This is a wonderful place. Personally, I come here for their fantastic mojitos and fresh seafood. Today I tried the green curry snapper for the first time and was blown away. Not sure how I have not rated this gem before! Simply put, my favorite breakfast in the east metro region. Love the mojitos so much (Bartenders are regular, helpful and outstanding) and I have not had food that I wasn't raving about afterwards. The hash bowl is a coveted secret (they may run out if you aren't lucky, and early). The breakfast quesadillas and huevos rancheros are fire! Big portions may scare you away for burritos and breakfast pizza, but go for it! read more

When you are going somewhere for a special occasion and you hope the service won't be awful, go to San Pedro and ask for Melissa. Bad service ruins the entire experience, at least it does for me. She was the best server I have had in years, and my husband agreed. Suggested cocktails, appetizer, and entrees. All were excellent! The lobster and shrimp dip was perfection. The Linguine Del Mar was outstanding. Scallops, large shrimp, perfectly done pasta. My husband's ribs were also grilled to perfection. You must also try the Mango Margarita. Excellent flavor! Thank you Melissa for my wonderful birthday dinner. You are the best! Can't wait to go back. Many things we want to try including one of their desserts. It can get chilly inside and busy on certain nights. Everything is so good I can't decide whether the service, food or atmosphere is better. Three way tie! This has been a favorite of mine, and I was looking forward to introducing my friends to the restaurant and we ended up having a disappointing experience. First they told us an hour wait and it was 10 minutes: which is great but we had gone to another restaurant for a drink and a appetizer which we had pay for and quickly drink, luckily they were able to cancel the app. Then our drinks were super sweet and had no flavor. Our scallop app was borderline humorous as it came out with 3 of the tiniest bay scallops ever. I won't go on with more details on the meal but we brought our concerns to the manager who said, ok what do you want me to take off your bill or if we wanted another round of drinks" which was odd and unprofessional in my opinion. We said that we were letting him know as a courtesy. The food/drinks/service/presentation was all just not good. Hopefully it was just a fluke. read more

Love this little gem in Hudson. Food and drink menus offer a great variety so even picky eaters have lots to choose from. Staff from the beginning were very friendly and welcoming, and attentive throughout the visit. They keep it nice and clean and the atmosphere is nice and laid back as well, love their salt water tank at the bar! I'm not a Mexican food fan typically so I ordered their chicken Ceasars salad for lunch on a week day... Seriously the best salad I've had in a long time. Worth the money. Great, fresh flavors. We just visited again and were somewhat disappointed; the wait list said 2 hours but in fact when we showed up after 2 hrs with no update, we were told that there were at least 9 more parties ahead of us and the wait would be another 1-2 hours.(This was 7PM) Then, I ordered the ginger stir fry and found 3 tiny broccoli specks, 1 sliver of mushroom, and a sweet dish that looked completely different from the past. Finally, the special fish was super good but that tiny curd of pasta was so salty that it was impossible to eat. Despite our negative tasting food, the spicy jalapeno margarita was a hit, as always so we will give them another chance to improve. Perhaps it was all due to Covid hanging in the air. read more

My go-to is the nachos, I'm in love with the red snapper bowl (add the green curry - it's spicy and delicious!) and their tres leches cake is my birthday dessert of choice every summer. I was really close to giving this place 5 stars because everything was really delightful, from the understated and very appealing front door to the lovely little terraced patio with lots of growing things and a selfie spot! But it's pretty hard to get 5 stars out of me . . . Nice menu, lots of choices, most of which is or can be ordered gluten free. Good service, the ladies room is a bit snug but fits the ambiance perfectly. The patio chairs could be a bit more comfy. We had the lobster and shrimp Rasta dip, which was nice but a bit bland. Then we split the Caribbean spiced red grouper, which came with a house salad, red beans, rice, and wood roasted vegetables. The grouper was done well, not very spicy at all so don't be afraid if you are spice-challenged. The red beans were actually delicious and the veggies were good - in fact, I never thought roasted carrots could be so tasty. I highly recommend this charming little spot next time you are in Hudson. Convenient walk down to the pier. Also, they have a little wine & tapas joint located behind the cafe. Looked/sounded fun! read more

I was surprised - I've had jerk chicken in many places, including the Caribbean, and it's NEVER this spicy. Not sure why they make it this way. This is not my worst experience at a restaurant. I forgot the waitress's name, but she was kind. I've gotten the scallop and corn appetizer - I forgot the actual names of the food items. It's was okay, but it could've been better. I don't know if they use canned corn, to me that's what it tasted like and the scallops itself were salty. With our entree's we've gotten their house salad, but we didn't eat it because flies were around our table. I've gotten the scallop entree, it didn't surprise me. It was a simple dish with a BIG plate, and flavors weren't there. I felt as the plate was too big for the entree itself. I ate a few bites and called it quits because flies were flying; which is bad! I didn't take my food home, I left it there. Although, this experience is not what I'm use to. It's probably a place that I wouldn't go to again. Stopped in for a couple of drinks and dinner with a close friend. Enjoyed a couple dirty martinis - perfectly prepared and chilled! The dinner was fantastic. My other half enjoyed the wood roasted chicken wrap that is tossed with mango, red onion, celery & apricot chutney mayo, rolled with field greens for 10.95 - very tasty and a great value. I had the Jerk spiced chicken simmered in a spicy red chile cream sauce with penne pasta and garnished with asiago cheese (a bit too much cheese) and wood roasted vegetables for 13.95 also a great value. Though served in a smallish bowl, a bit difficult to navigate, so our very sweet and helpful waitress eagerly offered a plate - making my experience much nicer and easier to enjoy my pasta. WOW! I've been to San Pedro a few times so I know its excellent, i've never had a bad meal. Their mango chicken salad wrap is great for a lighter meal and their enchiladas are great for a heavier meal. However, the best dish i've ever had is their red snapper in a green curry broth. It completely blew me away. The snapper is breaded and submerged in a bowl of grilled vegetables, rice, and sweet curry broth. Its the kind of dish you dream about. Theres a similar version of the dish in a coconut mango broth, which i'm planning on trying someday. read more

The vibe inside is a little busy and full of energy. It is a menu filled with spice and fish and mostly Caribbean inspired dishes. I am not a fan of spice so I had a Cesar salad with chicken added and the chicken was really deliciously prepared. I believe wood fired. My side of beans and rice were decent. I love this place! Went there for the first time the other night and requested a table out on the patio. They said it would take 10 minutes and it ended up taking much longer (we were the only ones waiting for a table out there but people just weren't leaving). The staff kept apologizing even though it was beyond their control, and eventually gave us free chips and salsa! We were happy sitting at the bar sipping drinks while we waited. And it was SO worth the wait. The outdoor patio was cozy, intimate, and beautifully lit. It is actually two levels and it has beautiful lighting and plants, flowers, and trees all around. Barely noticed the other diners. Food was tremendous too. I tried almost all the dishes at our table and they were amazing. San Pedro makes me swoon. Literally. From the moment you walk in the door, you get the laid back Caribbean vibe from the decor, exotic fish tank and open kitchen. The food is fantastic - go for the shrimp cerviche, street tacos or any of their salads. Follow it up with the Chocolate Habanero Cake, that little bit of pepper gives it a bite. The only thing that could make it better would be if it were actually on the river, but the Caribbean charm pretty much makes up for that. read more
