I said they were all the same and need to be shortened 2 inches, but the seamstress insisted on carefully measuring each one individually. It's a good thing she did because they were shipped to us with differing lengths. I appreciate that carefulness and I think lots of places would've just hemmed them without checking. And they had them ready the next day. Nice people working there, and the prices are about the same as elsewhere. This place is a great small business in our community.

For years, we have been their customers for dry cleaning services, so we are extremely loyal. This time, I asked the owner/seamstress to alter a skirt for me because they provide alteration services as well. The request was simple and straightforward: to keep the inner lining length unchanged and only to shorten the outer skirt to be one inch longer than the inner lining. I also repeatedly asked them to make sure the inner lining does not peek out and that it should not be longer than the outer skirt. They promised a delivery date, but when I went to pick up the skirt, the alteration was not done. They said the seamstress forgot what the request was, so she didn't do it. They didn't bother to call me but chose to wait for me to go to the store to then tell me they forgot what the request was. Then they promised another delivery date, and when I came again to pick up the skirt, I saw it was completely botched at the bottom. The outer skirt was cut unevenly, and in some areas, cut way too short with the inner lining showing very visibly. They kept blaming on the style of the skirt for the issue. Not once did they apologize. I was extremely upset about this, because they've ruined my skirt but more importantly, because of their 'don't care, not our fault' attitude. The skirt was handed to them in perfect condition, and now I cannot wear it anymore because the length all around is messed up. The first pic was the skirt after alteration. The second pic was before alteration. The following few images show the skirt after the alteration, and you can see how uneven it was at the bottom and some areas were cut way too short. I am not a seamstress, but I would expect any skillful seamstress to pin the outer skirt properly first before cutting the material. This just looks like someone randomly cut the outer skirt without even checking the proper length. The alteration was already prepaid. They didn't apologize or offer a refund for the alteration. I informed them that the skirt cost me $52.13 and insisted they reimburse me for it. Unfortunately, they took no action. To be honest, the skirt wasn't expensive, and I can easily buy a new one without any issue. If they had simply apologized and acknowledged their mistake, I would have just let it go. Instead, they continued to argue, claiming the skirt was longer in the front. Even with that, they could have avoided the issue by pinning it first before cutting the fabric. And, if they truly had an issue with the skirt style and didn't want to do the job or not able to handle the job, they could have called me, and I would have gladly taken the skirt back and find someone else to do it. Now, they have ruined the skirt and simply used the skirt style as an excuse. We have been giving our business to them for years, and this was how they treated us. There is no way we will go back, and I would advise anyone to think twice about using their service.
