I don't really know where to start, other than to say that our waiter was very accommodating and responsive so that's where we will put the extra half a star. He was friendly and service was decent, so thank you to him (don't remember his name, I'm so bad with names.) Mai tai: Wasn't awful but not worth $16. Crab Rangoons: Smaller than usual Rangoons, very little flavor, cost $14. Also not worth the price. Basil beef egg rolls: OMG those were veggie spring rolls with literally so little beef and basil that I tore that sucker apart and found one minuscule piece of ground beef and zero basil. Waste of money. Sashimi lunch: One piece of salmon was 1" x 1" in size, no word of a lie. The tuna was fishy and something with a silver skin (mackerel?) was inedible because it was so fishy. Other pieces were edible. White rice was fine, helped kill the fishiness. Sesame Chicken and General Tso lunch specials: Our friend got sesame chix and it looked like a decent portion and she said it was good. Other friend got General Tso and had similar portion and ate the whole thing. Moral of the story: I don't know how they stay in business. I guess Chinese lunch specials are the way to go? This was my first time coming here and I must say it was a let down. I got the Fiesta chicken and ill add a picture but it wasn't exciting to eat. The chicken and sauce didn't have a great flavor and the menu says "atop crumbled potatoes on a plate" I didn't expect tator tots. It just was odd to see on my plate with the price being as high as it was. My friends also thought the same and agreed with my star rating. The location was smaller than thought. The big side mirror does help for it to seem bigger. And the server was nice but did forget one of our orders. And since we were the only table there it's hard to let that go. We ordered take out last night, so this review is only about the food, not the service. We ordered an array of sushi rolls and nigiri, but everything tasted very bland. And sadly, the tuna looked old and didn't taste right, so after a small bite we pushed it to the side. The other sushi/nigiri were ok, but as my dad said, "I'd rather eat grocery store sushi". I ordered the pan seared chicken, which was described as being served with a coconut curry sauce. The chicken was this weird, bland, fried sheet of meat on top of a greasy pile of sauce with absolutely no taste. And there were some sort of tater tots in the sauce too- like actual frozen tater tots tossed in. The price was pretty painful- this was the cheapest item on the dinner menu at $23. My brother got the Lo Mein, and same problem- it was sooo bland. We got teriyaki skewers for the kids, and they actually tasted more like the wilted lettuce they were sitting on, and slightly bitter. I don't usually write negative reviews, but when everything across the board was terrible and sooooo expensive (again, $23+ for what is essentially terrible Americanized Asian food), I had to write something. The one star is for service; service was very good! The bar tender was serving lunch not just at the bar and he did a great job. My order for the Szechuan chicken lunch special was a huge portion but it didn't look right. Some chicken pieces looked fried much darker than others. Almost like I got last nights left overs refried and tossed in with a fresher (but necessarily fresh batch) It tasted the way it sounds. I could barely eat three bites and just the klaxons we're going off that this may not turn out right. When the clock struck 10, our waitress put her coat on and stared at us as we attempted to finish our last few bites of nigiri and last few sips of drink When the chairs were put on all the tables around us, we hurriedly left. It's just alright. My friend told me about this restaurant and kind of hyped me up when she stated that the menu is inspired by Asian food in San Francisco. I was ecstatic to maybe see what kind of influences they brought out the streets of shhh(Trashua), but alas... it's just your typical Americanized Chinese and Japanese food. I was hoping there would be some dim sum or some Chicken Rice... but nope. The sushi was pretty solid though... and the rice wasn't too bad. If I could give zero stars I would. There are plenty of places in Nashua that are great restaurants. This is not one of them. The food is subpar the service is horrible and is one restaurant that you definitely should avoid. We went to the restaurant with two other couples. When we placed our orders, The first couple got there order then about 10 minutes later the second couple got their order, then my wife and I got our meals about half an hour later. Only after numerous times asking where our food was. They apparently lost the order or just plain forgot! My wife had the fiesta chicken which was roughly $30 for chicken and tater tots. It was described it as grilled chicken on top of crinkled potatoes and asparagus. When it came we were shocked to see that the potatoes were frozen tater tots! Also the asparagus must have been cooked for about 15 seconds. You could barely cut them. It was obvious they forgot about the meal and did it at the last few minutes. A meal should never be tater tots at a nice restaurant!! Also it was supposed to come with rice which never showed up until we asked for it. Mine was no better and definitely overpriced. Since they threw the plate together at the last minute they never drained the noodles the plate was watery and not a lot of it. If they are trying to go out of business they are definitely succeeding on that path!! read more

Okay so we arrived in Downtown Nashua around 10PM on a Saturday night and most of the restaurants along Main Street stopped serving food. I made a suggestion that we should try San Francisco Kitchen (SFK) since I heard great things. We walked in and we were seated immediately near the bar area. The atmosphere in the restaurant is nice with comfortable booths and tables. Our bubbly waitress came over and took our drink orders, Rum & Cokes. We looked over the menu which offers appetizers, soups, salads, rice, sushi bar items, Chinese dishes, and very creative Asian Fusion dishes. On weekdays, a Lunch Buffet is offered 11:30AM-2:30PM and Lunch Specials served daily from 11:30AM-2:30PM. Next, we ordered our food: STARTERS: Pork Egg Rolls (2) were light and crispy and served with duck sauce. The Fisherman's Pier Wonton Soup (wontons stuffed with shrimp, salmon, & scallops in a hearty broth) was very good. The SFK Salad was great, which had romaine lettuce, tomato, carrot, baby corn, water chestnut, rice noodles, and ginger soy dressing. The Sushi Regular (8 pc Nigini sushi with Tuna Roll) was fresh and pretty good. DINNER: The SFK Special Noodles (fettuccine tossed with seafood, snow peas, & tomatoes in a heavy cream sauce, surrounded by sliced cucumber & tomato, which was very good and more like an American dish. The Orange Beef was served hot and tender with tangy flavors. DESSERT: We shared the Bananas a la Bay Area which was Bananas sauteed in Meyers Dark Rum, Crme De Cacao and served in a Brandy Snifter with Vanilla Ice Cream and Whipped Cream laced with Banana Liquor. This dessert was sooo good (I could taste the rum)and a refreshing sweet dessert which went well with hot coffees. Overall, we had a very nice meal with decent service. However, while we were eating, we had to listen to this guy at the next table by himself, talking loudly on his mobile on a break up call with his now ex-GF and giving her the riot act. Dude, this is not the right place to do it and you sounded like a total idiot! Okay, I'll admit I've been guilty of talking on my mobile during a nice dinner, but I'll no longer use my mobile in nice restaurants, the right thing to do. Most of the drinks here are very good . We come weekly for tipsy bingo in the bar . So this past Monday I ordered an appetizer platter ( which is similar to a pu pu platter ) . They charged $1.50 for the hot mustard for about a few tablespoons of it on each of our bills .They said sweet and sour and hot mustard doesn't come with it . Every Chinese restaurant I have ever been to gives you sweet and sour sauce and hot mustard with your Chinese food and usually they give you a nice size dish of both . It looks like we will have to check out some other places for our weekly activities. What a way to drop off some of their business :( read more

Worst service ever. Our food was brought to us before plates and silverware so we sat there for 10 minutes while it got cold. And it was not what we ordered! My drink was served half way through the meal, no water offered to us at all. My husbands drink did not come till the end of the meal, and it was a substitute as they did not have what he originally ordered. Our drinks were flat and seemed watered down. LOVE this place! The Asian-fusion menu is light, yet very diverse and appetizing. The sushi is to die for, and the atmosphere both in the bar and in the restaurant proper is warm, friendly and welcoming. They have recently added to their repertoire, and now serve Shabu Shabu as well as the usual menu! It's fun as well as super-healthy and highly tasty. You'll undoubtedly be greeted with a smile, no matter who you meet when you first walk in! Stephanie and William are gracious hosts and always present to make sure your having a great meal and a good time. They are very willing to seat large parties, and will take reservations. I've even known them to rent the entire restaurant out for very special occasions! I've been eating here for years, and have got my family and many friends hooked as well. The mai tais were not good. We had to ask for more juice and although it was better, it was still bad. The egg foo young was ok. Not the best and not the worst. Now onto the pork fried rice..... I am baffled as to how dry and tasteless the dish was. The pork was so dry that it was barely edible, the rice was so dry that you could barely choke it down. After hearing all but good reviews about San Francisco Kitchen, I finally made my first visit there. I will admit that the overall appearance of the restaurant is fantastic. They have trendy decorations and everything is extremely clean. The waitstaff was extremely helpful and nice. They answered all questions without hesitation. The only compliant that I do have is that the food was extremely mediocre. I got sweet and sour chicken with vegetable fried rice. The overall appearance of the food was fantastic. They had a hollowed out pineapple with the chicken and sauce inside of it. You would think that it would have been flavorful seeing as that it was in a pineapple , but it was not at all. I guess I was just expecting an explosion of flavor for a place that has received outstanding reviews. The drinks on the other hand were fantastic. They were strong and flavorful. She answered all of our questions and brought my sister her drink and the dessert at the end. I ordered the pineapple chicken, and it was AMAZING. The chicken actually comes in a pineapple. Love the atmosphere, so unique, very much my style. Not too bright in here, so if you don't like fairly dark places you might not like this place. It's been a while since I visited, so I really should swing by some night this summer. I love sitting at the outdoor tables for drinks and finger/chopstick food. The appetizers are gorgeous: shitake mushrooms lined in rows on kabob sticks and sushi rolls on a plate decorated with pickled ginger and wasabi. The colors are earthy and pink and taste great when you roll it all around in your mouth. This is a great place to spend time with people you care for. I have been here with most of my close friends, and in unanimous agreement the ambience is lovely. They've got these napkin holders that are wrapped in amber-colored beads which match the sconces on the walls. The surroundings are elegant. The tables and chairs are intimately placed. This is a promising start to any night in downtown Nashua. The wait staff is friendly and fun, so the atmosphere is open and welcoming. I remember having a conversation with one of the waiters who had just come back from an African safari. He told us a story about the introduction of the iPhone to the gorilla. He then made an analogy to the obelisk scene in Kubrick's Space Odyssey: 2001. Small talk is meant to be dissolved into the background, but the banter stays in my mind above almost everything else.
