We chose their OG tacos with tri-tip, "Notcho" fries with tri-tip, "Caliguey" burrito, and chips with salsa. The OG tacos consist of the tri-tip, onions, cilantro sauce and sour cream though the hubby did it want sour cream. The nacho fries comes with fries (of course), beans, onions, cheddar Jack cheese, sour cream, cilantro and choice of salsa. The Caliguey burrito has tri-tip,guac, cheddar Jack, French fries, sour cream wrapped in a tortilla. Everything comes out in great portions, well seasoned tender beef and super tasty! We have tried every Sancho's in south OC and I like this one the best. The staff is consistent, the food is always hot and made correctly. The parking lot is very small and if you cannot find parking in the lot look on the street (free, not metered). Came on a Saturday morning to get breakfast burritos and as always they were amazing. This location only has 2 inside tables, but the majority of the seating is outside so wear weather appropriate clothing. No Space heaters in the winter on the patio. They have a restroom but you need to ask for the key (which is normally hanging on the wall by the soda fountain). The tacos, burritos and chips and salsa are all excellent, and you cannot go wrong with anything you order. They also sell alcohol. Stopped in for an impromptu dinner with 10 teens and two adults. It was madness taking all those order but we received the absolute BEST service from Aiden. He was so patient assuring the folks in line behind our large party that he saw them and would take their orders soon. He did not rush us but was instead very thorough answering questions about certain dishes and even making recommendations. The ambiance was very cool and the music was great- they played the Ramones and some early ska music so cool! Our food was superb! Everything we had was delicious and beautiful plated. We had ranchwaters and they were the best I've ordered anywhere- Aiden was also bartending! Our food was served promptly. All the teens were satisfied and happy when we left. We had the chicken quesadilla and the cali burrito. The food was pretty good and I really enjoyed the chicken quesadilla. It was crispy and cheesy but honestly everything tasted like how you would expect it to be. They were both good but wasn't anything crazy. Their green sauce was really good though and I enjoyed it with the chicken quesadilla. It's really close to the beach so it's nice to stop by if you are craving Mexican food. Parking might be a bit tight since there's limited parking but there's a Ralph's close by where you can park. There's plenty of seating because they have indoor and outdoor seating. read more

I've passed by the Huntington Beach location very often on my drives in the last 2.5 years, but never went yet. There's always a line no matter what day or time I pass by, but I was in the San Clemente area and it didn't seem crowded, so I circled back around because I couldn't pass up this opportunity to finally try them! It was a weekend day of Labor Day weekend and surprisingly, no one was there, but a couple of people swung by to pick up their order while I waited for my food (takeout). I could only try the breakfast food due to the time of day I was there, unfortunately, so I got the Sawed Off burrito with chicken and it was very good! The food was delicious and the service was amazing. We went on a Friday night and hit the timing just right. We were able to get one of the two tables inside and right after we sat down several larger parties came in. Then the food came and it was amazing! I got the bean and cheese burrito with a Coke and chips and guac. It was all amazing! My husband got tacos and loved those as well. They were amazing when they brought the food out to us and patient when they needed to ask us things we didn't know like which salsas and what not. The food was prepared quickly and came out piping hot and so good. The ambiance is worth viewing alone. All the walls and decor is over the top. I love this place! Whoever invented the menu got it just right, including their salsas that I believe are made just by them. My go to is the veggie Flaco taco with the hearty meaty bite of mushrooms and artichokes and spinach. Who made this up? Anyway I have yet to try more of their menu and rave about it because even their chips and salsas are on point. My taco went perfectly paired with a Pacifico. I arrived right in the knick of time before the closed early for Christmas Eve. I'm so happy to see this place overflowing with customers and so many arrived after closing and you could see their shock and disappointment. This is my second time and getting the Caliguey burrito. It's very tasty, who doesn't love some meat and fries wrapped up in a grilled tortilla! Delicious! The person taking the order was nice. It's basically you order and pay. You get your own drink at the soda fountain and when your order is ready they bring it to you. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because on their menu in the store they haven't updated the price which is higher as for my burrito it showed $14.75 however the actual price now is $17.75 which showed on my receipt. This place is BOMB. These are some of the best tacos I've had in a long time. Very unexpected how good this spot would be. It's a bit off the beaten path as it is right off the highway and kind of unassuming, but, I am so glad I stopped by to check it out. They have a nice outdoor patio geared with heating lamps! The inside seating area is a bit limited. Outside is where you want to be. They have plenty of options from breakfast to burritos, tacos and bowls! Stopped by on the way to Garden Grove from San Diego and was super happy at how good the food was! We ordered the Pounder's Carnal (one HUGE fried fish taco), a Surf & Turf burrito and Not Cho Fries with steak. Oh my goshhhhhh everything was so good. I used to be a regular at the Sancho's in Newport because I lived a few miles away. Sadly I am further inland and have to find time to get to any of the Sancho's locations. Today I was craving a shrimp taco and I was in the area so I went in to satisfy my craving! The lot is small, I want to say there are about 8 spots max so I can only imagine what it is like during peak times. When I walked into this location the first thing I noticed was the waving monkey. Super random and I was like extremely distracted by it for some reason. The second thing I noticed was the seating. There are about 3 booths in total. I've gone to the HB, Newport and this location and they are all set up on a smaller scale so there's not much seating. There's a good amount of seats outside, but it was chilly so I decided to stay in. I ordered the Skrimps, Fried Fish and half an order of their chips and salsa. My advice for anyone who likes salsa with a kick is to ask for chubby salsa! When my ordered arrived at my booth, I realized that even though I asked for chubby salsa, they gave me the red salsa. I went back to the counter to asked them if they could swap me for the salsa I asked for. I devoured my shrimp taco, and ate some of their homemade chips and chubby salsa, it has a good amount of spice and it's a tiny bit sweet too. The only thing I was bummed about was my fried fish taco. It seemed to be a tad bit over battered so all I could really taste was the batter that was cooked through but there wasn't a large amount of fish. The fried fish taco is usually my go-to as well, but this time I was super bummed about the fish to batter ratio. Overall great place for some bomb tacos. read more

They do a brisk business, that's for sure. We showed up around lunch time on a sunny and breezy day. The indoor tables were all taken, and the outdoor tables were either full or lacking shade. I was afraid we'd be eating standing up, but we snagged a table by stalking a couple that looked like they were finishing their meal. I ordered the carnitas nachos, and my husband ordered the steak quesadilla. I do wish the girl at the front had let us know the portion sizes were so big. My husband and I could have shared the nachos, or even the quesadilla, and walked away satiated. I did like that they made the chips in-house - they were thick but crispy. They bake the nachos after adding the meat and cheese, which added a nice layer of flavor, but it was too much. I didn't enjoy the carnitas meat; I actually flung the meat pieces off the chips before eating. We did end up sharing both plates, but we barely made a dent in the nachos. If ordering the nachos, I'd recommend going with the steak as your protein; it was flavored well, and really tender. I ended up eating more of my husband's quesadilla than he did. Both meals were served with salsa verde, which had a nice, tart flavor. The quesadilla also came with a side of sour cream. Not sure we'd go back, but if we did, I'd try their tacos.
