Food was good and staff was prompt and courteous. I appreciate they had many options for eggs Benedict, but I ended up with the Florentine. It looked delicious, truly - but being the EB enthusiast that I am, I found the eggs far too over cooked and when I cut into them, the yolk remained intact. I explained this to the waiter and he took the eggs back with no problem. Unfortunately, the next batch of eggs that was brought out was too runny and undercooked. You can tell because there was a part where the egg white was a mix of white and transparent. This was the only miss and overall, I think it was a simple mistake. The one missing star is more against Yelp/Grubhub. I placed my order online through the Yelp-Grubhub partnership on the Yelp app. I do really like using the Yelp app to order but this is now the second bad mark against it. It ended up being close to an hour to put together some eggs and homefries and I don't know if this is because of the online order for pickup or if this is just a Florida thing and I am a snobby New Yorker who needs my food now. When I showed up there was a small snafu with finding my order (which had actually been prepared) but the staff were very quick to put it in again to make it quickly which I appreciated. The food itself was a very very affordable and pretty tasty eggs benedict. I would recommend the spot for a good diner style breakfast food. Why 3 stars? Because it's nothing special for Brunch and basically a plain-Jane average experience that's reminiscent of Village Inn with its basic menu options and old school 90s decor. Samaria Cafe is located in downtown Tampa next to First Watch. We wanted to try something different and not much else was open so we gave Samaria Cafe a shot. Samaria Cafe has kind of an outdated interior decor that reminds me of a village inn restaurant. Just like village inn, the brunch menu options were pretty basic although they did have 4 different Benedict options. I was a little disappointed that the menu doesn't have a lot of seafood options. We ended up getting the mushroom Benedict and the Reuben with coleslaw. The server told us they're known for their Reuben and it did not disappoint. The mushroom Benedict came out a little runnier than expected, so if you like yours well cooked, make sure to specify that! Our food came out in under 10 minutes and there was no wait to be seated. Service was pretty good and friendly. However, unfortunately, No alcohol is sold at this establishment so you won't get the full brunch experience. read more

Very convenient and easy to walk to if you're staying in downtown Tampa. Although you should probably be prepared to wait - the wait moves along quickly and the food is excellent. We love to eat local when we travel, but this place failed in my eyes. The food was good, the service was beyond slow, and the prices were shady. We stopped in here during a busy time and were greeted with a 30-minute wait! It wasn't a problem, and we went for a walk while we waited. We enjoyed the food since we were hungry from the long wait. Then we paid, and the girl that took our card disappeared. We looked for her for about 10-minutes then the hostess brought us our card. We found that a bit weird, and the hostess informed us that she added an extra charge since I had tomatoes instead of bread. I found that very sketchy that it wasn't communicated prior to them running my card. I told her I wouldn't have gotten the tomatoes had they been transparent with me when ordering. Customer service here was a HUGE issue for me. The $2 didn't break the bank, but the principal of the sketchy charge bothered me. A European cafe in the heart of down town Tampa, amazing customer service by the owners and staff. They have a wide menu, so it s hard to decide. Made an order today at 11:30 am (in the middle of the work day), online order stated that it would take "up to 30 minutes" to get done. Note the "up to" part. I arrive at 12 pm exactly, park in a 15-min loading spot because typically when you order online the food is supposed to be ready within the time that it states. I go in and end up waiting over 30 minutes inside the place to get my food. 30 extra minutes in the middle of the work day. I go out to my car and what do you know, I see a $40 parking ticket for leaving the car in the loading zone for over 30 minutes. I usually don't leave reviews because it's rare to have something like this occur and also the food was pretty good, but I was kept being told that the food was almost done and it took 30 extra minutes and I got a parking ticket when I should've got my food instantly and been able to leave with no problems. Please be more cognizant and aware of people's time and adjust the order online time. read more
