Never had Chinese food with the spice being a jalapeno. Seriously, that was the only spice.

I'm going to start this review by saying that this used to be my favorite Chinese restaurant in the Northeast. Used to be. They had two owners before. The food, service, atmosphere was so good. The prices way lower then they should have been. I recommend it to everyone and frequently enjoyed it! Then everything changed. Sam, the then only owner, first moved his "office" in the first booth as you walked into the restaurant. It started with some paperwork, an occasional interview. One night, it was a huge fight between the cook and Sam. It was embarrassing for everyone in the place. That was our last visit for years, until tonight. I was craving some food Chinese and was on the Northeast side of town and saw the building. Since I never had an issue with the food, and this was a take out order anyway, why not!! It's not even close to the same. The place was dirty and run down. His office still in the first booth. The food was blah. The supposedly spicy General Tso was really flavorless, except for the jalapeno, yes, jalapeno in it. Not the spicy chili peppers, or red chili flakes, but one jalapeno, on the top. The Crab Rangoon, again, was flavorless. It a just cream cheese with maybe some pureed crab-like sorta substance. Although, I would say, it was deep fried wonderfully. So disappointed.

Sam's Bistro warning!!!!! We ordered dinner from Sam's Bistro off Dyer street. I started eating the egg foo young and noticed inside my food. I took pictures of it and called the restaurant. He apologized and asked what I wanted him to do. I asked for a refund and through all the food in the trash. Be careful about what you eat. Please check your food when eating out. Eating out is not a friend of mine.

I meant to present the dishes before but ... I couldn't wait lol

WOW!!! I don't know who's in the kitchen tonight, but they killed it!! I had delivered, crab Rangoon, broccoli beef, general Tso's chicken, and pork fried rice. Everything was still hot and I can honestly say it's been a long tome since I've had fried pork rice this good!! I ordered the family order so I don't have to cook and just enjoy the delicious food for the rest of the weekend, woohoo!

Loved the place nice comfortable seating. Ordered from the lunch special menu. We got the sesame chicken, orange chicken, the spicy basil tofu, stirfry, and fried rice. Everything was delicious and great full portions for the price. Great service! If I'm ever in the area again I will definitely stop by.

Dinner date & everything was delish. Best egg drop soup I've had in a long time. This was first time trying the dumplings and we liked them both steamed and fried, they were very fresh. Also recommend the beef chow mein. They don't skimp on portion size here and you definitely get your money's worth. Our server was so courteous and the nicest waitress we've had in a hot minute. This place gets busy on Friday nights but we had no wait time. The interior of this restaurant makes it worth dining in, but take-out has always been fresh and they have never messed up my order.

3.5 stars for solid food. Egg drop soup was good. Ordered Kung Lao chicken and generals chicken with rice combo. Portions and flavors weren't bad. Just enough food for two hungry soldiers. Would order from again!

Really good food, but service is not that great. Prices are reasonable too. Good atmosphere and almost authentic feel inside

The service has been upgrade and so has the food, it's a four star rating because what you pay for is worth what you get!

Pretty yummy! Like the buffet, but it could've been fresher. Guess that's the trouble with all-day buffets. Still, I'd go back!

We have been to this restaurant many many times over the last 15 years. We always order take out…read moreand the portion sizes are quite large and they always pack it up so neatly so there are no spills in the car. I highly recommend the eggplant in garlic sauce. It is by far our favorite and the tender eggplant just melts in your mouth. Our other go tos are the vegetable lo mein and the kung pao vegetables with tofu added. The passion fruit boba is also really good.

The food here was terribly bland. We ordered several dishes that are supposed to be spicy but they…read morewere completely flat. They also offered "free" fried rice with just about any dish, but it was actually just really dry brown rice. No veggies or anything, just plain brown rice. We ordered 2 chicken entrees and a beef entree, and between the three of them there MIGHT have been enough meat for ONE entree. The egg rolls were like over-fried flautas, and didn't really resemble egg rolls in look or taste. I also asked for specific condiments like hot mustard and soy sauce. We had 3 entrees and two appies and got 2 packets of soy. Inside, the place was dingy and smelled of rancid grease. They also had a sign up that said "No Cholesterol," and "We use vegetable oil." I'm sorry, but anywhere you fry stuff, no matte what the oil, there's cholesterol! The price was cheap but I would prefer to pay more and get quality food.
