Completely unprofessional. One of his workers yanked on a gas pipe and broke it and then Junior tried to say the pipe wasn't broken. Not only that but then he yelled at me when I was asking him why that happened and why a PVC pipe had been cut that he didn't tell me he was cutting. Had to kick him off my property. Do not hire them for anything!!! BEWARE!!!! read more

And secondly I waited a year to see if he would come back and complete the finishing touchups, like connecting the drain properly and not leaving it sticking out of the ground, And reinstalling back door. Worse service ever do not use this guy! JR's work is unacceptable. Lots of mistakes curvy lines in the concrete and this guy is full of excuses!!!! Instead of manning up and taking responsibility and just fixing the issues to make you happy, he makes excuses! Full of crap! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! Also, he says he will finish job in a certain time frame and one day shows up the next day doesn't show or call. If it's not one thing it's another. I made the worst mistake hiring him for work on my backyard! I guess expensive lesson learned. I will be contacting the CA state license board. Jr and his crew did an amazing job on our backyard. We have a 1/2 acre of unusable land in our yard (hills, dirt and rocks). Jr came in and graded, built retaining walls, stairs, and poured concrete in a week ( even during 100 degree heat)! He was even patient when we had issues that delayed production time due to HOA rules. He was in constant contact with my husband and i with updates or suggestions to improve the design. 2 of our neighbors have even already booked him to do their yards! OK So I had to revise my review. The concrete has UGLY drip marks running down the sides. About 2 weeks after the steps were poured, we contacted JR and said, "Hey, can you come check this out, the stain appears to be running down the sides of the stairs?" He came out quickly and said "I've never seen that before in all my years of concrete. The place where I get the concrete must have messed up. It'll probably fade away after it fully cures in a couple of weeks. I'll stop by and check on it. If it doesn't clear up, I'll take care of it." OK-- This is not the time to tell the customer what you think they want to hear. The part of the concrete that has drip marks is on the FRONT of my house. If it were in the backyard or the side of my house, I wouldn't be writing this. BUT, it's the entry to my house. JR has NEVER come by, never called. NOTHING. He got paid. We're never gonna hear from him again. It's been 9 months. According to another concrete guy, there's nothing he can do, except stain over it, which will look like crap after the stain wears and peels off. So I am stuck with his mistake. I still he thinks he does great job, but I would NEVER go with tinted concrete again. He should have warned us that "streaking may occur." read more

First of all this company should be 5 stars on yelp. By far his finished product exceeds all concrete companies I have looked at for my project. He has superior attention to detail. Just look at the lines and how the concrete is brushed in opposite direction to create an aesthetically pleasing pattern. The compass rose was a wonderful added bonus and I absolutely love how it adds to my decking around the pool. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND anyone looking to do concrete call him. Use him he is by far the best. I don't think JR is an honest guy in his work, nor responsible guy fixing issues afterward. Obviously, he is not licensed, and thus his business style is more like just hit and run. I had drive way, garage floor and front porch floor concrete done by JR about 1 and half years ago. From last a couple of month, my crawl space below front porch concrete area having sipping water through the concrete, making molding issue there, and I realized that the front porch concrete has no slope at all, so that rain water making big puddle. It's obviously not following the code as no slope on outdoor floor. I called JR several times, but he just keeps evading. I spent whole weekend waiting for him to come by just to take a look at the issue. I know he is not responsible enough so that he will not take care of any issue in the future. Please be aware that his job will not follow code, and you'll be alone fixing those issue afterward. read more

Jr did a great job on my concrete addition. I contacted him and were able to set an appointment right away. After discussing future plans, JR got me thinking about things I could do now to give me that start. Being on a budget, it didn't matter to JR we agreed and two days later Jr shows up as one man wrecking crew. He showed up early with his equipment and dug out the whole side of my house. Luckily I have a large private driveway, we were able to accommodate all the vehicles and the equipment. It could not had gone any better. Jr and his crew were all great. Everybody came to work. It wasn't your typical excuses and just standing around to get paid. From starting at 8 am to finishing around 8 pm. They demo, formed and set rebar, poured, finished and cleaned up. I cannot wait to continue to expand my yard. Thank you Jr. Now my daughter has more room to play. read more

I wanted to add additional information to help WARN consumers to stay away from JR, aka: SD Concrete Guy/Bobcat Guy...As we were removing the trash he buried in our property, and removed his faulty retaining walls, we found that he poured concrete footings on top of our swimming pool pipes, and buried live sprinkler lines underneath where the concrete deck was going to be. Had we not received the warning from one of his employees about the faulty workmanship, we would've continued to have very costly issues years from now, as another Yelp reviewer recently reported "Mold, sloping issues, etc" a year and a half later as a result of JR's Family owned and operated business. It saddens me that he obviously has no care or pride in the work he delivers to his customers, and after he's collected his money will not return any calls to remedy his faulty work.
