My friend was in town and was craving for some classic Korean Chinese cuisine. I'm all down for the old school restaurant vibes but the food was nothing extraordinary. For a Sunday night, it was a bit slow. I've been to the Flushing location before and was told the Bayside location was better. Can't say I agree much but at least the customer service was alright. The tang su yook flavor overall was lacking for me and was over powered by the use of cornstarch in its sauces. It was like gelatin at that point. Jja jang myeon was decent. Veggie platter was saltless which is fine if you like to add your own table salt.

I came here for lunch with my wife and her family. I am not a big Korean food fan because noodles and spicy food are not my things, But my wife says this place is good and I had to give it a try. And most of the dishes we ordered were noodles. I got a little taste of some of the noodle soups and thought there were okay. I thought the shrimp dish we ordered was good, and I enjoyed the side kimchi dishes. The service was as excellent as the food came out quickly and hot. Price-wise it's reasonable to compare with other restaurants in the area.

We entered from the back parking lot entrance. Don't forget to bring your vaccination card and ID upon entry. For a Friday night there was plenty of seating. We didn't have to wait for a party of 4. For appetizers we got fried dumplings and sweet and sour pork. Not a lot of places give good portion sizes for appetizers. I was impressed we got a plate full of dumplings. Not just 3 on a small plate or something like that. And they were huge chunky dumplings too. Fried pork was juicy and saucy. For main we got the fried rice and black bean noodles. Both were average but they fill you up. You start with the hot tea set and the small pickled dishes. The red kimchi was great and it paired well with everything. Can't wait to come back.

When the restaurant is 3.5 stars you know it's good. Also it's been a really long time since I've been here. Same original owner!! We ordered kkanpung shrimp! Amazing!! It was so crispy and fresh! My mom and I split the spicy seafood soup and seafood jjajjamyung. So hit the spot and was so good.

Been coming here for a while and love the food. They have a great lunch special which is basically a combo of noodles with some other dish of meat or vegetables. The servers are very attentive and fast. The place is pretty wide and there are a good amount of seats even for larger parties. Can't wait for my next lunch visit here. Amazing food, truly.

Good place. Nice food. Chinese and Korean mix. Another location on 144-20 Northern Blvd Flushing New York, 11354 near Parson Blvd right before Great Wall Supermarket. (大中華超市) Never been here before. They speak Korean and the menu is in Chinese and Korean language. The restaurant sign is Korean, Chinese and English language. Use both entrance to get inside the restaurant if Park in the back or park on street or somewhere else.

Used to come to this place all the time but alas they are just not up to par. Their jjajangmyun sauce is tasty but the noodles are so over done! Came twice to confirm it wasn't a fluke. Their sweet and sour pork was so gristly. But their lajogee (spicy chicken) was pretty solid. The owner and staff are super friendly and having a parking lot is nice but just can't make up for the sad state of the jjajangmyun .

Best Shrimp with garlic sauce! Our go to for Chinese Korean food! Food comes out fresh and hot and service is quick and on point. Their noodle dishes are delish! The prices are very reasonable too for their portions. They also have great lunch specials!

Lunch special at one of my favorite Korean Chinese restaurants in Queens. It's such a good deal for how much food you get! I can't wait to go back soon! I got the tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork) and the jajangmyun (black bean noodles). It's one of my favorite combos!

This is one of the best places at Bayside. Food is so fresh the service is excellent. I order seafood fried rice and my friend ordered sweet and sour chicken. It was a great experience. I highly recommend this place

    Grace K.

The taste of the food changed especially jjajangmyun. The pork tangsooyuk was ok and the dumpling was good but not as delicious as it use to be . I was super disappointed with the quality of the kimchi but the staff was friendly.

We also celebrates our friends' birthday.

It went well at Sam Won Gahk in Bayside Northern BLVD. The foods are super terrific. It's always when I go there and eat the Korean style Sweet Sour and Pork and Brown Bean Noodle.

This is one of many nice and delicious lunch combos to choose from! :)
    Donald K.

I had the chance to visit here for lunch. They have a great variety of lunch combos to choose from. I chose the sweet and sour pork with egg drop soup and fried rice. It was very delicious and the price is very reasonable ($13.99). The staff was very attentive and made sure I was fully satisfied. If you're hungry in the Bayside area, then I highly recommend Sam Won Gahk.

Tonight, my husband ordered the General Tso's chicken, which he thoroughly enjoyed. As always, they sent out complimentary steamed pork soup dumplings and, to finish, two sweet fermented glutinous rice soups for dessert.
