. We shared a steak which was ok. It took forever to get our check so we could leave. The only high start thing I can comment on is that they buzz around constantly taking away dirty dishes. No one wants to sit there full and look at a messy plate with remnants of dinner. Bottom line, another mediocre chain. read more

This is my 4th time here! I would give it 6 stars if that was possible. Service is great, we got Leona and she was super professional. This is by far the most flavorful restaurant in NWA. Steaks are juicy and tender. I usually get the smallest steak possible because I get full quickly and I like eating out too often. I have been in all other steak houses around town, and Saltgrass is beyond compare. The salads were fresh and crunchy. The shrimp was delicious and cooked perfectly. The atmosphere is clean. When going to restaurants I often think of the cleanliness of a kitchen being relative to the cleanliness of the restauran's restrooms.
