However, she did check on us and asked if we needed anything. For me, I care more about the food. I haven't had Peruvian food in a while, so came here. We ordered the ceviche peruano, Lomo Saltado and Charcoal half chicken. We also were served unlimited chips & salsa. Chips and salsa were good, the salsa they had - not sure what it was but I liked it. The Ceviche peruano was good, lots of acid from the lime though, very strong lime juice flavor. Good amount of fish, some slices of sweet potato and corn. I used some of the chips to eat the ceviche which worked well. The lomo saltado came with rice, fries, beef with tomato and onions. The rice was fine, fries were crispy and not seasoned. The fries didn't need to be seasoned per the dish, and the sauce with it. The beef was very chewy, came with onions and three pieces of tomatoes. It tasted fine, nothing special. The fries being dipped in the sauce/gravy they had with the beef was really good. The charcoal chicken came with a salad, and fries. The salad had no dressing but they did bring sauces for us to use. Fries were unseasoned but freshly fried. Chicken was moist and flavorful. We were given 3 sauces - salsa verde, a red vinegar like one and one that tasted similar to spicy mayo. They went well with the chicken, but chicken on its own was fine. Overall, decent experience. Came here on a weekday at dinner time and we were the only two tables there. There is parking, and they do have deals like $10 for a quarter chicken, rice, tortillas, beans and a drink. There's whole chicken deals too.

Feels like I was transported to Peru :) opened 8 years ago…read more Ambiance, lovely service and of course the food. Went on Tues lunch- it was chill. DUO #1: CEVICHE + ARROZ CON MARISCOS $34 The seafood was tender and had octopus, calamari, shrimp and one mussel. Portion was large! LOMO SALTADO / Peruvian Stirfry Loin $23 The beef could be more tender. Fries and sauce were good (lacked the aji Amarillo) . Zero spice with option to add post. Good value ( I don't say that often these days) Parking available. Located in a quiet subtle strip mall. Highly recommend!

Wonderful little family-run Peruvian restaurant that's worth a visit. Ignore the posts/reviews…read moreabout "service is bad." It's not. It's a small family-run place. Honestly, I get really tired of some Yelp reviewers who act so entitled and belittle a small place like this--it does not reflect well on the Yelp community. And here's a hint, you don't go to a restaurant 45 minutes or shorter before closing time and expect a perfect experience. In fact, many restaurants now close their kitchens to orders 30 minutes before that closing time; so stop acting so freaking entitled when you go in that time window. Okay, on to this place. We LOVED it. The service was friendly and helpful. No, it's not the fastest in the world, and mistakes were made (one for us with an ingredient we're allergic to--so ALWAYS double- and triple-check), but we didn't expect it to be. It was fine. The food was wonderful. These are Peruvians, and these are their family recipes. They may be different from certain other Peruvian family recipes. So what. Deal with it. The food was great. We will be returning. Many times. Loved it!

Customer service is always great and I love their 3 tacos and rice and beans plate. I order the same thing every time and no change in quality over the last 6 years. I had a large appetite for tacos and I went alone today around 11am and was greeted with a nice smile as usual. If you order the tacos, get the steak and barbacoa. It's so good! They also serve you chips and salsa prior to your meal and what makes them different from others is that their chips are warm and the salsa has just the right spice level.

We got a couple of food vouchers from the airline and since Las Palmas uses Toasttab as their payment processor we were able to order food here. Even though we technically weren't dining inside, they let us sit and eat while we were trying to figure out what to do to rebook the flight and hotel near the airport. We ordered a Pollo al Grill and a bunch of different pupusas. Honestly I was way too stressed to really pay attention to the food, but here are some notes that I jotted down while eating: Pollo al Grill Chicken ($20.49) - Rice is good. Chicken has a nice grilled flavor and plenty of spices added, but the interior is kind of dry Pupusas ($3.89 each) - Las Palmas is generous with fillings. Every single pupusa is very tasty and cooked perfectly. Las Palmas gives a lot of sides and sauces/condiments with the order. The curtido has good acidity and there's a very savory salsa roja to pour on top of the pupusas. There's also a small container of beans, very smooth and full of lard, guac, and sour cream. I really need to revisit in the near future!

Many special dinners and celebrations were had within the walls there. When updates to the menu were made, it seems like much more than that changed and it hasn't been the same since. A few months ago we went and everything was 'off' nothing like it used to be. Service and food were both subpar. Knowing how many wonderful meals we've had there we gave them the benefit of the doubt, everyone/everywhere has bad nights. Unfortunately, we went back tonight and were shocked to find the restaurant nearly empty. We got a table in the bar so my husband could keep an eye on the basketball game. and while service was better it wasn't great, food was dropped off by someone who said not a word, literally dropped plates and walked away, and food was good but not the standout it once was, drink was also pretty awful. So sad to see such a shining star of a place in Tacoma fall so far. Seeing almost empty on a Saturday night confirmed it's not just us that has noticed such sad changes to the place.
