    a tray of chicken wings

Ordered food on line. It was ready when it was supposed to be and the pizza was ok. Got wing when it was $10 for 10 wings. 9 drum sticks and 1 flat. I hate drumsticks, my boyfriend hates flats. That we could have managed ok, but there was like zero sauce on the wings. We ate a few and tossed the rest. We had taken or order far enough away that we didn't return to complain

Mckelvey was my bartender/server. She was sweet and welcoming. She mixed a terrific Negroni! Backpedaling a bit. I arrived at 6 and by the time my cocktail was in front of me there was a wait. I was disappointed with the apps.. all fried..I'm sure delish but I wasn't in the mood. I had Utica beans and kale (had the hot pepper symbol but not at all spicy ) $16 with a side meatball $6 and sausage $6. Portions were generous and the atmosphere was lively. Everything arrived quickly. Same for my bar mates. I will go back and request extra extra cherry peppers.. Oh! And get the lemon marscapone cake... worth every calorie!! Mange!

When we arrived the place was packed, but sure enough, our table was waiting. First came water. Then our server Lydia came over to ask for our drink order. Because I was driving back home, I only wanted one craft beer for the evening. My wife was having wine. We each ordered the Caesar salad, which was half of a Romaine lettuce sliced lengthwise dressed with cheese and dressing. It was tasty, but a lot of food. I ordered the fra Diavlo seafood pasta with rigatoni. My wife had one of the specials, which looked a bit like beef on weck without the sesame seeds. Mine was good, but not all spicy like I was expecting. Hers was actually quite good. Both were loaded with garlic, which seems to be a staple of this place. Because it was a Friday evening and the place was packed, the noise level was quite high. This was especially true because behind me were two large tables of noisy diners. Once they left it was back to a more normal level. Our server Lydia was terrific. Overall staffing was quite good. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Well go back!

We started with the Ricotta appetizer (again). Amazing (again). First the menu changes- no longer options to create your own pasta. Second you no longer get the fresh Italian bread with garlic butter. Now you get hard, stale focaccia bread that's barely edible. Third, we ordered a special for summer vegetable pasta. There was lots of noodles- little sauce and fewer summer vegetables. The veggies included were heavy on canned olives & mushrooms. Yuck! Our waitress was new and trying hard. She was struggling The neighboring table was annoying. They wanted greens but not greens & beans. They were friends of the owner so he was summoned to help them. Obviously they required a higher degree of service. The owner scuttled off to their beck & call and chose not to check in with those of us annoyed by their demands. I was sad to see things have declined here.

House salads were excellent. My sister had the bucatini Puttanesca it was flavorful, portion size was good, overall perfectly cooked. My spouse and I had the chicken Milanese which was incredible. The chicken melted in your mouth. The white bean puree and freshly shaved parmigiana was an add that I've never had with Milanese and it was amazing. The arugula and lemon vinaigrette just added to the whole experience. Then we had every dessert on the menu!! Homemade Tiramisu- 5+ stars. Homemade dark chocolate budino with vanilla bean whipped cream was out of this world. The lemon cake was so light and yummy!! Our server was top notch. Julia was friendly, professional and knowledgeable about the menu with excellent recommendations. As you can tell, I highly recommend Il posto bistro. You can't go wrong.

We were seated promptly at a nice table and brought water immediately. Our server Ryan came and told us about the specials and took our drink order. She returned several minutes later and took our orders for dinner. I was looking forward to the risotto because they always have a good risotto special, my husband had the limoncello chicken. Drinks came out and then the bread, nice and warm. The salads seemed to take a little longer than usual but the greens were fresh. Unfortunately that's where the good ended. We waited and waited for dinner. Tables around us that arrived after us were being served their meals. We waited patiently, making conversation trying not to feel annoyed. Ryan returned asking if we needed more to drink or more bread, no we still had bread. She apologized for the delay and said she would check with the kitchen. She returned 15 minutes later and said the kitchen was working on our orders. We were at 1 hour at this point, 10 minutes later our food finally arrived, it looked beautiful. The shrimp placed decoratively on top of the risotto, scallops lightly seared. The chicken in a creamy white sauce with linguini and fresh herbs on top. My first bite of the risotto was a disappointment, it was undercooked, more than a little al dente (risotto is not supposed to be any al dente). I tried different places around the dish to see if maybe there was some way to save this dinner, sadly not. We waited well over an hour for our dinners and it was undercooked. The scallops were good as were the shrimp so those were eaten. Our server did not return to ask how our dinners were. The chicken dish was good and my husband enjoyed it, brought half home as it was an ample portion. When Ryan returned she offered boxes, I declined since you cannot fix undercooked risotto. I explained what was wrong and she said she would let the owner know because he was helping in the kitchen. She returned with the wrapped up chicken and offered a free cannoli to compensate for the problem. We accepted, my husband ate it because I don't care for cannolis. We paid our check and left. I was surprised that if the owner was working in the kitchen and alerted to the problem that he didn't come out. I found that a bit strange, if it was my restaurant and someone said the special that was priced at $42 was not cooked properly I would come out to apologize for the problem. He did not, we paid the check and left. We have eaten there twice before and our meals were good. We do not eat out at nice restaurants often but because it was my 60th birthday we decided the occasion was worth the splurge. Sadly I don't think we will return based on the long dinner preparation time and the quality/price of the risotto. We don't mind paying extra for good food but this was disappointing.

I ordered the pasta and shrimp special, which was absolutely delicious and full of flavor. Unfortunately, my daughter is vegetarian and ordered the Gnocchi Rossi, which was quite disappointing. It lacked flavor and was very bland compared to my meal. The biggest downside of our visit was the service. We were trying to enjoy some quality mother-daughter time together, but our waitress interrupted us constantly--almost every time we took a bite. We repeatedly assured her that everything was fine, yet she continued coming back to the table. At one point, while we were still actively eating, she asked if we were ready for boxes. When I said no, she replied, "Oh, okay, you're just taking your time." It definitely felt like we were being rushed rather than encouraged to relax and enjoy our meal. To top it off, we were never offered dessert or after-meal options. Despite feeling a bit rushed and annoyed by the constant interruptions, we still left a good tip because the waitress was working hard and remained polite. Overall, the food was a mixed experience, the atmosphere was wonderful, but the service made what should have been a relaxing mother-daughter lunch feel hurried.
