Arrived 10:00am on a Sunday morning after my kid's soccer game. I wanted to try their breakfast burritos and other burritos, only to find out that they only serve breakfast burritos and don't serve other burritos till 11am. Bummer. Oh well. So we order two breakfast burritos. One with Chicken and the other with Bacon & Sausage. The burritos were a good size, not a two handed burrito thou, and not really a size to share. They had a number of sauces, and practically tried them all. Service was fine. They brought our food to our table, rather quickly and offered additional sauces... sure, let's try them all. Pros --tacos and burritos are really good --chubby sauce is good --chips and queso are good Cons --frequently mess up orders --they prioritize online orders so they stop taking orders in the shops for 5-10 minutes sometimes to catch up on their current orders and online orders --do not always pick up the phone --not a lot of parking Make sure to check your to-go order before leaving. Wow, most definitely the worst Mexican food we've ever had. We ordered the tri-tip burritos which was an epic fail. There was no flavor whatsoever to the chewy beef. All I could taste was the runny sour cream and some strange flavor peeking through in the background. I should've asked for a refund, but decided the negative review might have more effect. After a perfect 4 hour surf session, I had to get something in me before my stomach collapsed in on itself forming a black hole in San Clemente. Fortunately Sancho's Tacos was a short drive away and the only thing that could fill my bottomless void. I ordered the Sawed Off breakfast burrito, and it was everything I could have hoped for. Packed with eggs, sausage, potatoes, and a generous amount of cheese, it was like a portable omelette but better! A really nice touch was the crispy texture of the tortilla which had been grilled. The size wasn't huge but it was enough to leave me satisfied. Now that I know they can do breakfast burritos well, I want to go back and try their California Burrito. To start, the quality and portions of the food for the price paid was absolutely phenomenal. To get a Tri-Tip No Cho fries for $12, which could easily feed two adults, is great! Especially as things get more expensive due to inflation. All of their ingredients were quality, and they were extremely generous with the amount of Tri-Tip given. You are also given a free salsa on the side, in which they have over five in-house made salsas to choose from. The three tacos we got were the OG, the Federale, and the Flounder Carnal. The OG was a Tri-tip based taco. This one was our favorite, because the sweetness of the sauces with the flavor of the salty Tri-tip was fantastic. The Federale was our least favorite, with the Carnitas being a bit too salty, but it was a foundational, tasty Carnitas taco. Lastly, the Flounder Carnal was great with a solid portion of fish that was battered perfectly, combined with fresh coleslaw and a mayo-based sauce that was refreshing on a very warm evening. To conclude, if you are stopping through San Clemente or even staying for a night, Sanchos is a must try. read more

So many awesome choices, both meaty and veggie. Full of flavor and they are willing to work with you to get just the item(s) you want. My favorite grub here is Flacos Tacos; artichoke heart, spinach, avocado, and mushrooms. My God! Plus they load it in tight with some salsa verde. It is really one of my favorite tacos I've ever had! Quesadillas so full of meat that you forget there's even the queso in the dilla! Surf & Turf Burrito; this is tri tip and shrimp loaded with beans and rice too. I add Pepper Jack cheese for a little kick. Costs a few cents extra but it's great, trust me. The Federale taco has some deliciosas carnitas!! Tangy goodness with the 5150 sauce too. Mmm mmm... second favorite at Sancho's for me. Oh and there's breakfast too.... don't miss out on the Sawed off Burrito, try the chorizo. Can't go wrong. So many different sauces too, get a few so you can try them out. I love green sauces but I'm open to any of them here. Service is great!! They all know they work in a freaking awesome taco spot so there may be a bit of an edge to them... but not in a bad way, they've got it goin' on. Tacos run $3-5 and burritos $5-10, fries, nachos, kids meal, fountain drinks and churros.... you won't pay more than about $10 on any item, reasonable prices for sure.
