I'm not coming here again. My first visit here and I dropped off a cashmere sweater and a few dress shirts. The man behind the counter seemed irritated when I asked how much each item would cost. When I returned to pick up my things, the lady behind the counter was not much friendlier. I wanted to use my check in offer from Yelp to save 10% on my total, but the lady told me that she didn't know how to deduct the percentage off my cost. Not only that, when I got home I noticed my cashmere sweater had lots of pilling. Really? I was better off cleaning my sweater by hand! I would a negative number for this review if I could. I dropped off my leather coat to be stained 5/20/20 after calling and verifying Campbell Cleaners does treat leather and would dye my coat. Not only has the work NOT been done, my coat has been unavailable. I am waiting for a refund and my coat. I called weekly after allowing two weeks to complete the job and kept getting excuses: the dye was not purchased (a common dark brown color), then the coat was off-site but not completed, then just a 'not yet'. I believe people in customer support jobs must speak English well enough to explain status. A lesser part of this problem was caused by neither of us speaking the other's language. read more

They ruined my jacket and they don't care. I have now called 3 times and waited 2 1/2 weeks for the owner to return my call. She won't call me back. My gorgeous white blazer got a small mark on it and I decided to take it in to get it cleaned. When I got it back the jacket had marks all over it. Discolorations, long skinny marks, etc. The jacket is ruined. When I asked about the damage I was just told that "is the risk I take when I give my clothing to them".... if you like your clothes pick a different cleaners that actually cares about their customers and their clothes. Worst cleaners I have ever used. I should have read the other reviews before taking my clothing there. My jacket would still be wearable. Note: they don't actually do any of the work there. This review is for their alteration/sewing service. I usually don't do Yelp reviews, but felt that I should share my experience here. I came here to get my backpack patched up as there was ripped stitching on two different places on the the back of the backpack. When I went to the location, I was greeted by an elderly lady who processed my work order. She marked both spots, quoted my $15 (pay on pickup), and said that it would be ready after Thurs that week. Just FYI, no service is completed on-site, they are sent into the tailoring shop and then dropped back here for pickup. Here are the events that happened next: - Came by on Saturday to pick up and was greeted by a younger gentleman who informed me that the backpack was still not ready and would be likely be done next Thurs since that is when they receive items from the tailoring service. I did not receive any notification or phone call telling me that the item was not ready for pick up. - Came by Thurs the same week and picked up the backpack just to find out that the tailoring service only fixed one ripped stitching instead of both. I don't understand how this happened since these were clearly marked when it was originally sent in to service. Thus it went back into the shop and I had to come back the following week. - Came by the following Saturday and finally picked up the backpack and verified the requested work was completed correctly. Conclusion: It took 3 weeks for me to get my backpack serviced (correctly)! I will not be coming back for any future tailoring/alteration jobs due to this horrible experience. read more

Eager to try out a new dry cleaner in the neighborhood, so I bought the Yelp deal for $50 of dry cleaning for new customers, and took about a dozen pieces in. I was surprised that they needed 5 days (no sewing or repairs) but I returned 6 days later, to a boatload of problems: 1. The clothes weren't ready---they said they needed more time but could not provide an ETA. So I asked to take the clothes as they are (some not ironed fully). 2. The older lady rudely told me the Yelp deal was invalid and expired, even though I had only bought it one week prior and it was dated as such. I have had a similar experience to another user with respect to wrong information at drop-off: I brought in an Indian suit for dry-cleaning and was on the fence between handwashing it myself or letting them do it. For the quoted $14 I felt like it was worth it getting it cleaned professionally. But the surprise came at pick-up: my bill was $16 higher! They wanted to charge more than double. Ok, mistakes happen I thought and showed my quote, thinking it would be adjusted. Nope. The lady just stated that the guy receiving it made a mistake. Well, that should not be my problem! But yes, it was made my problem. I had to argue strongly to get the price down. But was still charged $23 instead of $14. For this experience itself I would give one star. I am adding the second one only because they cleaning quality is usually fine. read more

Brought in 2 pairs of pants to be hemmed. The man said it would be a total of 13.00. Great deal, so we said ok and that price was on our receipt. Went to pick up our pants and the lady said it was 31.00.... Wait what ??!!!!. 31.00 to hem 2 pairs of pants ???!!!!! The receipt said 13.00.... The lady said " oh you are in Campbell".... Sooooo Campbell is allowed to rip people off ???? She refused to give us the pants for 13.00 THEN threatened to call the police..... Oh ok... Call the police.....she then started neogate the price, like we were at the flea market......so we ended up paying 17.00 to get our pants back. Don't ever ever ever go here. Recently tried this cleaners during the holidays. Recommended to me by a friend. Seems the owner has changed over the last 6 months. Absolutely horrific experience, I would not recommend this place to anyone. The worst in my experience with any dry cleaners. I Dropped of 4 items on 12-23-16 for pick up next day 12-24-16. Firstly the items seemed to be pressed only and not cleaned, (they did not smell clean), all the food stains that we pointed out were not removed. Secondly they broke a button on the front of my jacket and tore a small hole near the button. I reluctantly took two of the items and convinced the other two would be fixed. The owner convinced me she would replace the button and would and could get the same button replacement and clean the items herself for Monday pick up 12-26-16 rather than refund me. When I picked up the two remaining items, they simply removed the food stain on the sleeve of my dress (still remaining food crumbs left behind. And they cut off the button on my jacket sleeve and placed it where the front lapel broken button which was way smaller that the buttons on the front of the jacket. That kind of service is appalling especially when the owner was practically yelling at me indicating no one would notice. She refused to provide a refund. They may be good for laundry but please, I beg of you, do not have anything altered that this place. Took two very expensive prom dresses there because we confused Campbell Cleaners with Angelica's which was highly recommended. Roxanne assured us that they could do the alterations but could not give a price. That should have sent us running. Just picked up the dresses and the hems are a good four inches different in spots, the liner was longer than the main material in some areas, super short in others. A beautiful scalloped hem was just cut off and left with a raw edge. They charged us over $100 and refused to refund our money when we explained that the dresses had been butchered and we had to take them somewhere else to try and fix them. Angelica now has to stretch the material in some spots just to make the dress long enough to reach the floor. When I complained Roxanne said she was shocked that there was a problem because they had never had an issue. Reading the reviews now I found that hard to believe. Please, learn from our mistake and do not have anything altered at this shop. Never again. read more

I took 2 blouses and 2 jackets that needed dry cleaned to Campbell Cleaners this week. Both blouses had stains from other clothes bleeding on to them, and I was hopeful that they would come out. I brought them in Tuesday evening and was told they would be ready Thursday. When I came in Thursday, Roxanna, the woman who helped me, showed me the stains on one of the blouses, and explained that the dry cleaning process probably wouldn't remove those stains. I told her I still wanted the blouse cleaned, since I mostly wore it under a jacket anyway. Imagine my delight when I returned on Friday, and those stains had vanished! Thanks so much guys! This is the first negative review I've ever left, so this is saying a lot. I used to go here religiously since it is walking distance from my apartment so it was super convenient and pretty consistent. In October of 2019, I dropped off my dry cleaning as usual. When I went to pick up my clothes, one of my favorite sweaters I've ever owned was missing. I was told I would be contacted as soon as it was found. A week went by, no one contacted me. This went on for weeks. I would call and no one would call me back. Finally, I got a hold of someone and the owner I believe told me to come by right away since they "found the sweater." So I went over right away and that was a lie, no sweater was found. Instead, I was told some bullshit excuse instead of just owning up that the sweater was likely stolen. Not sure how it would of gotten lost, so I guarantee it was stolen. It is now February of 2020 and no one ever got back to me to apologize after I've been a loyal customer for well over a year. I am so incredibly disappointed in this place and its customer service. I do not recommend going here at all. Hoping the owner reads this and makes some changes. I am posting this, because the level of customer service I received from Campbell Cleaners today was above and beyond. Now, this story actually starts off on a negative note, but believe me, their customer service makes it seems like a tiny speck of dust. I dropped off my items on Sunday, they told me me items would be done on Tuesday. I showed up today to pick up my dry cleaning, and came across a glitch. It turned out that the person that had checked in my items, accidentally forgot to tag some of my smaller items. This resulted in other employees not knowing whom my clothes belonged to. So they took them to another facility that Campbell Cleaners has. When I arrived and found this out, I was understandably upset. I didn't have time to go to another location, I needed my items tonight and couldn't come back to get them the next day, and I had been promised my items today. Campbell Cleaners is about $10 more expensive than another cleaner I used before them, but I opted to pay that price because of the value of them being open on a Sunday. Well, here is where the amazing part comes in... the young lady at the counter sees I am upset, so she calls whom I can only assume is either the manager or the owner, Griselda, so that she can speak with me. I get on the phone with Griselda, and I'm frustrated because of the situation, and then Griselda did something amazing yet simple.... she told me, "don't worry, give me your address, and I will bring your items to you tonight." I was so shocked that she would go out of her way for me like that, that I quickly agreed. Not to disappoint, a couple of hours later, there was a knock on my door, and the same young lady that had been at the counter earlier was at my door, hand-delivering me my items. Dear, Griselda: I would like to sincerely thank you for being one of the few people that still strives to offer exceptional customer service. Your gesture was kind, accommodating, and appreciated. Because of the exceptional level of customer service that I have received, I am leaving a 5 star review despite my experience not being perfect. Let me tell you this place does miracles. So I'll start from the beginning where I wore a white skirt to the club and bought a hot dog that fell onto my lap during the car ride home, and I'm not talking about any regular hot dog, I mean street dirty hot dogs with dropping sauce, mustard, relish, ketchup, and grease. You get the picture. But the next week I brought in my skirt quite embarrassed when showing them the aftermath of a true hot dog slaughter, but they took it in and within a week, I came back and they said the stains would not come out, but rather than handing back my piece and charging me, they told me they had brought it somewhere to do special cleaning. So another few days later, I came back and I had a beautiful white skirt again. I was expecting to pay a lot more, but they only charged me $7! I went to pickup my 3 shirts with my receipt for $7.50. The nice woman hands me a bill for $11.50 I say not right. She says because my shirts were long so I held them up to another shirt and they were less than 1 inch longer. After much bickering I finally walked out with my shirts at $7.50. I turned in the receipt, tried the altered t-shirt and checked the dry cleaned shirts. Everything was pretty good and I felt comfortable in this place. Everything was great. yes ive brought my clothes here to get dry cleaned 3 different times, and the 1st 2 times, i wasnt on any time restraints and the service was good, no complaints. the clothes looked good. the last time over labor day weekend i was away from thursday thru saturday evening and my wife dropped off my clothes on tuesday morning before work. she went and told them we were away till saturday night, can we pick them up on Sunday at somepoint., they said SURE, WE WILL BE OPEN... well now its sunday, we stopped by and the store is closed due to labor day. when we specifically asked if you would be OPEN THROUGH LABOR DAY!
