I'm planning to go back tomorrow and get a couple more keys cut one for my garage door and one for my basement door. I've been going here for years for all key copying and programming. They stamp copies with their name and if the copy doesn't work they will redo the copy. Cheaper then going to a dealership for key copies and programming. They ordered my car key and it came in within a week. I just brought in my car and they were able to program it while I waited. They maintain social distancing guidelines while in the shop. All staff wear masks. read more

Best place to have keys made-- always accurate. I used to go to City Mill to have keys made. After returning sometimes up to three times because they did not cut the keys right I found Salz. I've never had to go back because a key didn't work. They are always courteous and very fast and the keys are made right in front of you. Highly recommend this small shop on Waialae Avenue. I've been a customer of Salz for probably two decades. They always respond within 24 hours AND... I've never had issues with any keys cut where I had to bring it back because it didn't work (provided they were cut from the original key, which is standard). Friendly staff. Purchased a key with fob online for cheap and was hoping they could program it. Unfortunately they don't do keys purchased online. However, since I was there, I had them just cut me one of their keys they had in stock. Significantly more expensive than a cheap online key but they cut and did full programming and was less than half what the dealer was gonna charge. I went to City Mill, Home depot, Lowes , Walmart and some other lock smith but they dont have copies of my keys that I want to duplicate. fr two days I waste my time looking for locksmith and finally I found Sals Lock on the their web site. Ordered 2 different types as the vendor swore it would fit. 1-1/2 month later Lowes, Home Depot and City Mill refused to cut my blank keys Decided to go to an old type/modern locksmith - Salz. Another local business I rely on. Tried to cheap out twice, getting keys copied at City Mill and Lowes. The copies didn't work! Had to return them. Now I only get keys copied at Salz. The copies are a bit pricier than big box stores, but worth it not having to return them For rekeying locks, Salz was a lot better than another locksmith I tried years before. Arrived as scheduled, calling ahead to say he was on the way. Even though new keys are a bit pricey, rekeying the locks was less costly than the previous locksmith. The Salz locksmith was prompt, professional and proficient. It's in a small strip mall on Wai'alae Avenue, across Wayne's Carpet & Downing Surf, just before the right turn to the H-1W entrance with a few stalls reserved for Salz customers. With the traffic on Wai'alae, it can be a little tricky exiting the lot, tough turning right, worse turning left. Plan accordingly. Will keep using this business, as needed, and recommend it to others. read more

I did not get the name of the lady that was helping me but as soon as I walk to the door she greeted me with a pleasant smile asked me how she could help me and explained the cost. She cut my car key wrong and then told me I was wrong when I brought it back in, she refused to give me a refund and then proceeded to give me incorrect information and offered to charge me $80-200 for a new key.
