If you know where Hot Tamales is, go behind it and hit Upscale Rio! First of all, this place has so many options of what I'd call comfort food and everything is good! They have shakes, desserts, yummy starters, mac and cheese, burgers and much more! What's my favorite thing? So many items are gluten free!! Hallelujah!! Even the burgers can be ordered with a gluten free bun! We also had a super sweet waitress! I had to go gluten free last fall and it really cut down on us eating out as most places have little to no options. Here, MOST things are gluten free!! Like what you may ask? Well, today I had chicken fried chicken, green chile gravy, mashed potatoes and fresh vegetables- a medley of corn, Lima beans ,bell peppers and red onions. They use a gluten free rice flour and the batter on the chicken was crispy and delicious!! They are also super generous with their portions so I took half of my food home and can't wait for dinner! I also had a double chocolate shake and a cold brew. They proudly brew Whispering Bean Coffee which is super tasty! My husband had the Green Chile Chicken Pot Pie and really enjoyed it and ate every bite! My mother in law had the Basic Cheddar Burger with fresh cut fries and raved about it. She also had a Key Lime Pie Shake. No photo of this, sorry! They normally have a gluten free fruit cobbler but they were out. I'll be back to try that for sure! All I know is I found a place that has super tasty gluten free options that I can't find anywhere else. I love you Upscale Rio! I'll be sharing this with all my gluten free friends! See you soon!! XOXO

Burger was cooked well and was filled with flavor! I got the steak fingers after reading reviews and unfortunately they were not good. Look, you're going to die someday…read more That day will come just a bit sooner if you eat regularly at Big Boss Hotlinks, but oh what a life you will have lived until then! I tried this truck for the first time today, and my doors are blown off and my socks have been knocked off! The lady at the window was super friendly, and not in a fake, awkward way, but in a genuine, "I love everyone" sort of way. Anyway, I ordered 'The Duke' special, which is a lot of stuff I like: beef, hotlinks, caramelized onions, cheese, and green chile on a hoagie roll. She took my money, and I waited, thinking this was probably a mistake. I hadn't heard much about the place, but it seemed like with all those components, some of the weaker ones would bring down the entire sandwich. Boy was I wrong. The beef was beautifully cooked, with just a bit of pink showing, the hotlinks were smokey and delicious, the onions were soft and plentiful, the green chile had heat, and the cheese tied it all together into a beautiful gooey mess on a soft and inviting roll. I needed the extra fork she provided, as I 'got nasty' with it, caring less and less about what proper eating etiquette is, and more and more about getting it into my mouth as soon as possible. I'm not going to lie to you - this is not health food. Not even close. In fact, there really isn't anything I'd consider 'healthy' on the entire menu. If you're looking for something green, you've come to the wrong place. This food truck's menu is a carnivore's paradise, and it's going to cause long-term problems, but you know what? I live in the short term. It's greasy and brown, and just amazing. This would be the ultimate hangover food if I were hung over, which might just be the best compliment I can give the place. I'll definitely return.

The order was out quick, despite the number of people, so they were ready to get things expedited. We ordered the Green Chile Cheeseburger with hot green chile, grilled onions, and a side of crinkle fries. One of the burgers was missing a chunk of the patty. The other burger had a good sized patty. We were quite hungry so we went right in. However, the first bite was disappointing with no flavor. We were waiting for the hot in the green chile, but it never landed. And the grilled onions were quite sparse, also not giving it much more flavor. The crinkle fries were crispy and had some salt. But they did not redeem the meal. Nevertheless, the combo was quite filling. Overall, the food never met the smell that attracted us to this truck or the high cost, leaving us with a full belly but no flavor to speak of.

The sunrise burger is still one of hubby's favorites in the city, and the fries are incredible. I tried the High Point Mac & cheese (green chile mac w/steak sliced on top) and yowza. So much flavor, and the steak was perfectly tender. The restaurant has food nailed. And our server was amazing. Unfortunately, th manager did a poor job estimating how busy they'd be on a Friday night, so the two servers were running ragged. The manager pitched in, but they were playing catch up with the silverware and we had to wait for it when the food arrived. Which, no biggie, but it was a fork when I had steak and my husband had a messy burger. So we right away asked for knives. I pointed out my steak, and the manager got snarky with us like she got it. But then she brought us butter knives. When I got up and went to the bar to ask for a steak knife, her attitude was even faker. I don't abide fake when someone's eyes and mouth clearly say they think you're stupid or annoying or both. As a manager, you learn how to school your face and keep people happy or you don't last in management long. Also, if she miscalculated staffing, then it should have been her job to get into the bathrooms and keep them presentable. They weren't. Paper everywhere, and the walls need some serious touch ups. It's hard for people to trust the food safety if the job-food public areas aren't kept clean and well-maintained, you know? We'll be back because the food IS awesome and we always have an enjoyable meal. But they definitely need to turn an eye toward building upkeep and service.

I stopped by for lunch and found the menu offered a nice variety of choices. I ordered the Los Ranchos Turkey sandwich with homemade chips and a Lavender Iced Tea. Both were flavorful, and the homemade chips were an unexpected treat. The iced tea was ready right away and was a refreshing complement to the meal. My sandwich arrived about 24 minutes after ordering, which may have been due to the lunch rush. Including tip, lunch came to about $30. While the price point felt a little high for the overall experience, the quality and flavor of the food helped balance that out. Overall, I enjoyed the food and appreciate having another locally owned option in the neighborhood.

"That's a dang good burger and some mighty fine fries!"…read more In need of beef, I & dining partner dropped into this Revel Burger on Golf Course Rd in west ABQ. I ordered their Combo Special and chose the ground beef burger and beer battered fries options, over the grilled chicken or chips choices. I added green chile and cheese to make it a de facto green chile cheeseburger. Drinks were sweet tea for me and water for today's partner, which were expeditiously delivered to our table as we waited on the food to arrive. Sweet tea was pretty ordinary and less sweet or tea flavored than most I've had. Kinda thin on taste. Burger & fries portion were plenty generous. The well stuffed bun came butter toasted from the flat top & required a good bit of jaw stretch to fit it all in. Burger patty appeared to be hand formed, was very nicely grilled, and had excellent flavor. Lettuce, tomato, & onion, plus a drizzle of their house sauce, were intelligently placed under the cheese topped patty in the sandwich. Thereby keeping the juicy patty from drooling & sogging out the bottom part of the bun. Which was only partially successful since the squeeze needed to eat the sandwich, coupled with the juicy fillings, made some sogging out inevitable. Green chile was rocking impactful flavor and a substantial spicy kick to match. It brought a lovely burn to the lips & tongue!! Beer battered fries came hot from the fryer, substantially crispy crunchy on the outside, tender inside, lightly salted, and really tasty. These fries could make Revel Burger a destination all on their own. Really noteworthy fries! Counter lady was welcoming and very efficient getting our orders taken. Premises were bright from wall of windows facing the road and clean. It shares space with a Pizza 9 so a faint aroma of pizza spices permeates the space, which can be confusing to the brain while you're eating a burger. Demerit for thin watery tea for me and partner being charged $1.69 for a bottle of water, then getting just a paper cup of iced tap water instead of an actual bottle of water.

We walked in, and the place was a little crowded, but we were still sat pretty quickly. I liked the atmosphere of the place because it seemed very open, inviting, and had a certain local charm to it. As soon as my dining companion saw the people around us getting their food delivered it looked so good she no longer remembered what we came for and we ended up ordering something completely different. We didn't wait long for our waitress to come over. She was very nice and attentive I asked her for a drink recommendations, and she mentioned some good ones. Considering the day before was New Year's Eve and I probably should've took a break from drinking, I said say screw it and got something light. It was a blood orange cider, and it was delicious, I was not expecting it to taste like that! Unable to make our minds up, we decided to split a salad and pizza. For the salad I wanted to get the Valley grande, but we compromised and got the brazos which was essentially a Caesar salad. That's how it was huge. We had enough to share and more, it was also tasty, the dressing. You could tell was definitely house made. For the pizza we decided to get a split half truchas and half chimayo (my half) and it was amazing the flavor was great and the topping fresh. Although next time I will ask for well done. On to dessert. The best thing we ordered all night was the Apple calzone. It seemed to be the size of a little football and came with two scoops of ice cream. I could tell it was made to order and it was absolutely delicious! We cannot wait to go back.
