We were staying at a hotel literally walking distance so we decided to give it a go. Not going to lie, the first 10/15 mins. We felt out of place. Maybe because it fell like a spot only locals go to. But it all changed once my wife's salad came. It was built with the utmost care and it tasted amazing. It was like a fancy balsamic salad with sourdough bread and cherry tomatoes. Then our waiter was very helpful and told us about the food and recommended a wild mushroom pasta. He said all the pasta sauces were made the same day and he even showed us a video of the kitchen and how the noodles are made. I like mushrooms but I'm usually a burger or a steak guy. But I went with it. My wife got a shrimp pasta. Both tasted absolutely amazing...my wife pasta was so refreshing and my mushroom pasta was superb!! The waiter was so cool too. There was a super nice sunset and he told us to go outside and look at it because it was a rare type of sunset. This is one of those restaurants where the food is made of high quality ingredients and the chef/s really does put care into their dishes. My opinion, most restaurants in Palm Springs are way too expensive, and only decent to mediocre at best. Trio is not that. It's a regular spot for us, especially the happy hour. Everyday from 4-6pm. Well cocktails are 6 bucks, martinis are 10, and they typically poor doubles, so amazingly worth it. Happy hour beet tartare is surprisingly delicious for what it is. Although, I would pick out a bunch of the capers. Restaurants have this thing dumping handfuls of capers like it's the main ingredient. It's like eating a whole dill pickle in a cheeseburger. Wow. Also get the pork belly crispy rice. You won't be disappointed. We come here for their regular menu for special date nights and are never disappointed. The pork chop was awesome. Yet another great early meal at Trio, indoors this time due to temperatures over 100. I had to try the beet appetizer I had seen described on their online menu, and it was a tasty mixture of great flavors. Decor features Shag paintings (my favorite local artist), with the usual excellent service I expect here. This is our third time to Trio. The first two were for lunch, which we liked quite a bit. This time we went for dinner and it was ok. While the food was good and the service was very good. The place is pricey for what you get. I had the sesame tofu, my son had a burger, my wife a salad and my daughter the raviolis. All that came to well over 150 Dollars. Everyone in the desert raves about Trio. We've been here a couple times for dinner and while the atmosphere/décor are cool, the service, cocktails, and food are average at best. During our last visit, we were handed three food and drink menus, and they were all different, which our waiter argued that they weren't, until I showed him specifically that they were. Then when we ordered, we were told that several dishes weren't available...not sold out, but simply not available. There was a gentleman (I believe the owner) working the front entry and greeting people, although many of us enter through the rear from the back parking lot. He spent most of his time seated with friends and chatting. Maybe he should spend a little more time paying attention to details? DRINKS: During our visits, we've tried several cocktails, including the Forever Marilyn ($16), Blood Orange Whiskey Sour ($18), Trio Old Fashioned ($18), Boulevardier ($18), Espresso Martini ($18), Red Sangria ($12). Some were better than others, but overall, not too impressed with the bar staff. We went on a Monday during Memorial Day. There is street parking and a parking lot in the back. I would say the decor is retro (with orange accents). Our server was pleasant and attentive. We tried the appetizers: House-made biscuits, crab croquettes, and crispy tofu bites. The mains were the smash-burger, bbq ribs, braised short ribs, and the half chicken. What a pleasant surprise this was! We wandered by at 4ish on a Saturday and they were having happy hour, so we popped in. We ordered the happy hour house-made biscuits and chips and they were PERFECT for enjoying with a couple drinks! The happy hour itself was great as well ($4 beer, $6 wine, $6 wells, $10 martinis). Good News PSP travelers! Trio Restaurant opened on 4/12/2025 past security in the Sonny Bono terminal. This terminal has been lacking a good restaurant and Trio has arrived. Breakfast is served along with sandwiches, salads, and even desserts. On my visit I had the cheeseburger which was actually 2 patties and very flavorful! The French fries were piping hot and crunchy. For travelers that have some free time, there is both an indoor and outdoor seating area along with a bar. For those wanting to take something with them on the plane they can box it for take away (and your seat mates may become jealous). Definitely a good place to grab a bite and or a drink! read more

The fresh house-made biscuits were delicious, and we loved the homemade compound butter. The Caesar salad was excellent as well. First time in Palm Springs and this place looked the most promising. The wait wasn't long despite there being multiple groups of people during this timid of day. The staff was so energetic and welcoming she made us feel like we were regulars lol. The presentation of the food was very nice however the food for itself wasn't that great. All our food items were fresh I think it was just how bland the items we had were. Their cocktails were very good and refreshing so I would recommend trying them out. They have seating available both inside and out, we personally loved seating outside the flowers and water misters were a great addition to make our hot afternoon comfortable and a lot more vibrant. We recently had the pleasure of experiencing the summer menu at Trio in Palm Springs as part of a Dining with The Davids event--and it was phenomenal! If you're not familiar, Dining with The Davids is a local food experience where a group of invited food lovers (aka "Taste Buds") gathers to sample a curated menu, usually around 9-10 dishes. Everyone tastes one to two bites of each course, then votes for their favorites. The top picks are featured in a video series in partnership with NBC Palm Springs. At Trio, we were treated to everything from melt-in-your-mouth A5 Wagyu Carpaccio to an unforgettable Wild Mushroom Ravioli. The Beet Tartare absolutely stole the show for appetizers, and dessert was a tough call--but the Chocolate Pot Au Crème, topped with toasted marshmallow and served with graham crackers, was a nostalgic favorite. Chef Gladis and the entire team at Trio delivered outstanding flavors, presentation, and hospitality from start to finish. If you haven't been recently, this summer menu is worth the trip--and if you ever get the chance to attend a Dining with The Davids experience, jump on it. Damn the service was great. Damn the food was innovative ! Comfort gourmet American. Our table had several chef orderve specials I had the branzino. It was fantastic. It was accompanied by a medley of vegetables spiced up mildly with capers. Others had the short rib and stuffed pasta specials. Everyone loved their meal. My husband and I were walking down Palm canyon drive and seen this restaurant and decided to stop by. They were very attentive since we were the first customers they open around 4pm we were tired from a morning of shopping in Cabazon outlets so this was very nice to be treated extremely well. The drinks were so good. It's actually one of the few places I enjoy led the calamari from it wasn't chewy it was just perfect crunchy and delicious like I like it. The burgers were great we got the burgers and the meat was delicious as well as their sweet potatoe fries. I also love how bright and orange it is very up to par with Palm Springs. read more

This was solid food all the way down. My first time in Palm Springs, and Trio was recommended for a nice-ish dinner. So we booked reservations for a Thursday night at 8:15 (which was the earliest they had available). We got sidetracked that night exploring VillageFest (which happens every Thursday night in downtown Palm Springs), so I called and told them we were running behind. The person who answered the phone said not to worry, and that they'll see us when we get there. We amble in sometime around 8:50 or so, and get seated right away. Our server, Maria, came to greet us and get drink orders. I asked if they could make me a hot toddy (they did - very strong, very citrus-y). We ended up getting an ACE pear cider as well. We got the soy ceviche (loved how light and refreshing it is) and the seafood cocktail (which was kind of like a ceviche) - both of these come with tortilla chips. Oh, and the bread they serve is great too. Simple, crunchy-on-the-outside, soft-on-the-inside bread. We also shared the Yankee pot roast. Beef was super tender, sauce was flavorful, mashed potatoes was a nice complement. Also got the truffle fries, which were nice and crisp, and good to munch on. Sprinkled with cheese on top. We skipped dessert because we were too full. Also, that night, Trio was donating 60% of their proceeds to the Desert AIDS project, so we were happy to be donating to a good cause! My partner and I went to Trio for an early dinner this past Saturday. It was early in the evening so the restaurant had just opened and it wasn't crowded. Our server, we can't remember his name, was very helpful and gave wonderful recommendations! We decided to start with a Caesar salad and the tuna tower. We enjoyed our dinner here! The half chicken was really good and I loved the balsamic sauce that was on the plate. The chicken itself could have been a little bit more seasoned or salty as it was a bit bland, but the texture was amazing and it was juicy and tender. The ragu was great my boyfriend loved it and he said that his old fashioned was the best one he has ever had!! I loved the triotini it had such a great cucumber flavor. We both love cheddar biscuits so we had to try them but they weren't our favorite. They had a bit of a burned charcoal taste. It needed a different flavor. I asked for some honey and it tasted better with the honey. Overall wouldn't order these again. The service was really good and our waiter was very nice and helpful. Very fun to chat with.
