We went there for breakfast on 12/15/2018 around 9am, the entire restaurant was quite cold. The employees even joked with each other about going into the kitchen for a few minutes to warm up. The food was not especially good, but not especially bad. However, after leaving the restaurant (within an hour after) all four people at the table felt moderately nauseated. Made a 10-person breakfast reservation for my family. When we arrived, our table was given away. We had to wait for more tables to be vacated and cleaned. Then the wait staff informed us we had to go up to the makeshift registration to order 10 meals, including elders in our party (83 and 84, respectfully), to stand in line and place our order. My server was very apologetic and very nice but needs to pick up her pace. Had the quiche and it was a bit dry. Served with a generous portion of hash browns and fresh fruits. Went back for a third time because it was the closest to where I was stating. This time the same two servers were working as the last time, but this time I got the faster one. They really do have the best breakfast and brunch in town. The food is exquisitely delightful. The staff are polite, helpful and not at all pushy. I've had the SouthWestern Omelette, Belgian waffles, and pancakes. The place only serves breakfast and lunch and closes by 2pm. A very quaint cafe who's clientele seems mostly local - higher income. We were seated closest to the restrooms and being Latinos I'm hyper aware of this I'll admit. The waitress was nice - just not as friendly and welcoming as the other restaurants my son and I have visited during our stay here. The waitresses were dressed in black turtle necks/blouses it was as if we were having breakfast at an Art galery. The serving portions were big and pricing was comparable to an other down town restaurant in the area. I've had better coffee in Juneau. The french toast was delicious. Still looking for that small town diner that makes you feel like they are happy to see you. It was our last day of vacation and after a cruise we came across this great place and I was so glad we did. Everyone ordered something a little different to share and I went for the French toast sampler. Simply said.... WOW! I knew it would be hearty but it was a huge serving. Each French toast was delicious and moist and I did share a little with the rest of my party... some of it the service was also great and everyone was nice. I was there on morning of July 24th and had the worst discriminatory server ... so, i was in Juneau for a solo alaska trip and this place was a highly suggested place on juneau and rightly so too ... i fell for their game meat section and ended up buying elk burger for brunch, couldn't resist ... the food was really good too ... but the server looked like a racist to me, her name is stefanie if I call correctly, the only blonde girl that time ... so in arrival there, one if the staff girls got me a table, other staff members were really good but this server of mine was giving me weird looks even before sitting ... i asked her for what's there in game meat today (game meat info was mentioned on their board and not much on menu) and she just left and said I'll come later ... she was throwing attitude for no reason ... but at this moment, i thought that she might just be having a bad day at work, i had worked in customer service too and can understand that it can be a little hectic ... so i just waited there for her for more than 15 minutes, she was still the rude herself, but i placed my order and since i never had elk before, i was just excited for my food to come ... meanwhile the table opposite to me got filled by a white family and another one by 2 white dudes ... this same server chick who was so rude to me was so sweet to them even though they were also tourists like me only, not any regular localites ... so, she gave me my elk burger and although I really liked the food but as i can see her from the side of my eye, she was so attentive of those other 2 tables, periodically asking them about how they are doing, having a laugh with them, asking them if they need more while on the other hand i got my check even when my burger was not even halfway eaten ... she didn't even ask me about it, I actually was super hungry and wanted to try something else too but she just made me sick ... after completing my food, i was just waiting for my uber fir 2-3 mins and even then she is staring at me looking like wants me to just pay her and get over with, the place was also not full that time ... now i was pissed off at her antics and probably for the first time ever, left without a tip ... you guys gotta put your staff to check, everyone else appeared good though, only this girl was super horrible ... how do people have and getaway with such discriminatory behavior in 22nd century? read more

Patiently waited more than an hour in the parking lot after making the reservation in person for a party of 5 with the hostess. After waiting an hour we finally called and asked if our table was ready, they said it would only be a 5 minute wait. We waited for another 20 minutes and called again, and the girl said that we had never made a reservation and she didn't have our name and number on her list. Never once did she say sorry for the inconveniences. Waiting for almost 2 hours for mediocre food is ridiculous. Your restaurant needs to humble itself and get its shit together. read more

Delicious and fresh! My curiosity got the best of me and I had to have a sourdough ricotta pancake and I was glad I did. My husband and I split one.
