Atmosphere - this is a simple pizzeria located in a strip mall. There is a combination of booths and tables. It is the very definition of basic Service - when dining in, orders are taken at the counter and brought to your table. Food - the menu is a bit limited. There are ample pizza options, only a few entrees and 3 salad selections. We split a large pepperoni and onions and each ordered a fountain soda. The pizza is NYC style (thin crust) and it is as close to NYC pizza as you are likely to find in the area. The cheese and toppings were excellent and the pizza was served hot. In the way of a tip, the soda fountain is behind the counter. The soda came in a 12 oz glass (if that large) and had ample ice in it. I failed to ask if refills are permitted. If not, it would be best to order a bottle of soda that is kept in a cooler. read more

I don't know if this place used to be good and they just lost their way. She say this is true New York Pizza is a far cry from the truth. The slice is way too thin, and the mozzarella tastes cheap. I ordered a baked ziti, and it was the worst I've had in years. Absolutely pathetic. The sauce was watery and did not stick to the noodles at all. The cheese was garbage. There was zero effort put into this meal and I resent wasting my money on it. This establishment needs to recalibrate and refocus. Put effort into your food and use quality ingredients. This is not a cheap chain food venue, this is a long time family owned small business, with pride on their products, most prepared to order (this is not a fast food joint, but have slices ready to go normally), premium quality products used for the food preparation. I have been their customer for more than 7 years, and will be for more to come. I'm giving this wonderful pizzeria 5 stars because of the food itself. The pizzas are always delicious, made to order (if you call ahead) and its always fresh. I love coming in for a slice when I need a pick me up, but I don't want to eat something too heavy. However, if I were to rate solely on my experience yesterday, I would give it three stars. Again, the food was just as delicious and the cooks are super sweet. I feel as though the main woman who takes orders is very rude and disrespectful to the customers. Let me explain: I came in and ordered my food and ate, but I received a text and my mother wanted a slice as well because we're so obsessed with the pizza. So, I went up and paid for my stuff plus what my mom wanted, but the woman said that I should've ordered before when I ordered my food initially because now it'll take more time. She looks annoyed at that fact that I ordered "backwards", but it wasn't even something I wanted to do on purpose. Also, as I was there, this man wanted to help this elderly man to get a soda. The man ordered for the elder, but she seemed to have a problem with that too. This is a family owned business and I can taste and see that they pour their heart out in everything they do, but the food doesn't taste all too good when you have someone with an attitude every-time you walk in. I think she needs to taste how good the pizza is and then she'll feel happier. So, please, come here and enjoy all the goodness they have to offer. Good pizza. The 2 slice and a drink deal is good for lunch. Guy serving us was really nice and only warmed my sons pizza so it wouldn't be too hot for him. Annoyed the woman didn't accept a coupon I had even though it had not expired yet. Said it was because the previous owner signed up for it. Previous owner sold in July, this fundraiser coupon card was purchased in late August to support a local school. New owner should still honor it and have been factored in the sale even though it was something the previous owner signed up with. Esp since it would have been less than $1 on my bill. read more

It's a really good pie! The workers are busy at they're craft and they don't have time to be personable. I get it so why don't others... let them serve pizza! New owners I found out, my wife feels they may have switched brands on ingredients because it doesn't taste like the original. I really can't say, I did notice a slightly different bite but still a good pie. This place is fairly close to what you can expect from Jersey shore pizza. Read the negative and positive reviews so we figured make our own decision. It's an older interior with booths and table, fairly simple. We ordered a large pizza with split (2) toppings. They have a small fountain dispenser for Coke products and a reach in with some beer and wine and prices teas. They also had a 2 tap draft dispenser. The pizza took a while but was served fresh and hot. Crust was done well and plenty of toppings. I know people complained about canned mushrooms but very few places have the time or expense in buying and storing fresh mushrooms for toppings. One issue I had was the the pizza was kind of dry and could have used more sauce. Next time I will request extra sauce on our pie. Service was friendly and attentive and the price was reasonable. They do serve full meals and sandwiches but we opted just for a pizza night! read more

Food was decent, however the service not good. Lady up front was not welcoming at all! Very standoffish and made you feel like you were bothering her when asking questions. They advertise pizza by the slice but no cheese pizza by the slice available. I saw another couple behind me walk in who wanted also cheese pizza by the slice, and she told them there wasn't any, instead of making a fresh pie and telling us it will be ready in 15 min. So with my self and customers behind me who walked out the store lost at least $25 and who knows how much more all day. Yikes! Anyway best of luck don't think I will Be back. read more

One of my favorite pizza shops in the Apollo Beach area. If you order the Sicilian give them an hour or so to get it cooked, all other pizzas are normal time. Usually the seats are mostly empty inside as everyone gets carry out or delivery. They've been around a very long time and their pizza's are a good price for good food. I'll return. read more

I hate to give local shops/restaurants a bad review, but this will be my first and last time trying San Remo's. When I got to the counter I told the cashier that I was here for a to go order and gave her my order number, the chef then yells aggressively at me and shouts "did you order ___", I say no and then he rudely says "next time remember your order number" so I said again "my order number is ___" and eventually got my food. I would still have gone back if the food was good however.. this was the worst pizza i've ever had. My partner tried it and compared it to baked cardboard with cheese. I'll have to keep looking for other local pizza places in Apollo Beach. read more
