Located inside the gaylord hotel. Wow! I was impressed! The service was so fun and friendly. The food was so so good and the views were great! I wasn't expecting much with the food but I was definitely impressed. The menu options are limited but had something everyone could try.

Overpriced, terrible food and drinks. The salsa is not edible or identifiable as food. We spent $46 on this and a beer and a white claw. Although Gaylord palms is beautiful, the food choices are limited and overpriced. Ambiance today was lacking (it's raining) service was friendly but can't get beyond the lack of value and quality for the money.

I had a fantastic lunch at SandBar with my family while we visited the Gaylord Palms. The lobster rolls were a hit. My son and husband loved them. I had the hummus plate and the guacamole and salsa. All delicious. My only complaint is the guac & salsa is such a TINY portion and it's $15. Overpriced. But tasty. The hummus was really great and I love the variety of veggies it came with. The waiter Hector was kind and attentive. The ambiance is top notch - poolside with an island vibe.

We visited Sandbar while staying at the Gaylord Palms. The staff was incredibly fast and efficient. What I appreciated most was that the bartenders were careful to acknowledge the servers at the pool and wanted them to be able to be able to make tips as well- this shows great teamwork and care for each other, which in turn, made sure we were taken care of. We had margaritas poolside, and also ordered a pretzel and chips with salsa/guacamole. The food was ready in under 10 minutes and was terrific- perfect for a Florida pool day. The videos at the bar were fun, energetic, and friendly, and I forgot that I was in a resort and not at the beach for a bit. Those same vibes carried over poolside- making for a great experience!

First of all, Orlando Florida is very limited in its food options. You would think this tourist destination would be flooded with food, but I can tell you from coming here over a dozen times the food and central Florida if you're from Southern California is lacking. We stayed at the Gaylord resort and hung out at the waterpark and pool with the kids a lot along with the Disney parks. The first day we were starving so my daughter ordered chips, salsa, and guacamole, along with some hummus. We were pleasantly surprised on how clean everything was. On last day my daughter ordered the chicken quesadilla and said it was one of the better ones she's ever had! Either way when you stay at the Gaylord, head to the pool and order lunch, it's a great way to spend an afternoon.

The food here is ok. Nothing special, just ok. We are at the Gaylord for a conference and my husband needed to have a quick lunch and get back to the floor so we decided to eat here because the sports bar had a 45 minute wait for tables. Fun fact, they charge you when you order, not after you've eaten. I thought that was strange. I doubt there are a lot of dine and dashes here. My hubs got a cheeseburger and I got the turkey wrap. It took quite some time for our food to arrive even though we were a little later than the lunch rush. Again, I stress that the food was just ok. Fries came out just warm, not hot. Server was nice.

Love coming to the Gaylord. We come 2-4 times a year usually in the Spring, Summer and then in November for Ice. We enjoy the food at the hotel. Today we hit the pool and enjoyed lunch at the Sandbar. I highly recommend the salads. They are always fresh and delicious. Watch out for the dive bombing birds that hunt around the big pool.

Pool bar. Food is pretty good but pricey. We usually like to stop here at least once during our stay. The weatherr is usually nice enough that is is comfortable. Drinks are pretty good and beer is reasonable.

The quesadillas were really good. We also ordered the fish sandwich which came with an enormous blackened fillet. We replaced the chips for fries but the kitchen forgot and we ended up getting chips and fries- win win situation! Service was good- our serve Ali was very friendly and welcoming! You can order poolside or sit at the restaurant right by the pool.

Jeremy the bartender was phenomenal! Food was great too but he made the trip worth it. The manager even came to see how our food and drinks were. Great customer service and we will be back.

When you're at a resort and hanging out at the pool all day, you know the prices are going to be higher than normal. I don't mind paying resort prices usually... however, these prices are south beach prices, way more than a family resort in Orlando. The server that came to our lounge chairs was excellent. He kept checking on us throughout the day. I wish I remembered his name because he deserves 5 stars! He gave us food recommendations and didn't let us down. The fish sandwich and burgers were very good (4 stars). The drinks were the most expensive part and the reason for feeling ripped off. Even a child's lemonade was $8 and not free refills. A day at the pool with lunch for 7 people was over $300. It just seems exorbitant.

For some strange reason, if you eat something by a pool, beach or any water feature in Florida, it just tastes better. We went to the Sandbar Restaurant in the beautiful Gaylord Palms Resort after a spa visit and just sitting in the wonderful Palapa hut brought the vacation vibe. Our server was great, and the food was delicious, my favorite was the hummus and dip. The hummus tasted authentic, homemade and very flavorful, washed down with a Bloody Mary. We have enjoyed many of the restaurants at this Resort and was happy that the Sandbar was just as good.

Bad food that is on the expensive side and service is nothing to rave about. Other than being next to poolside, I would avoid this place

Last week on Thursday, we waited at least twenty minutes for our meal, only then being told they "lost" the order due to a computer error. 2. SERVICE: Recently, many, if not all of the servers seem new. They're friendly, but I miss familiar faces--no explanation. 3. AMBIANCE: Much the same; however, the perimeter booths on the outside where we like to sit, are abominably uncomfortable. Sitting on rock-hard boards can be back-numbing (perhaps, the goal to keep the patrons from dawdling too long. 4. The hostesses and hosts are friendly and delightful. We enjoy be greeted as loyal patrons. Venessa is wonderful. 5. THE BAD: The check includes "suggested tips," no longer an uncommon annoyance adopted by many restaurants. Bad enough. What's outrageous is the calculation of the tip based on an amount the includes the sales tax. You may notice that I don't see any edible tax on the plate or in my drink. I recalculate, the tab, but find the practice deceitful. I also HATE the server coming to the table with the little electronic device that has the patron submit payment, while having to make the corrected calculation of the tab.

The vibe was fun for sports fans overall and even better if you are there for the featured event and using the interactive bays. Our small TV had a glitch and kept resetting every 5 mins or so, which seemed to coincide with when action was happening in the game and got annoying, but there wasn't much that could be done aside from moving to another table after we were already set. The menu had fun theming and great variety with creative dishes. We got the potato pucks since we were there for hockey, street corn nachos, a pizza, and a salad. All were fine, and as other reviews shared, cost a bit more given the location in the heart of the touristy areas. We appreciated that they validate parking as well. If you want guaranteed seating, I'd recommend reserving a table online in advance. Otherwise, bar seating is first come, first served. A nice perk is that parking is validated, so don't forget to bring your parking ticket inside. The restaurant is conveniently located in the main lobby, making it easy to find. The atmosphere is great for watching sports, with plenty of TVs throughout the space. However, be prepared for resort pricing. Beers start around $9, cocktails are about $15 and up, and most food items are $20 or more. They also automatically add an 18% service charge to every tab. I ordered the smash burger with fries, one beer, and one margarita. The burger was a bit dry, and my total came to $59 before any additional tip. Overall, it's a convenient place to catch a game if you're staying at the resort, but I personally expected a larger venue and felt the food and drinks didn't quite match the price.
