For a quick weekday meal (somewhere between lunch and dinner), I returned to Woojeon. This time, I ordered the Soondaeguk (blood sausage stew, $15.99), received my number, waited 5 minutes, and receiving order. The stew itself was quite packed with offal and blood sausage, and even a few pieces of lung. It also arrived piping hot. The broth, however, proved underwhelming. While spicy, it lacked depth of flavor. The entree came with a bowl of rice, bean sprouts, kimchi, and roasted seaweed laver. I surprisingly liked the kimchi. It was savory and not too tangy. Consider it's a food court, I won't penalize the presentation or diminutive banchan size too much. However, the stock needs work. read more

Enjoyed the stone bowl bibimbap here, keeps the food nice and hot and yields crispy rice! It was a bit light on the beef, but good portions of veg. Banchan is broth, kimchi, bean sprouts and roasted seaweed - the kimchi was pretty good, wished the bean sprouts had more flavor. I came around 4:30pm so there were plenty of tables available. Following a recommendation from a fellow Yelp Elite, I ordered food from the last vendor in the H Mart Burlington food court. Woojeon Korean Cuisine is the stall furthest away from the entrance of the food court. Their menu consists of various soups, bibimbap, and pancakes. I ordered number 9 which is the bulgogi with vermicelli noodle to go for $17.95. Each order comes with free roasted seaweed. I placed my order at 6:00pm on a Monday evening and was given a pager to indicate when food is ready. In 25 minutes, the pager went off. When I got home, I unpacked all the packages. One container was the soup with rice cakes, mushrooms, bean sprouts, another container for the vermicelli noodle, and another container for the rice from rice cooker. A package of roasted seaweed and a side of kimchi was also in the bag. The soup was still very hot when I arrived home about an hour later. I put everything together in a bowl. The meal was delicious, broth was really flavorful, and I enjoyed all the components. It was a good portion too, I had it for 2 meals. The staff member that I put in my order with and handed me my food had a very serious face and did not smile at all. I've been here a couple times in the past decade, and I think this is probably my favorite stall in the hmart food court. Last time we got galbitang and soulongtang and both were actually good! They don't give you a ton of kimchi or side dishes but they do provide packaged seaweed which is a nice touch. Also give you a ton of rice that is way too much, but good for if you're starving I guess. read more

Every time I come to Hmart, I inevitably end up ordering from Woojeon. My friend and I usually split an entree (we ordered 13 on our last visit) and a kimchi pancake. The food is always delicious and fresh with ample helpings along with two varieties of kimchi, some broth, rice, and toasted seaweed. Service is fast and efficient, even on busy weekends. I did not have any high expectations regarding their food here but boy was I wrong. $20 for the Galbi short ribs and $15 for the spicy chicken. Each meal comes with a huge portion of rice, kimchi, bean sprouts, soup in a cup ( assuming it's their pork bone broth which was amazing), and a packet of dried seaweed paper. The galbi short ribs was pretty good coming from a food court environment. Portion was enough for two people and the flavor was definitely there. 4/5 The spicy chicken was decent. Meat to veggie ratio was 1:2. The spicy and quality of the chicken was good. Wish there wasn't so many cabbage and more chicken. Service was excellent, too. Assuming he's the owner, he was super friendly when I was ordering. Very helpful when I needed something. Accommodated me when I asked for sesame oil with salt and pepper. He went into the kitchen and got me some haha. HUGE TIP : sesame oil with salt and pepper is a must when eating Korean food! Dip your type of meat of choice in the sesame oil and it gives you another element of flavor! Overall, I definitely recommend trying this place. Came for late lunch. Very difficult to find a seat. This is a good court arrangement inside hmart where you pay before you get the food and find an empty table. It can be frustrating if you come at a busy time. This place is usually crowded and ambiance of a lot of people talking. Parking is usually packed outside of hmart also. This spot is at the end of the food court. Find a seat before ordering. I got the stone bowl bimbim bap. Comes with a cup of soup, pack of roasted seaweed, spicy sauce, and 2 other banchan sides. It is pretty good for what it is. Leave the rice at the bottom a little longer for crispy rice, which works well with the spicy sauce and residual topping. I recommend. read more

I ordered soft tofu stew with beef and seafood which was just over $13 to go. Unfortunately I wasn't able to eat it right away since I had an appointment right after so the temperature wasn't as hot by that point. Seeing the portions of other dishes while waiting I was a little disappointed to find a partially filled container when I get home. In terms of content, there were 3 shrimps, about 5 slices of beefs and a clam shell without the actual clam. Taste wise it was pretty bland, not anything spectacular. The order was served with a large side of rice and what looked like kimichi but was instead regular cabbage with the kimichi seasoning instead. Overall, I definitely need to try other items from their menu and dine in as so many of the other dishes looked significantly better than mine. I came with my boyfriend on a weekend afternoon for a quick lunch before grocery shopping. I was surprised by how packed the dining area was! We ordered the Okdol Bibimbap which came with sides of kimchi, bean sprouts, and dried seaweed. The bibimbap tasted very fresh, though I did notice that there wasn't a lot of beef. So delicious and some of the best Korean food I've ever had!! We ordered the Sujebi and the cold noodles, and both were fantastic. The Sujebi had gorgeously chewy noodles (my favorite part!) with a savory clam filled broth. The veggies in it added a pop of freshness and after a quick mix to incorporate the vegetables, we quickly devoured the Sujebi with thorough satisfaction. A lot of restaurants often skimp on materials that cost more money, but unlike those places, the broth here was filled with clams. The cold noodles were equally as delicious. This place is actually a mix of Korean, Thai, and Chinese food. We had the "Crazy Noodles" (Pad See Yu in Thai), Korean cold noodles, and Basil fried rice so we got all 3 cuisines, lol. Loved the generous portion sizes, and the fact that each dish came with a small plastic cup of good quality kim chee, hot sauce on the side, and a plain warm broth so there isn't a big need to buy a drink if you want to keep the bill down. Pricing was good not great for a food court place, the main complaint we had was how little meat came with the otherwise delish Korean cold noodles and Basil fried rice (almost zero basil, btw). The Thai noodles actually had a decent amount of meat, strangely enough. Overall I'd give the food about 7 out of 10, mainly due to how miserly they are with meat. read more

Fast, friendly service at a great price each and every time we get a dish here. From piping hope cheese noodle soup (my favorite!) to crispy pad thai with a special order of steamed tofu that always confuses them a bit....they are happy to accommodate and make our order the way we want. If you've never been to the H-Mart food court before, it can be a little intimidating at first, especially during peak times of the day. You'll be fighting over a table or dodging the dummies bringing their carts through. The lines for most food stalls like Woojeon are never really bad, it's finding a place to enjoy their dishes that is the problem. The best deals here are the soups at around $6 and the tempura appetizer for $5. Most of the dishes come with a side of kimchi and a cup of fishy broth This hasn't gotten a bit fishier over the times we have visited and I'm not really a fan, but it's still nice to get "freebies" with meals if it's something you enjoy. Pro tip: When ordering pad thai, get the CRISPY version, it's decadent even if it'll be a little tougher on your waistline. It's a legit "hole in the wall" that serves up delicious Korean and other Asian dishes. It's probably my favorite stall inside the grocery store and we return whenever we are in the area. read more

I was introduced to Woojeon Korean Cuisine a while back while shopping at H Mart. I was very impressed with all the dishes. I've tried most of the hot dishes here and they were all authentic and cooked to perfection as they would be at any fancy Korean restaurant. My go to take home since I live a little bit distance away is a cold Bibim Bap platter number 20 on the menu. For $7.95 I believe it's the best value on the entire menu for take-home you can put in the fridge you need it the next day and it taste fabulous it comes with a side of rice and is more than enough for one person if you add a little extra kimchi you could make it spread for two people. I always see the same staff here, it's a couple of middle aged women who are very precise and to the point and there's a gentleman the back cooking I frequented here four or five times and I would highly suggest to give it a try. I've been here twice. Once in the winter of 2018 and second time in the summer of 2018. The two experiences have been polar opposite of each other. First time here in winter, I ordered the seolleong tang. The soup came with four small thin slices of beef, the broth tasted diluted, and the bowl was small. This bowl and contents compared to other places i had seoleong tang was very small and over priced. This summer I came back and gave it another shot but ordered two other dishes. Both dishes were more appropriately sized and very well priced to its competition when you talk about Korean food. The tofu stew was standard, came with two sides, and a bowl of rice. So did the stir fry dish, two sides, small cup of miso soup, and bowl of rice. The pork stir fry dish was on the sweeter side. I couldn't finish it in one sitting, the sweetness got to me. Other than that, it was flavorful. Overall, I'm glad I gave it a second shot and tried other dishes. I will continue to eat here when I'm hungry while shopping at the H-Mart. read more

They're lazy as to just lay the omelette on top of the rice instead of stuffing rice inside an omelette pouch. Dividing the food court from the rest of the market is a line of lamps, giving the impression of a pleasant outdoor dining experience. I ordered the Japchae (Vermicelli noodles, beef, vegetables) $8.95 for my dinner, and held on to a buzzer for 10-15 minutes before it informed me that my tray was ready. Unexpectedly, the japchae shared a plate with a large portion of rice (double carb!), and was accompanied by side dishes of kimchi and beansprouts, and a bowl of soup. The japchae was okay, but not as tasty as it could have been. My taste of a friend's bulgogi was good though - it was sweeter than the beef mingled with my noodles.
