I would give the food at least 3 stars. To the server that got a $1 tip on Saturday evening from me: I just wanted to let you know I wasn't a Canadian or a frat student, because those people don't tip (a quote, according to you). I am pretty sure that they do tip, they just don't tip YOU. I left a dollar so that you knew I was a tipper. If I had more time, I would have waited for 3 quarters and a couple dimes in change. (That's ninety five cents.) Your arrogance, disrespect and disregard for any patrons at the bar was noted. Having to hear you flirt with your coworkers, discuss wine profits with management, and about the legalities of fellatio was completely out of place. Having to hear you and your coworkers say "If you lick it, you own it", referring to oral sex with each other multiple times, was completely vulgar and revolting. Completely inexcusable in front of anyone, especially a woman, who was eating at the bar. You turned what should have been a nice meal, into a reason to never visit Nashua again. 7:30 we waited half hour to get a drink. Three other people in the place. Food brought out 2 hours later when we cashed out. we had to ask for utensil, napkins, you name it three times. In fact when we walked up to find the waitress and said you forgot the water and where are the dumplings we ordered two hours ago we got okay as she didn't get a water but walked outside and stacked chairs. We went to this place tonight figuring it would be good since I've read other reviews saying it was.... Here's what we ordered: Pupu for two: chicken fingers were bland. No salt or flavor. Terriyaki: good - the only thing I liked Chicken wings: crispy, but no flavor Crab Rangoon: disgusting. They crunched like stale tortilla chips Egg roll: tasted like sauerkraut. I took out the filling and ate the shell General Gau's chicken: just batter, no chicken. The sauce was just watery soy sauce. I expected a thick sauce like I get at other Chinese restaurants. Chicken Lo mein: fettuccini with soy sauce and the frozen mixed veggies you buy at the store (little bits of carrots, corn, green beans and peas.) absolutely awful. I don't know about your family, but we eat a ton of sweet and sour sauce with our food and we got a little container that sub shops put salad dressing in. All of this cost me $40 and I will never eat there again. The food was gross and didn't even get that "hurry up and open those containers I'm starving!" look when I served it. I don't mind paying a lot for good food, but I do mind paying a lot for gross food. Very disappointed. Would not recommend this place to anyone. We usually eat at Lilac Blossom in Nashua as their food is always great, but we live downtown and figured we could just walk and grab dinner. Big mistake. Next time I'll drive. read more

Sebastian and crew have really done a nice job keeping this place fresh with the addition of the shabu shabu (ms?) side. Their sushi is really well done and fresh. Their entrees are very creative and each one is unique. The portions are perfect. The sesame crusted tuna is one of my personal fav's. The Shabu shabu is fun to do and it's healthy. If you've never had shabu it's basically like fondu but using a brothy soup instead of cheese. I've had this twice now and each time it's been the perfect amount of food so I don't feel so full I'm going to burst but I'm more than satisified. This is one of the better restaurants in Nashua...definitely in top 10, possibly top 5. Highly improved! read more

What can I say? I have come here every Friday night for the past few months as a little way of cooling off the work week. Ma few friends and I meet for the $4 Mai Tais. Which are a steal. These things are unreal. Followed by a few rolls of fresh sushi, it is an exceptional work week cap. There should be a 6 star just for the service here. Never lacking, always attentive and entertaining. Usually we have Bastien as our server (award winning I might add). This man takes the job above and beyond what others do. This place is over-priced and serves horrible food. My girlfriend and I live nearby and thought we should try this restaurant since it is one of the closest restaurants to us. That was a mistake. We came in for dinner and ordered two entrees: the SFK Special Noodles and Pan-Seared Chicken Breast with Coconut Curry Sauce. The noodles were smothered in a bland, creamy sauce and the chicken was over-spiced. Even the salad was bad (too much soy sauce). I couldn't even finish my plate, it wasn't worth it. Probably the worst part was the price. It was difficult to pay ~$17 a horrible dish (the noodles). The chicken was a dollar cheaper. I don't plan to ever visit this restaurant again. read more

I LOVE this place. I love everything about this restaurant down to location, the drinks, the food and the service! Honestly, the friendly staff and awesome owners give San Francisco Kitchen a must try! Atmosphere: Very trendy and nice date spot or a chill dinner for the girls. Two rooms and a nice dim lighting touch. The noise level is just right, not complete silence and not too loud! Food: YUM YUM YUM. The appetizers, the entrees, and the dessert were all nice prepared and very tasty. But the must try here is the crispy filet mignon, it is honestly (lack of better words) OFF THE HOOK! I wanted to lick the plate clean and we had to order an extra side of rice because the gravy was "out of this world". As for the drinks, it's a full bar; order as much and as extreme as you like. Last time i was here, we tried many new shots that was new to me and both the owner: Stephanie and manager: Bastian gave excellent recommendations to get the party started and created a wonderful evening for our party. I found myself here when our regular pho place was closed on a snowy day. We've been wanting to try it for a while so it proved to be the perfect opportunity. First, I don't understand the other comments about the service as our waiter was stellar--very nice, helpful with the menu and attentive. They also have a very impressive list of teas for those of us who are fans of fine tea. We had miso soup, sesame crusted tuna and the buddha dish, which was all veggies in a spicy sauce. Both of our entrees came with salad as well as sourdough bread with sesame butter. The salad was fresh and crispy and with a good, light dressing. We are huge lovers of sourdough bread, but to get bread at an asian restaurant was odd and misplaced, almost forced. Although, I must say the butter was very good. My husband loved the tuna and the sauce that came with it but wished the veggies had better treatment as they were pretty plain. The miso soup was just ok, definitely not one of the best I've had. In order for this to place to get 4 or 5 stars they need to do a better job with the San Francisco fusion concept and make the food a bit better. I'm from California and found the fusion element lacking. I would definitely go back to try other things, but won't be rushing to it. read more

We have loved this place for a long time. We have brought friends, celebrated occasions, and picked this place as our get away. Never disappointed, always great food and wonderful service, particularly from the super sweet Stephanie and ultra charming Sebastian. Our favorite meals are the sweet and sour chicken in a pineapple, and the petite filet in black pepper sauce. All appetizers are to die for, and their sushi is great. This place is always a treat. I like the glass lamps on the ceiling and the fact that they have plenty of booths. The servers are always different, but always knowledgeable and good. They also have creative drinks. I like to start my meal with a nice fruit shake, but my cohorts like their cali themed cocktails. Their apps are tempting, but they include so much with an entree I just never feel the need. The entrees come with a great salad (they even have those cute little corns!!), your choice of rice (white or fried with veggies), and sour dough bread. Their entree choices run the gammit, and aside from lobster pasta dish (still in shell and expensive) they are delectible. I recommend the Salmon Napoleon or the Tuna. My boyfriend and I went here one day on a whim for an early dinner. Right away, we really liked the atmosphere and decor in this place. I particularly loved the plants on the ledge. We ate the potstickers for an appetizer, they were very tasty. For our meals, my b/f had a sushi/sashimi combo plate, which he said was quite fresh and delicious. I had the sweet and sour chicken with pineapple plate, it was delicious. I almost couldn't finish it, though. I loved that it was served IN an ACTUAL pineapple. The veggies were fresh and delicious - lots of zuchinni and peppers in that dish. The one complaint I have is that our waitress asked if we wanted more to drink, and we said yes, assuming refills were free. Upon receiving the bill, however, we realized they were not free. I think these days it's usually safe to assume that soda, iced tea and lemonade have free refills, so we were surprised when this place didn't offer that. read more

Recently ate here for the first time and last time. The service was terrible and our waitress didn't seem very concerned with being timely (it took us thirty minutes to have our order taken, get drinks, and then get miso soup). It took another 35 minutes to get our dinner order and then 10 minutes for the check. To start, we were given old/stale sourdough bread, and butter that tasted like it had been sitting on the counter for far too long. This came with a "salad" - aka lettuce soaked in nothing but soy sauce. I got the coconut curry chicken over "crumbled potato" - AKA tots literally from the freezer. Also, I would be surprised if most of what I ate wasn't simply thawed in a microwave. Seriously - I am 98% certain I had the same, skimpy fried chicken at my high school cafeteria. Sadly, the tots were the best part of the meal. My fiancé got the Alaskan Roll and the Spicy Tuna roll, thinking that those are sushi staples that no one can get wrong. Unfortunately, the sushi was NOT fresh - it had a decidedly fishy smell and taste - the mark of old fish!! There was far too much rice, the veggies inside the roll were old as well, and the taste was beyond bland. She did not finish either roll. On the plus side, the miso soup and the blackberry sage tea were very good. The tea was brewed fresh, and they didn't skimp on the tofu for the miso. Hot pot was very disappointing. Selection and variety poor, no dipping sauces, and mediocre soups. Had to argue with the server to get both lamb and shrimp... the menu had only steak and shrimp. The lamb slices seemed to be good quality and probably would have been tasty with some sauce. I would guess that whoever designed this meal had probably never been to a 'real' hot pot restaurant. One my new favorite restaurants! We had the crusty black pepper filet, and it was melt in your mouth tender & exquisitely seasoned. The brown sauce it came in was just thick enough to be more than an jus but not close to gravy, just yummy perfection that had onions and some peppers & a side of broccoli. The thick slabs of sourdough bread, impossible to find done right in this area, were accompanied by a unique sesame butter. The app of crab Rangoon's were small, in size, but huge both in flavor & in quantity. We were speaking with the waitress about their famous lanterns, & she sampled us a serving of the apricot-coconut sauce, and it was delectable! I am a hot & sour soup snob, & this soup is some of the best I've ever had. I wish I could recall our servers name, but she was wonderful! Friendly, helpful about food questions, & ever attentive without hovering. I haven't had that level of service in awhile! We also had sushi & we will be back again. & again for sushi. Fresh, flavorful, & customizable upon request. Can't wait to try other rolls. Finished with delectable bites of green tea ice cream in a light pastry. Just enough dessert to satisfy the sweet tooth while being a light refreshing way to end our meal. Both the Chardonnay & Riesling had generous pours. Our bill for tons of food, with enough for leftovers, 3 glasses of wine, 2 desserts, & 2 apps was beyond reasonable. Strong value for high quality food & stellar service. really disappointing visit today for lunch. my friend walked in at noon and didn't see a soul, including any employees. she waited outside for the rest of us to arrive. service was dismal, i asked for one refill on my water, fished that, then the glass continued to sit there empty. i ordered the fisherman's wonton soup and two sushi rolls. i was charged for the soup and a pick 2 combo. since the combo isn't on their website, i can't confirm but im pretty sure that came with miso soup and/or salad which i didn't receive, nor was i only charged just an upcharge for the wonton. food was only ok.. sushi rice seemed gummy and my friend said the rangoon was way too sweet. read more

I'll preface this review by saying that I'm a long time customer. That being said, I've always had a good meal here. The menu is creative and inspired. The sushi bar is small compared to others, but with their expansion into the building next door, there's now a large bar for non-sushi eaters to drink and watch TV. The atmosphere is very cozy. The owners did a great job with the lighting and the furniture (all hand made) and it gives the place a very home like and comfortable feel. The staff is always pleasant and helpful.
