I have between going to Sambuca 360 since they opened and tell all my friends about it. I recently had mmHg birthday there. After last night, Friday 1/13/11, I will not be going back for a very long time of ever. My friend and I stood in line for over 2 hours in three freezing cold waiting to get in as group upon group went in through the front and then as an extra line was opened on the other side. The men working the front said for $20 you could get in. The gentleman behind us was told &100! Outrages! And then to be expected to pay a $10 cover charge on top of that. I called today and they said there is a skip line if you pay the guys at the front. So unless you're willing to pay twice to even get in your not going to. Eventually we were told we probably wouldn't get in and we were only four people from the front. That wouldn't be so bad if they weren't excluding everyone else who couldn't pay. We went because our favorite band Emerald City was playing and we didn't get to see them. We were so disappointed, frustrated, freezing and angry that we ended up leaving after being told we weren't going to get in. Sambuca360 just lost two loyal customers. Probably more from the amount of people giving up and leaving. They should be ashamed of themselves. read more

Nice open concept, modern look but food was not good. Went with a work group, called ahead & they gave us 3 entree items to choose from on menu. VERY clear saying we could not change anything or deviate from what was listed. Salad was bitter, 3-4 little chunks of feta. Chicken fried rib-eye?? What a way to ruin it. Broc was hard, texas toast no butter- dry. The best thing was the chzcake sopapilla. Cleared table fast but don't recommend food. 5 others in my party said same. Service was all about what they couldnt do & why they have to do it their way. Too many other choices in the area, I would something else for sure. read more

Monday-Night-Manager, we'll call him "Chase," defends staff, when the customer is "wrong," according to his teenage waitress who apparently likes RUM in her MARGARITAS. I hope that upper management takes note that he does not know how to assist customers, or resolve such simple issues. Orders amounting to $20 per double-margarita (ordered with top shelf CORZON tequilla) that are then served with RUM should be a no-brainer?! (FIX IT, BRING ME A MARGARITA WITH CORZON). Upon suggesting this resolution, he denied even having Corzon - and goes on to assert that "You obviously don't know your tequila." I pointed out the Corzon bottle just behind him. He proceeded to ask me how to resolve the issue. C'mon, I am not the manager in charge of making these decisions, and I had already pointed him in the right direction. Besides, I am NOT the one at work, I'm the customer, out with my wife having margaritas... served with rum! We still had to pay for them by the way. Then we were demanded to leave - too drunk on rum I guess. So, if you're looking for good service, some respect, & fun - Sambuca 360 is not the place. You might just end up with a pino-colada served with tequila... then be asked to take a 180 and leave. read more

The staff was rude and the music wasn't decent ( and decent was all it was) until after 9 pm. I was there for an event so the people were nice. I am unsure of the crowd on other days but a friend that stayed said that it was fun. I will have to say again the staff was rude. This place has the worst service. We went here for Mothers Day brunch and got there when they opened at 11, we did not leave until almost 1:30pm. We must have had 4 waitresses trying to help us and none of them knew what they were doing. It took 30 minutes just to get our drinks. My husband had to go to the bar and pour a water glass for me himself! The food was ok, but we couldn't enjoy it because the service was so bad. I would never eat here again. I'm a big fan of Sambuca 360 when it first opened and yet this is the first time I'm reviewing this place. It's been awhile and Groupon had a compelling offer of $25 on a $50 value. Wow, this is great. As a social procrastinator, my husband and I waited until the expiration date to use the Groupon. We started with two unmemorable cocktails, prosciutto mac and cheese and the chipotle bourbon chicken. I got the filet and he got the Ribeye. The Mac and Cheese barely had any prosciutto and it was weird becuase it looked more like Ziti with white cheese sauce. The Chipotle Bourbon Chicken had barely any meat but had more batter and the sauce was somewhat of a knock off of the Jack Daniel's sauce the Friday's served. Well, it isn't all negative on food because my husband had the Ribeye and it came out fine. My filet came out medium well but as you all know I like mine MRare. I ate it anyway because it was pretty good. My husband who has the biggest pet peeve in steak mistakes told the server that I had an overcooked steak. I kept on telling her it's fine since I ate it and I was famished. I wasn't asking for a comp. Our server was very nice and she actually comped the steak without us asking that to be comped. At the end of the meal, as we presented our groupon, she wasn't able to accept it because of the expiration date. I wasn't aware that they don't take them anymore at their value in the day of the expiration but that doesn't mean they can't honor it for the $25 I paid for it. The server was unaware that I could make that claim and had to prove it to her. Ah, what is the lesson here..Sambuca 360 can be overpriced and at times the food isn't as up to par as the other Sambuca. The server gave me my $25 value but was unaware of how the valuation worked. They're going to have to train their staff on the logistics if they are going to participate in flash sales. So expensive and the food is not good!!! 30$ for lobster enchiladas that were dry and flavorless. The shrimp scampi was just okay. It's typical food. Not worth 30$ either. They also forgot to put the crab in there. If we didn't mention that to the waitress, we would've been taken advantage of. This seems like just a fun place to have a night out with girlfriends. I can't believe the lack of customer service at this place. My friend was rudely treated by a bartender. She decided to make a complaint to the manager-on-duty and he totally discounted everything she had to say. He was more interested in paying attention to a police officer and drunk woman who were outside the bar. He told us that many complaints are made against them, but they manage to stay busy. The worse first experience ever!! 20 of my friends went there for my sister's Bday party last Saturday, My sister took her 18 year old daughter and they advised us she could not stay past 9p because after that is older than 21, we totally understood the rules so I thought my niece and I would just stay to eat and then leave at 9p, so when the security guy named Abe came to tell us it was time for her to leave, I asked for my check so I could pay and leave with my niece and let my sister and friends stay and enjoy the band, I was very surprise when that guy Abe took my niece by her arm and told her she has to leave the building now! first of all it is very rude for a security guy to grab a young lady by the arm and take her outside by herself instead of ask her nicely and just escort her out without touching her, second of all, I asked for 5 mins so the waitress can bring me my check and he didn't want to wait, I talked to the manager and he was very nice about it but when I left I ask that security guy for his name he was very rude to me too saying he was the manager too, he never apologized or anything. Never going to this place again. PS. On top of everything the food was terrible from all of the dishes we tried rice was uncooked on one of them, nothing had flavor, the only nice dish we had was the Crab and shrimp pasta. This place is unpredictable, there is day I will give a 5 stars and there is a day I will give 1 star, so, I am giving 3 stars. Went there one time, during week day, there were few tables and our waiter were no where to be found, I have to look for her to order my drink and I did it twice then there is a day the service is just outstanding, the waiter will come to check with you every 5 minutes. Food is good but the drinks are excellent. Also, the environment is good any days, great music, etc. Also, the bouncer or the ID checker outside the door. Sometime they are rude and sometime they are friendly. One time, I went there he saw us coming then suddenly he turns around to talk to a friend but surely was not a customer and we though maybe he is not going to check our ID since he ignored us even we stand there for 15 seconds, then we just walk pass him then he stopped us, rudely like you " don't know the rules " anyway rude but on our way out maybe he realized how rude he behaved, he became very friendly greeting us. read more

Service was horrible the management was rude. We reserved a section for 10-15 people for 8 PM we arrived at 8 and was informed we could be seated when 1/2 our party arrived. When I made the reservation it would have been great if that was communicated. Once 8 people arrived we asked to be seated. We ordered appetizers and the cab dip smelt very fishy to the point I sent it back. Waited 30 minutes for the new appetizer to arrive. At that point I was not willing to roll the dice again on the food. Four more of the guest show up quickly and the manager came over to ask where the rest of the party was and acted irritated he and frustrated and walked off. I approached him and asked if their was a problem, he apologized but it was obvious he was reluctant and didn't feel the needed to. All night we were harassed by either the manager or the bouncer, it was my first and last visit to this dump. The drinks were good but over priced, a friend had to tip the bouncer to get him to go away as he was good at telling everyone what to do. I know we spent over 400 between 4 of us, unsure what the rest of the party spent but it was definitely over priced for being harassed. The venue itself was nice the band was good the staff was horrible and yes it starts with the manager not to mention the overzealous bouncer. First of all, this place is considered a "private club" and they will have to swipe your drivers license and make you a member. My experience with the hostess was not very good. She did not smile when she greeted us. When we asked why our id are being swiped, she was reluctant to answered. She gave me the impression that we were asking too much and we should shut up. After we sat down, the server was preoccupied with the other guest that were sitting in front of the big screen than us. She was nice but not very attentive. The food was average. We had to wait for awhile. The employees there did not have uniforms or badges with them, so it was hard to identify who was working there if you had ask for something. We sat near the bar and the bartender kept smashing the bottles into the trash can that already had other bottles in it. It made really loud noise and it was very uncomfortable to our ears. He could have just gentle place the beer bottles into the trash can. It feels more like a sports bar than a hip restaurant. I would not recommend anyone to go back again. There are so many other restaurants in the same area that are way better! Usually I would not give a bad review unless I really think that others on Yelp should know about it. I honestly think that Yelp reviews are excellent and really helps to locate the good services you are looking for. The only reason I gave this place one star is because you have to at least give one star. If it was up to me this place wouldn't get any. First of all things were great when we first got there. We were having a great time and meet some great people at the table next to us. Once we ordered about 70 bucks worth of drinks (probably only 4 drinks total) a bouncer rudely came over and told my husband that he needed to take his hat off or leave. Apparently it isn't okay to wear hats there which mind you was never told to us when we first got there. It is ridiculous that places are telling you how to dress. I thought this was a free country. I guess I was wrong I guess people now think they can dictate how you dress. Also if you are in you twenties this place is defiantly not for you. My husband and I are in our late twenties and I think we were the youngest people in there by 20 years. Definitely lots of cougars. Went there 1st time for early dinner Saturday night celebrating an anniversary. Greeted nicely. Waitress was extremely attentive and helpful. Food was excellent-we had stuffed artichokes, scallops and filet (excellently cooked and good sized filet), and sopapilla and chocolate torte. Drinks were very good. This was the worst experience I have had in Plano. I frequent The Shops and have even held a large Christmas party at Sambucca, but Saturday's experience was not pleasant. I made my 7:45 reservation through Open Table. I was called by the restaurant to basically inform me that me and my out of town guest would be kicked out of the table in two hours. Ok you have a time limit, but you don't have to be RUDE! When we arrived on time for our reservations we were seated right in the door way. The restaurant was almost empty at this time. I asked to be seated in a better location (i.e. Not the entry way) and was told we could sit outside. Really?! When I asked to speak to a manager, he came over with an attitude and said it's this table or nothing. We canceled your reservations when you hung up on us 3 times. That is NOT what happened. I could even show the length of the one conversation on my phone. We left and had a wonderful experience right across the street at Nicholas. i have been watching the comments for a while about this place. being someone that goes there almost every night i would like to clarify some of the misconceptions of this place. this is not martini park. if you think it is martini park then you need to go to Lofts 610 or something. Sambuca is an upscale restaurant that turns into a nightclub after 8:00. martini park had 3 huge bars and hardly no food. sambuca took out the rear bar and made it into a dining area. they have a very impressive menu with affordable prices. the drinks are affordable considering where you are. you're in Plano texas. i mean if you want cheap drinks go to greenville. with that being said, martini park didnt sell enough food for the type of liquor license they had. sambuca has a different liquor license where they dont have a % of food/alcohol to maintain. with this type of license, they only require a membership to sell alcohol to people over the age of 21. this is put into place to make sure minors are not coming into the club and it keeps the riff-raff out. the elaborate table is not to glorify your mebership as one put... it is because martini park was not originally designed to have a check point like what is needed. the table is a make shift station that has been put there until a better solution is thought of to get the patrons in quicker, yet still keeping control over the much needed scanning process that TABC requires. ah, the giant 7'6" man at the door. he is sambucas icon. he is the gentle giant calvin lane and has been with sambuca for 18 years. he has been recognized by people magazine, and has starred in many movies. why not have him at the front door to say hi and get your picture taken with him. calvin has been a great additon to the new sambuca and will always smile at you when you walk in. a lot of people are complaining about the cover. well if you dont want to pay a cover charge get there before the band starts. the cover is in place to keep the riff-raff out and to help pay for the bands. there is a live band every night of the week, where else can you get that? no where in the area thats for sure. if you are going to have dinner there, get there early. a lot of people just waltz right in and think they can sit anywhere and get a table. WRONG! do you do that at the keg, or maggianos? no. there is a hostess stand like any other resaurant you have been to. you go, you get a buzzer and you wait for a table like most places that is not a "bar". and dont sit at the tables on the DANCE FLOOR and expect to stay there all night. the tables on the dance floor are removed at 8:30 every night to make a dance floor. it's so funny to see so many people upset because they have to move from their seat. could you imagine eating dinner while everyone is booty-bumping your arm while you are trying to enjoy your meal? the bouncers. lol, some of the smallest bouncers i have ever seen. but dont let their small size fool you, they are either golden glove champs or MMA fighters. have you ever patted one of them on their backs? rock solid. i have seen some of them fight at their events and let me tell you, i dont want to be taken out by one of them. there is a VIP line and for a small fee you can pay the guy to skip line and get in. but dont be fooled, you still have to pay cover. it is funny to see all of these guys dressed in all black running around with CIA headsets in the ears and talking back and forth. cougars. wow, this is the place for young guys to come and score. being the people watcher i am, this is entertainment for me. its funny to see the younger girls come in and think that they run the club. this is a bar put into place by the co-owner, a cougar herself, for all of her friends and older women alike to enjoy themselves. so when the younger women come on here and make fun of it, well it just shows they arent confident enough to go to a bar "designed" for them and hunt themselves. and here is a little advice on how to have a good time at sambuca and not piss everyone off: 1. dont wear a hat backwards. the bouncers love to tell you not to do that and have kicked people out for it. 2. dont blow by the check in table and try to "use the bathroom" or "see if a friend is there". all that does is make you look silly. 3. dont try to get into VIP unless you are invited up there by someone, or you have reserved it yourself. more than likely it is reserved and you are not on the list. 4. dont try and order a drink from the service well. the guy that stands there is an asshole and will kick you out everytime. i have seen him kick out the band members for that matter. sometimes i sit close by just to watch that when there is a suck band playing. 5. please smack a waitress onthe ass. NO I AM KIDDING. easy way to find yourself out the door on you ass. 6. get out when the lights come on. there is a cop who sits in there sometimes and loves to single the drunk people out who wont leave. read more

Never Again!!! I've never been to a place that doesn't split the chceck when its a large party. I felt it was extremely tacky of this establishment to have 14 people looking over one check marking what each person had. I asked if it could be separated out only to be told "if we know in advance the number of your party we can split it". However, the reservations were made more than 24 hours prior to showing up. Therefore, I will NEVER EVER go back to Sambuca 360 and the food was not good at all!! read more

I give this place a B.. OVER PRICED FOOD! More of a night club / bar atmosphere. We had great service and the food tasted wonderful but for the price you pay really not worth it. If your willing to try it out get the Chicken Fried Rib-eye .. AMAZING and the cheapest on the menu. You get a lot of food for that meal however the Salmon plate is very tiny. I recently visited this restaurant for the 2nd time in my life. I got a drink that I did not order. The waitress insisted that I pay for it even though I didn't order it. Not to make a scene I paid for it and gave it to my friend. Later they came and cleared off our table and took off my friends drink as well as the one I bought for him. The ladies watched this happen and told me what had happened and mentioned how rude they were to do something like that. This is after the waitress had already hit on me. Around midnight my friend and I were closing her tab and ordering me one last round(her ride was on the way) while waiting for my drink and her check a bouncer approached my friend who was tipsy but by no means doing anything wrong or causing a scene (just leaning on the bar waiting for her check) he asked her to leave with him, grabbed her nearly finished beer and threw it away, and I was like sir what's going on? He explained she needed to switch to water and leave! I was just put off by their professionalism and actionS.. By no means was my friend drunk or causing any scene. I explained to the bouncer that I had her and her ride was on the way so all the drama was unnecessary and that we were fine. He continued to push the matter of her leaving so I cooperated and he escorted her out. Once I got my tab closed I went in search for her out side and the bouncer was like "oh I think she went that way" I had previously asked the bouncer if ur going to take her now please make sure she gets in her boyfriends car (give name and car description) safely while I close out my tab. But he just let her go without knowing where she went. I soon found her with my other friends (I sent out after her) waiting for her ride. This was WAY uncalled for. yes my friend was drinking. No she did nothing wrong. It was a horrible night Bc these people were on a power trip. I usually respect those looking out for us but this was uncalled for and put my friend in more of a risk pulling her away. They had a long wait list so I'm almost certain they were getting out those who had spent money to get in those who would spend moRe money after waiting inline half the night. When my other friend approached the manger saying "my friend was kicked out and I'd like to understand why?" The manager was just like "well we have limits here." And she followed up by saying "well she wasn't doing anything but closing a tab to leave in 20 mins." And the manager explained they had "standards" but as a bar 90% of the costumers were drunk and that was hypocritical. The manger agreed but shrugged saying "ya well..." Overall the experience and service was not worth the wait, money or time. Don't waste a minute on these people unless u feel like being treated like an idiot and drunk after one or two cocktails. I'm so disgusted. I'm in town visiting my brother and wife and new baby. We wanted to stop here for a cocktail before we went out to eat for my birthday. The hostess explained that we could sit anywhere we wanted. At 6 pm the bar was empty except for one other couple. We at first tried to sit outside. The server looked at my sister in law like she had three heads. She said nothing to us and let us sit at the table for 10 minutes before we decided to try the bar inside. We sat at the bar for another 5 minutes before the bartender told us to leave the bar and try a table. Again we sat around and noticed all the servers talking about us and giving us dirty looks and then we decided it was time to leave. I've been in the restaurant industry for years and I have never been this rude and disgusting to a patron before. I can definitely understand why they had so few customers at happy hour on a Friday! It was the only placed open on Sunday and my wife and I thought we could get dinner. We discovered the kitchen was closed, but we payed the $10 a head (out of stupidity) anyways to grab a drink. My wife asked for a beer for me while I went to the bathroom. The bartender said that she couldn't find a key and that extra beer was in the back. Anyways, she walked around the bar like a chicken with its head cut off until I finally just asked for a shot instead. The guy sitting next to me said he had to go to another bar to get a beer and come back. I could only imagine that maybe he was stuck there because of his girlfriend or something. I have seen cheap 18+ night clubs with better service, atmosphere and cleanliness. What a waste of time and money. I can only assumed that maybe we were prejudged. My wife and I do very well for ourselves and just because someone wears a button down linen shirt with jeans it is no reason to look down on them. My shirt, boots, and jeans cost much more than any of the suits I own. For those in the service industry, just an FYI, many times incorrectly judging a book by its cover may end up losing you amazing customers who are more than gracious with their tips. Very sad for Sambuca servers and bartenders. We did end up a Village Burger instead and in a way I am grateful to Sambuca because otherwise we may have not discovered Village Burger that night, but that's another yelp. read more
