This was a terrible experience, avoid this company. I have a tiny home (450 square feet), and I'm looking to get a mini split a/c installed. For a house this small on a system like that, you're looking at maybe $1800 typically. Tell me why this guy wanted $9500..??? He told me that there was a warranty, professional service, it's a Mistubishi a/c, etc. I let him know it was outside of my budget, but that my landlord has two other houses he may want to get a/c at. I asked if they offer discounts if youre installing at multiple properties. This tech then begins to berate me asking why I didn't have the decision maker with me and why was I wasting his time. Sir. First of all, you're wasting MY time trying to charge me $8k more than necessary. Second, I can make decisions for this home, and I have no idea why you'd get mad about someone suggesting a possible referral for another person who needs your service. I stood firm and let him know that I didn't appreciate the hard sell and he started to gaslight me asking why I have a problem with people asking me questions. He then went on to say that they put their best foot forward with their prices, that I won't get a better rate anywhere else for the same quality, etc. I was like ok, bet. Send me a quote, and I'll share it with my landlord and see if he agrees. See if he's willing to invest the extra money, since this is his house. I'm not paying more than max $3k for a house that isn't mine. He says, I've been doing this for 15 years and I know that quotes don't convey all the professionalism I showed today. I said, well you said we wouldn't find a better rate and that it's a good quote, and you're asking for $9.5k. I don't have 9.5k. I have 3-4 but if it is a good quote I need my landlord to chip in the other 5. He's like just run your credit really quick. You don't even have to pay for the whole first year! ... red flags. Red flags everywhere. It got to the point where I needed to ask him to leave because he kept pushing and refused to give me the quote. Kept telling me to call my landlord (who I had been texting with), and was mad that I wouldn't because he's at work. Kept talking about how I shouldn't have called if I needed someone else there.... which I DONT except you're asking for thousands more than the standard. read more

My 9 year old water heater died. I requested several quotes. Same Day was the only one who noticed that I had a 10 year warranty on it (sticker on the tank), I hadn't remembered. Thanks to Brian, who helped me contact the necessary people, my tank was a free replacement. Brian and Malik went to pick up the replacement, all needed new parts, and installed the new tank very quickly. Everything looks clean and professional. He talked me through all replacement parts and even kept one of the old parts that was in great condition that will make future work so much easier. These two are some of the most professional and friendly workmen I have ever worked with. This is our second year hiring Same Day for our central heating check-up. They have partnered with Home Depot, and if you can get in on the HD value deal, it is definitely worth it! Our Technician, Willie, was professional, on time, super friendly and knowledgeable about our system. He performed a visual inspection and tune-up. He took pictures of everything he did and explained all of the results in an easy to understand way. There was no hard sell at all. He did leave us with all the information and options to make informed decisions about future needs, which we really appreciated. One tip: when they text you to confirm your appointment, make sure you immediately confirm, or they may cancel it. That is a company thing, not anything on the service techs. I cannot say enough good things about Same Day Heating, Cooling, and Plumbing. We used Same Day for a full HVAC replacement. Mike, our sales representative, was very knowledgeable, friendly, and clear. He explained to us all of our options considering how frequently we use our heater and AC. After consulting a few other options, we decided to book with Same Day due to their immense knowledge, 12yr warranty, referral from a close friend who had a positive experience, and competitive pricing. We opted to go with Same Day as opposed to a previous HVAC installer from a previous home (the "incumbent") because of the above. The install team - Jeff, Malik, and Jose - did an AMAZING job. I say that because our previous HVAC was not set up properly - we found out during the install process that numerous areas were not up to code and had major issues. Recently we had an attic inspection and cleanup scheduled. The guy who came out told us we needed our ducts replaced immediately and made it seem like a very dire situation. We decided to give Same Day Heating & Air a call for a second opinion since they had installed our central a/c a year ago, and I'm glad we did. They scheduled an evaluator to come out promptly, and gave us a great price since we'd done business with them before. Their quote came in 4k under the other company's quote! We signed the contract on Friday and by Monday they were here, and by Tuesday they were all done, as estimated. Our install techs were Samson and JP, and they were awesome and super friendly. They were on time, considerate of cleanup, and did a great job of walking us through the process and answering any questions we had. Samson even gave us a heads up on what to expect as far as feeling a difference in air flow due to the changes in the ducts and vent sizing, and you could tell he really enjoys and geeks out over what he does! They made our duct system more efficient and changed where some of the vents come out, so we no longer will have to worry about hot/cold air blowing too directly at our baby's crib. Moises and Jimmy with Same Day heating cooling and plumbing replaced the old ducts for my heating/air. They also added ducts at the back of the house. The company that originally put the ducts in told me they could not reach that area. Moises and Jimmy successfully installed heat to the back bedroom and bathroom even though the space they had to work in was small and tight. I really appreciate their extra effort because I now have heat in the bathroom and the bedroom that I use the most. Ok so a few things: After the Home Depot special I realized that our system needed a replacement. We ended up going with a heat pump. The original quote was quite high but after shopping around we got the system for nearly half of our original quote. Their base models are day and night and I was told by competitors that it was and inferior brand (as compared to Lennox) however after looking at consumer reports night and day rates much higher. The install was relatively easy and they fixed any damage caused during install. The reception staff was responsive and got out techs quickly and had good availability (mind you this happened in the winter so their low season). The sales staff was PUSHY it was the reason I took off a star. But so far my system is far superior to my previous one and is whisper quite. read more
