Tried this place. As we entered thru the alley there appeared to be outside seating but everything outside was not lighted, and no one was sitting outside. Upon entering all tables and the bar seating was full. We were told it would be a 20 minute wait. While we waited, three other parties were seated outside. Upon approaching the waitress to ask her why others were being seated while we waited she initially apologized that we hadn't been offered the outdoor seating. And then truly ruined all hope of customer service when she told me that we saw the seating outside when we entered the establishment. Lost our sale. And we won't return. We found this by accident and fell in love. The bartenders all make a great cocktail. Taylor is legit and absolutely on it. Best bartender ever. Kayla is awesome too! We are charcuterie board whores and they won our heart. The Brie, blue cheese, and Manchego were amazing. I don't care if you are lactose intolerant. Suck it up and live a little. You will love it as this place does it well above right. And if you use the restroom, use the one on the right, look up and enjoy view. Vintage, classy, and again, done right. Going to a bar during a pandemic can be stressful. But when you're grabbing drinks after a small secluded wedding in the woods is a necessity. So we meandered down to San Simón. They flow and process of getting in and seated was so smoothe. The ambiance was PERFECT! Dim lighting, an A++ playlist, great staff, and the drinks were more than amazing. Their house Rum+tonic is my new favorite drink. On the way out, we realized they have an outdoor movie screen set up in the alley with a very cute Lady and the Tramp setup that would swoon your date. I might just drive all the way up from my home in Sacramento just for this date spot. If you have the opportunity, don't pass this place up! read more

Checked out this place on a Tuesday night. There was a movie being shown in the alley with a packed audience. We sat inside and had a couple of the specialty drinks which were outstanding. I cannot believe this place has so few reviews & that we didn't find it sooner! We have been coming to Bend on vacation for 5+ years, and on this trip San Simón has quickly become the most amazing cocktail bar/place of alcoholic consumption we have found yet. We happened to be told by another local bar to check this place out for drinks when the first few spots we tried were closed, and wow, did it not disappoint. Coming from living/working in Southern California, it's not hard for us to find great cocktails. What was truly special was the staff. We arrived around 10pm on a Wednesday and the staff were so friendly, welcoming, and efficient. To be honest, I've also never had the pleasure of feeling so at home walking in to a place where all of the bar staff were also female. It made me think for a long, hard minute about why bars/alcohol environments don't feel more hospitable & welcoming to me as a woman. I left feeling thankful as fuck to have found this place, and cannot wait to give them all of our money when we return on vacation twice a year in the future!!! read more

This place is simply awesome. Just come here, now, and get a drink, preferably a cocktail. Of course they have an excellent, although admittedly, somewhat small selection of craft beers and wines. But their wheelhouse is craft and signature cocktails. Their selection of liquor and liqueurs is outstanding. I haven't personally had their charcuterie board, but I've seen them and they look fantastic! Now for the best part, see if you can get a hold of Brian. He's the owner and head bartender. If you manage to grab him for a minute, you'll leave feeling like you've got a new friend who's known you for ages, as well as a confidant, counselor, advisor, story teller, local hook up, not to mention absolutely amazing bartender. This is a hip bar with craft cocktails and customized Charcuterie tray. The wait staff were friendly and the ambiance very classy. However, when you go into the restroom the ceilings are covered in pornography. Not just naked people but hard core pornography all over the ceiling. Hold everything! Stop the presses! I haven't left a review in a while because honestly it's been a while since I've been inspired to, however the time has come to express my deepest most sincere appreciation for what happened last night at San Simon downtown Bend. My wife and I we're meeting some close friends for a drink and light food at this place that Kip said was a newer location with killer everything so we gladly agreed to join in. Upon our arrival after walking carefully down the icy alley we saw the sign and went in and to our surprise the place was hopping! Full a fun seekers at the coolest locals place in town, so we joined in and grabbed a drink and began yelling over the crowd it was great! Eventually our table was ready at the back so we gladly sat down and began to explore the menu. Exactly what you would expect for the kind of place it is, great snacks, cheeses. meats, sliders. We ordered a variety and the drinks continued to come! Our waitress was absolutely an angel and very intune with the vibe, and managed to know what we wanted even though we didn't. The highlight for me was the beef sliders! OMG! The beef sliders! Listen to me now and you will be glad you did! Order the beef sliders and you will experience the most incredibly delicious thing I've had In a while! I highly recommend SanSimon for bringing a new thing to Bend I'm sure a huge success in town. What can I say? Let me begin with the basics. Great liquor selection? Check. Great vibe? Check. Happy hour wine is AMAZING and only $6! We tried the Korean beef sliders, so very good. We also had little calzones (I don't remember what they called them). Also, very good. We were very impressed with their version of a side salad. Very fresh butter lettuce with a extremely good vinegary dressing. I could have eaten a bowlful. Seriously, I would go back just for that plain salad of lettuce and dressing. We were a small group and particularly enjoyed Brian's recommended assortment of cheeses, sausages, pate, olives, etc. - accompanied, of course, with an array of wines, beers and mocktails.
