I'm only giving 1 star because of the poor service! Their food wasn't too amazing, but overall it was good. The volcano burger was great! The steaks tasted decent. I'd not recommend the Filet Mignon because my friend couldn't eat it at all. The ribeye tasted the best out of all. Except that I did ask for a medium rare but it came out medium well! Now, as of service. We had to wave at the waitress to grab her attention after sitting down at the table for 20 minutes! We had to ask for the menu and even for water. She didn't even give glasses to half the people on our table. Then we had to grab her attention again for her to take our order. While we were eating, not for once she asked if we needed anything or if the food was good. The bill came then she went gone again and we had to get up to go to the counter to pay for it. Sam's steak and grill can really improve on customer service. Maybe train the employees. Because we paid our 18% tip out of courtesy but it wasn't really deserving. Otherwise, a place with lot of ambition. But please stop having one server to serve 8 tables! It can get overwhelming for them too. read more

Phenomenal place! The entire staff is super helpful and attentive. I came here with my family for my birthday and was not disappointed. Our server was really friendly and knew the menu very well. The food was beyond delicious. The rack of ribs are so moist and mouther watering and our steaks were well seasoned and cooked. The portions are huge and can be shared. Ambience is nice our waiter was very friendly. The food however was mediocre, I ordered the short rib which was DRENCHED in bbq sauce to the point where you cannot taste the meat at all, The plate also had a huge bone sitting on it for no reason not sure why it was there, the poutine fries were extremely salty and the loaded nachos also were drowning in a pool of oil. First of all this place is halal which is nice. Cute place. All virgin drinks which is different than most halal places I've been to. Overpriced appetizers. Free refills on soda. The loaded nachos were delicious, had a premix of veggies and ground beef and a lot of melted cheese.. but very small. Mozzarella sticks were good, enough for the whole table. The cheeseburgers were good and juicy (my friends ordered it) the steak I ordered (10 oz ny strip) was good in size but dry. The steaks automatically come with salad as one side and you cant sub it which sucks. The second side you get to choose from rice, mashed potatoes, veggies, and fries. I chose mashed potatoes. It comes with gravy. Nowhere in the menu does it state that it comes with gravy which is annoying. If I knew, I wouldnt have ordered it with gravy. We went there last night and had 2 volcanic burgers, filet mignon and a T-Bone steak. The burgers were 2/5. Patty was too thick and not very flavorful. The sweet potato and waffle fries were actually pretty good. Onto the steaks, keeping in mind that this is a halal joint, the steaks were on par with regular non halal American establishments. Not the best steak out there but definitely good enough that they warrant a repeat visit. We also had a mango mojito and one other fancy drink. For me they were way too sweet and I wouldn't get them again. To wrap up, I would definitely visit this place again and plan on sticking to the steaks and hopefully get to try the ribs next time. read more

Two stars because the corn beef hash was alright. Two waiters when we walked in, no one offered us a seat. When my friend and I sat down we werent offered any drink options. The menus we got were covered in some unidentified slime. The waiters never checked on us, I had to get up to find a waiter to place my order. The waiters had to double check our orders multiple times despite us being extremely clear on what we wanted. The coffee I ordered was watery and seemed to have a slight layer of oil. The color was closer to lipton's tea than black coffee. I can only guess that the coffee sits uncovered near some cooking equipment. Maybe I'd order to go but definitely will not be sitting down again. read more

I visited this steak house twice. first time it wasn't that good of an experience. I ordered 8oz ribeye steak medium well but the steak was too dry. But the second I ordered 12oz rib eye steak also medium well this time they did a better job the second time.so maybe 12oz is a better choice.I recommend this place.Service is good as well. read more

I can here on a Saturday afternoon, the place was empty right outside the door you see that there is no alcohol serve. We ordered the sriracha shirk princess which was dry so basically fried shrimp. I had the shroom burger when it came is it was missing the mushroom the BBQ sauce and the mayoi had to remind the of the mushrooms. my fiancé had the juicy lucky burger which he liked . He also has the Virginimango mojito which was good and I had the passion fruit which taste like seltzer water I hate seltzer water i had sweet potatoes fried with was good. My sister told me this place was a 5/5, best Wings and Ribs in the world. My wife made me drive here from south jersey, took us around 3 hours to get to Yonkers to visit my brother. Yes, she made me drive all day long, but I was in the M6 so I didn't complain too much. The luxury, the speed and surprisingly the handling of this v8 twin turbo sedan (or as BMW calls it 'Grancoupe') is just mind blowing. It goes without saying she did yell at me a few times on this trip to slow down and relax as her heart was jumping out of her chest from the adrenaline rush a passenger experiences. Not knowing what's in the mind of the driver, what will be the next move. As we arrive to the final destination my ears are sore and head is pounding from my wife yelling so much, parking was not bad, as we found a secure location to halt this beast. Our daughter took us here for a Pre - Hajj dinner and we were not dissapointed at all. As someone who eats regularly at Kosher Steakhouses, especially Wolf and Lamb and Lemaaris in the city, I can safely say Sams is on par. Sam's Steakhouse took over the space from the famous PJ Harper restauraunt that has been there for the past 85 years. They kept all the same decor and sports memorabilia as PJ which is wonderful. This place was once a bar and it's obvious as soon as you walk in because Sams Steak and Grill has filled the bar area with a GREAT selection of virgin cocktails! I tried the piña colada from here and it was one of the best I've ever had. As for the food itself, I'm slightly impartial as it tastes different every time I visit (hence the 4 stars). I was a big fan of their ribeye steak and their charcoal burgers. But I started exploring more menu items as they started rolling out new cuts and more dishes! Recently I tried their beef brisket and their lamb chops. Both dishes were fulfilling and 100% worth the price! I also saw on Instagram that they're carrying Halal Wagyu now. WHAT?!!??! How can you hate on this place? As for the atmosphere, it has a bar type feel to it with much better lighting. Definitely great for date night-- though I don't remember there being any music. There's an abundance of parking as well so you don't have to worry about that. We went without making reservations and there were plenty of tables. 9/10 this place is on my list of frequent places to enjoy halal steak from. We had a server with a unibrow (he never introduced himself to us) and he seemed clueless about everything from the food menu to service. We all got our food separately and not to mention it was all cold. We even sent it back but he still brought it back cold again. I got the cavatappi pasta and is was way too spicy to eat I wasn't even able to taste the food and I'm a person who only eats spicy food so you could only imagine. Presentation of the food is great but there are a few big issues. The steaks have a lot of fat on them, not a good cut of meat. Unless you love to chomp down on a very fatty steak, stray away. So we got there around 7:40 and i see the restaurant is almost full. It's a zabiha halal steakhouse and its ramadan and all they got are TWO SERVERS!! Guess how long we waited for the food..... AN HOUR!!! Again, the servers were doing the best they could. When we got food, steak was bland. I literally had to put salt and pepper by myself. The burgers got buns as big as the patty. You take a bite and you get tired while chewing it. I drove 20 miles just to try this place. Guess what we got, a bland steak, dry burgers and a lot of patience to have. This place is awesome. I visited on my last trip to New York and honestly loved the food. Every ingredient is fresh, and the atmosphere of the restaurant is very hard to find anywhere else. I got the Nutella french toast and pastrami/beef bacon omelet. Everything was on point, their house drinks are good too. I would recommend this place especially if you're in the area. This review is solely about the professionalism and courtesy of the staff at this establishment not the quality of their food. I called to make a reservation for 6 people on a Saturday night for a dinner slot at 7pm. A young man told me that they do not take reservations and even though it would be busy due to it being a Saturday, I "would not have to wait more than 20min". I was happy with that response so my family and I show up at said time. It's a tiny place for a steakhouse and they tell us the wait was for half an hour for the seats in the back (which were normal versus the high top chairs they have by the bar area). My folks are old and can't sit on those so I said that's okay it's only 10min more than what they said on the phone so we would wait. Wait we did. After 25 min we went to check and they were like yeah it's still half an hour wait at the least. We were all hungry by now so I asked to speak to the person in charge and he was extremely unprofessional stating that "we don't guarantee a wait time at all". He kept saying this in round about ways when I asked why I was reassured by him (turns out he was the guy on the phone) about a max wait of 20min. Ultimately he got dismissive and said you could have just taken the high top dining seating option, to which I said I wasn't informed of such discrepancies in seating. We left right after because of how hypocritical and unaccommodating the staff was. I will not be returning to this place. read more
