We stopped here for lunch and I got the rose pasta with sweet sausage it was amazing. The portion was generous for lunch. My husband got the chicken parm which was also extremely good as well. Their garlic bread was delicious and cheesy. Our server was super sweet. We aren't from around here and they helped us get a discount on the parking garage. We booked this restaurant for a rehearsal dinner on a Saturday night in February for 40 people. It turned out absolutely perfect. They had a fairly private area that accommodated us and it was set up beautifully. The food was excellent and plentiful and we had numerous options. But I was mostly blown away by the level of service- everyone was friendly helpful efficient and accommodating. Jimmy checked on us many times and Donovan took great care of us as well. YUM Came here as a party of 5 on a Saturday night, we made reservations the same day with no issues (we also rescheduled because we were late, for 30 minutes later and it was fine) For starters we got the fried calamari that was delicious. The white sauce that came with it was meh, but the marinara was good! Also wish it came with a lemon I tried the special cocktail which was a lavender and sage martini. I liked it though it was a little bit too sweet Then we got 2 orders of the gnocchi with chicken, which was delicious We got the shrimp tomato linguini, which was delicious, the pomodoro pasta with meatballs and the ridiculous delicious rose tortellini. Get the rose tortellini!! It comes with sweet Italian sausage and a creme tomato sauce. My husband and I live a good 40 minutes away, but my husband did his research and decided on this restaurant to celebrate our fifth wedding anniversary and the experience did not disappoint! The location is great and the restaurant is very clean with great ambiance. Our food was excellent! Everything was prepared timely and came out hot and so flavorful! But it's the service that is hands down 5 stars for me! I don't even think they knew we were celebrating anything, but as we were leaving we were stopped at the door and treated to desserts and more as we told them we never get out to celebrate (kids and caregiving for a parent). This place was great from start to finish. I ate at the bar and had a fantastic meal. I ordered the crisp flatbread and it was incredible. The crust was perfection and the balsamic reduction perfectly offset the saltiness of the garlic and chicken. It was plenty of food for one, and easy to share as a group. I came here to eat an early dinner the night before running the Hartford Marathon. About half of the restaurant was blocked off for reservations, so I found a seat in the bar section while I waited for my friend to arrive. It was just me and my friend, so we were fine dining in the bar. I started things off with an iced tea. Then I ordered their garlic cheese bread and diver scallops. *Garlic cheese bread* This was good bread. It was just the right amount of garlic and cheese. I can see why almost every review recommended this item. *Diver Scallops* A word of caution when ordering the diver scallops... either it wasn't diver scallops or they didn't bother cleaning it as it was pretty sandy. It was also served on fried rice that was very similar to the Kirkland frozen microwave fried rice that you can get at Costco. I would skip it and order something else. Definitely not worth it. If it weren't for the garlic cheese bread, I thought that this place was pretty much a bust. I had high hopes based on the seeing the majority of the food pictures from other reviewers. Fortunately, the service was great. Great service usually saves the day. If I come back, I'll definitely be sure to skip the diver scallops. read more

Service was great. My family enjoyed their entrees - the fish dish was terrific but the chicken parmigiana was fried a little too dry and hard. My vodka pasta was a little too much Al dente and could have used a little more boil time- perhaps it's because we just had freshly made pasta a week before and nothing beats that. This is probably one of the best Italian restaurants I've been to. The food was delicious. I ordered the Rose Pasta after seeing recommendations on here and it did not disappoint. We each tried eachothers dishes and they were all so good, but I think we collectively agreed this one was the best. They also had great bread and a really unique sauce to go with it that really made the meal. I feel like many other Italian places I've been to have small portion sizes and/or are overpriced, but they had such variety in the menu and were all relatively affordable, which was really nice. Great spot for Italian in Downtown Hartford!! Came here with a larger party for dinner on New Year's Eve. We had a reservation and were seated very quickly. Since we were going out after, we decided to skip the cocktails but I was eyeing a glass of wine! For starters, we ordered the calamari. It was spot on with the marinara sauce. I wasn't crazy about the lemon aioli which is surprising for me since I love lemon. They also gave us warm, house-made bread for the table with a smoked tomato butter....INCREDIBLE. Not everyone was crazy about it, but I was obsessed. I could have eaten that smokey butter plain, if it wasn't weird. Just give me that and bread for dinner and I'm all set. Besides filling up on carbs, I ordered the Chicken Parm; classic. The marinara sauce was perfect. Also good amount of cheese that didn't overpower everything. Instead of one large piece of thin chicken, it was two generous sized chicken breasts. Perfect opportunity to eat one, and save the other for later. The linguine underneath was cooked perfectly al dente. I'll admit I happily ate the rest of this meal when I got home, still a little drunk from our New Year's festivities...even better cold. Prices were reasonable for the area and comparable to what you would pay at any Italian restaurant. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in the area. read more

Server was super friendly and gave us great suggestions. The owner was super friendly also and checked on us several times. The drink and food came out quickly and tasted great. This was a wonderful upside surprise, and I couldn't recommend this place any higher. We had garlic bread, split Caesar salad, Rose Pasta, and prime grade NY steak. The service from this hidden gem is A++. From the time that the hostess greeted us to our server Donovan. All were super friendly. The cheese garlic bread is a must! It will not disappoint. I had the 6oz filet with mushroom cream sauce, mashed potatoes and a side of asparagus. Everything was well cooked with great flavor. My cappuccino was perfect and came with an adorable sugar stick. Don't miss this spot if you're passing by Hartford. I first called to see if they could accommodate our group and with such welcoming voice, they said to "come on in!" Once we got there, they immediately welcomed us and had great service from the start. We tried the garlic cheesy bread and the tomato mozzarella for starters. The bread was perfectly warm and absolutely delicious. We loved the simple tomatoes and mozzarella, so fresh. Really fresh. Our family ordered different types of pasta and we all tried each other's pasta. Everything was so good. No joke. All the taste was on point. I can see that because of their wonderful service and food, everyone looked really happy! We had the tiramisu and cheesecake also! Both super good and not too sweet. Our family loves dessert, but the desserts that aren't too sweet. It was perfect for our taste. We parked at the public parking lot right around the corner of the restaurant and Salute was able to help pay half of the parking stay. There's this ticket that you get from the parking lot, so make sure you bring that down so that they can do that for you. We were simply stopping by on the way to New York and this restaurant became super memorable for our family, we plan to come by once a year when we do our yearly family trips on this round.
