The only close by HD is in San Jose. I refuse to go to Oakland ( hinkey location ). I was greeted by some pretty nice people , easy access, plenty of parking, right off 280hwy , pleasant drive. She was willing to make an exchange for the correct size, but they were out. She went on her computer to check for the next inventory and took down my number so when they get them in, she'll give us a call. So I have been ordering parts from here since back in September of last year. Under previous ownership I had parts that seemed to never arrive. I was unaware of the reputation of the place at the time. I had decided after my experience that I would only use them for quick off the shelf service stuff since they were the closest. They changed ownership and today I stopped In quickly while at work to pick up a couple gaskets and check in on some outstanding orders. I met one of the new owners Mike. He did a little research and I won't air out his dirty laundry but he made it right (at his cost) apologized for something that wasn't his doing and promised it will never happen again under his leadership. The guy never mentioned it was a sale and final! We came back to explain it was not working for his motorcycle and he was rude and said all sales are final and that it should fit. If I could put 10 stars I would! Bought my breakout from LaMar and am super happy! I submitted my inquiry online and got a call from LaMar shortly after to set the appt. When I got there I was a bit intimidated with all the options but Lamar was easy going and helped me find the right one. No pressure, no sales, nothing but giving me good information and helping me decide on the right Harley. The breakout caught my eye and the sound caught my heart. He grabbed the keys and started it up and it was like listening to angels sing as I revved it, I was in love. If they got rid of the outrageous markups on bikes then maybe this would be a good dealership. The new owners are smokin' something if they think a $3900 dealer markup on a 2024 Lowrider ST is even remotely ok. A 2024 should be discounted because the '25 models were just announced. I guess they gotta make their money back from buying a failing business. The only amount someone should pay is MSRP + freight + taxes and a doc fee. Setup fees are reimbursed by Harley. I'd rather go down to LA and buy a bike with no markup and have a nice ride back to the bay area than pay what San Jose Harley is asking. read more

Terrible finance department, I bought a bike from them over a year ago, but a maintenance oil change package and tire and wheel paid the bike off due trading it in at another dealer to upgrade my bike, tried to cancel my maintenance package. They continued to take the money out of my account after sending an email to finance to cancel the maintenance package. I had to put a stop payment at my bank to prevent them from taking the money out, I continue to try to contact Brandon in the finance department to try to get a refund for the maintenance package that I paid for still have yet to get a response or get any of my money back I would never buy a motorcycle from them again. Update November 2022 I replaced my Harley's Lead Acid battery to the newer Lithium-Ion in 2021. They told me at the time that this is a better battery and will last longer with more cranking power. This was a $300 battery plus the install labor. I even bought an electronic charger to keep the battery always charged. A year+ later I came back from a trip and found that the battery was completely dead. My old lead acid batteries used to last at least 4+ years. Anyway, I had the bike towed back to San Jose Harley using Harley roadside which was a disaster in itself and a story for another day. The service department (with new service reps again of course) told me that the battery is not covered under warranty. And that I have to buy a new one. Even though they seem to have known that the Harley lithium-ion batteries were defective. They even recommended that I go back to the old lead acid / AGM batteries which I did. They did give me a small discount on the new AGM battery and waived the 30-minute install labor. But it really blows that a $300 battery did not last more than a year and a half. The bottom line with this particular case and years of issues with the quality of service at San Jose Harley is that I never truly feel secure that the bike will work 100% of time when I take it out on a ride. Especially with my wife as my passenger. read more

Let me start off by saying I met everyone while shopping for a motorcycle here. not paid for or even talked to the business about this post....... Okay here's the deal. Mention to the management how amazing Malcolm S. is as a sales/marketing person for good karma because if there's anything I know it's that this Malcolm S. guy is the best sales person/ relationship management person / person person I have ever met. Imagine a land before time and there's that one T-Rex running the jungle of motorcycles. Ya, that's right you guessed it, that's San Jose Harley. They are pretty new which is why you don't see many reviews. There are people who always go to these things and get upset because, well, lets face it we're in the bay area. this place is 10/10 on so many levels. All my bike purchases are from here for a reason. Because it comes from knowledgeable people who work hard for the sale, and the continued customer-ship. They don't just do their job. they go that extra mile to make you a better more BA rider. They have a great selection of used and new bikes on show, mechanics are fantastic, and there's actually a large selection of parts and apparel at this location. Warning!!!!!! Do not purchase a prepaid maintenance plan from this ownership group. Same people owned San Francisco Harley. I bought a brand new 2023 CVO Road Glide Limited in December of 2023 from Miranda (who is now at San Jose Harley) at San Francisco Harley. I added a pre-paid maintenance plan that was good at any Harley dealer in the USA. The cost was $2,000.00 and was documented on the bill of sale as well as the CA DMV Vehicle Sale Document. Fast forward 8 months. I went to Red Rock Harley in Las Vegas for my 5K service, gave them my maintenance plan name and plan number and assumed all would be taken care of. Turns out that San Francisco Harley took $2,000.00 from me but never paid the 3rd party company that administers the USA wide plan. I spoke with the 3rd party plan administrators and they confirmed that San Francisco Harley never paid them the $2,000.00 for me to be covered AND I was not the only person with these types of problems with San Francisco Harley. After 6 months of back and forth with San Jose Harley (Same Ownership) and their finance team they have gone radio silent. So they basically stole $2,000.00 from me. Beware of any extended service plans this dealership may offer. They defrauded me out of $2,000.00!!!!!! read more

Bought a used bike the first week of September. Just received registration this week(11 weeks later). When I asked about the title to the bike I was given no time frame about when I would receive it. Turns out they sold me a bike that they didn't even have the title for. I've called plenty times and I'm always given the same run around. The bike was also sold to me with bald tires. When I brought this up during the sale I was told they were in spec, even though the tires were clearly on the wear bar. Stay clear, much better dealers around. Malcolm Singh is an Advanced Service Technician at this awesome dealership. Over the last 3 years, he has seen me on my journey and helped me with education on the bike world and the technical part of upgrades and maintaining my beautiful lady. This most recent learning I was blessed with came as the ultimate in safety. About 6 months ago I got some new 12 inch aps put on my bike. Turns out the place that put them on did not put them on right. My throttle was sticking and I had no idea of that issue. While getting my final pre-maintenance service Malcolm came across this issue and as a fellow Vet, Biker, and friend he did not let me leave until this was shown to me and fixed. Turns out the place that put my bars on did not do the proper procedures to install them correctly. Malcolm showed me there was pink grease used on an area that isn't supposed to have grease on it, so that tells me they knew it was sticking and they used that pink grease to try to make it not stick. They were supposed to file down an area on the throttle side of the new bars so there would be no sticking. They didn't do any of that, Malcolm fixed it and made sure it would not be an issue for me. You don't come across people like Malcolm so when you do you better make sure you keep them in your circle, I appreciate all I've learned from him and I've blessed others with what he has taught me.
