Just finished lunch here today and it dawned on me that I've been eating here since the 90's. The quality has only improved. Even the little details are nice, such as the to-go boxes are biodegradable. The salads and homemade soups are always fresh. I really enjoy the Tubular Tracy's Veg Supreme sandwich. Always fresh and good ingredients. This is the one place I can always count on to take people. There's a full bar in the back and restaurant seating out front when I want to bring the whole family. No stars from me. My family and I ate here last Thursday evening. I was firstly very disturbed by the state of the restrooms, which I discovered after we had eaten our meals. The passage and bathroom had an overwhelming smell of urine and the sinks were coated in a layer of grime. The thought of the staff potentially using those facilities and then handling the food made me naseous. On-top of that we were treated so badly by two waitresses, which included hurling abuse at us, across the restaurant as we left, by our waitress, that I will never go back and will never recommend this place to anyone. All I did was enquire as to how much longer it would be until our grilled cheese was ready and then all hell broke loose. After 25 minutes and it being 9:30pm I thought this was a legitimate question. We had to pay for that grilled cheese too, even though we didn't get it. I see from another review this isn't the first time this has happened! To those looking for a place to eat, don't waste your money. To the owner of this restaurant, you have some very serious staff issues. Having worked in the hospitality industry myself from the floor to management I have never in my life seen a person behave the way your waitresses did. read more

I had dinner here with my family while staying in Seaside. The portions here seem to be smaller, so we ended up ordering a lot of food for 4 of us. We ordered 2 clam chowder bread bowls, 2 salads, an order of hand-battered oysters, and halibut and chips. I felt the clam chowder was ok....I think there was more bread than the chowder itself though. I had the cobb salad and even though it was a bit on the small side, it was very good. I felt the oysters were a bit overpriced since it only came out with 5 pieces for $8, but it was really good. The halibut was hot and flaky....the fries were all right though it was not as crispy as I wanted. The service was attentive and our waiter was friendly and pretty funny. This is a good place to eat, but not for those with big appetites. read more

I like them. They are open later than most places in town if you are looking for a burger around 10$. The service is good and they always have freshly baked goods like cookies and apple turnovers near the cash register which I love. The bartenders will over all make whatever you want as long as you know what's in it lol. So overall, they are good all around . I'm super thankful to have them available to us as late as they are. We were looking for somewhere to eat that didnt involve food on a stick or served on a paper plate. We said" what the heck" and walked into Sams. We were a party of 6 and found a table right away. The server was with us super quick, hes a tall slim man with grey hair and glasses, and he knows how to work the room. Our drinks came quick and were never empty. Full glasses of soda would appear before the kids ever had to ask for a refill and he kept hubby and I properly sauced in beer. The food was good, I had a crab melt. Crab was fresh. ($16) came with fries. Kids had hamburgers ($8) and voted them top notch . We all decided to make this a regular stopping place when we visit seaside every year. read more

Hey.. I could give this place 3-1/2. They are special. They got a bunch of Mr. Potatoheads for kiddies (of all ages?) ready in addition to the regular crayon & coloring paper places have. Their homemade fries and chips are nice too. And their $1 ("small") choco milk is huge! Their "Hawaiian burger" (pineapple&teriyaki sauce) is super! It pains me to give a local restaurant a 2 star rating. I ordered the halibut fish and chips. The halibut cut was thin and dry compared to Bell Buoy. If you think that the fish was bad, the chips were worst. The chips/fries were burned, oily, and soggy. The service was good. read more

Excellent service! The staff were friendly and very attentive. Granted there weren't many occupied tables, but our server was cheerful, laid back, and very helpful. Went in for some late dinner as they were one of the few places left open after 9:30 on a Saturday holiday weekend night. Greeted right off the bat and server was with us within 2 minutes. Ordered a beer, glass of wine, garbage fries, mozzarella sticks and halibut fish and chips. Waited maybe 10-15 minutes if that for our food and it was terrific. The garbage fries were crispy, cheesy and oh so bacon. The halibut was fried perfectly and was seasoned just right. Way too much food for just the two of us but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Just fantastic. I was searching for food in the area late last night and this place said it served food till midnight. Very pleasant atmosphere with good music playing. The guy who took my order was really cool and very helpful. Same with the woman who rang up my order. I got the Halibut Fish n Chips (~ $14.95) and the Calamari (~ $10) to go and brought it back to where I was staying. It was worth every penny. Absolutely delicious. Should have left at that point but gave the benefit of the doubt. Menus finally came. Gave drink order. Waited about 20 minutes. Gave dinner order and waited. When food came I asked for the check. That came quickly, along with the take out boxes I didn't ask for. All of which were slammed down. The food was good but we didn't get out until 9:30. Amazing chili, it was just perfectly spiced and full of flavor! And don't even get me started on the fantastic burgers! Well first off this place is sparkly clean and the Brian who waited on us was so friendly. He apoloized for the wait because he was the only server and maning the bar, well we waited for him to come to our table for like 2 min, that is no wait at all. The food was great the calamari was perfectly cooked the fish and chips was up there with some of the best we have ever had. This is definitely going to be a comeback when we come into town. I'll start off by saying the food was amazing! I had the clam chowder in a bread bowl and my boyfriend had a burger. Both were flavorful and cooked well. If you are looking to eat out, but not spend a hole bunch of highly recommend this place. The service was fast and friendly. My only complaint would be cleanliness. There was large chunks of food under multiple tables that had already been busted and set up for the next customer to sit at. They also had an employee who was pretty much just standing around the whole time we were there, so it looked like someone was available to pick you the food on the ground. read more

A family get together of 10 people had mixed reviews. Eight got burgers and they were all smashed and burnt. On top of that, all the orders were mixed up so we had to dig in the burgers to figure out whose was whose. Two of us got fish and chips and they were excellent. Great service, ok food. The wait staff was very friendly and fast. Kudos to them for dealing with a non-functional credit card machine too. Food was alright. Decent, but nothing special. The fried fish didn't seem to have any flavoring added to it. And the breading was a bit doughy (also happened with our clam strips). The garlic burger was decent, but not very garlicky. It mostly relied on the grilled onions and onion bun for its taste. Fries were delicious though. One last thing, my kiddo was given a child's menu with a picture to color, but no crayons.
