Visiting from LA I was happy to find a restaurant - and a sandwich shop at that - with a large selection of vegan sandwiches without having to travel far from our family's house! We ordered a variety of vegan sandwiches, specifically: -the vegan meatball melody -the vegan hotness -diving deep -busy vegan -vegan Swiss ALL were good!!! (Ive has my share of mediocre vegan sandwiches). I was especially impressed with the meatball melody because sometimes the spices and seasonings as well as texture in other vegan meatball sandwiches were lacking. I'm not sure if they make it or it comes from a supplier but it was good. They also offer sides such as potato salad, cole slaw and macaroni salad. I didn't get to ask if they were vegan. I got a bag of chips. The service was great, even with the takeout-only given the Covid 19 situation. The owner told me that 90% of their business was walk in and that today they had so many phone orders it was almost hard to keep up (a good problem to have). They were also generously giving away toilet paper that they can't use since you can't eat there. I know many businesses/restaurants are selling their tp to customers, which is great, but I thought their giving away tp was just so generous and selfless given shortages. In any event, I hope they're open before we leave to go back to LA in a couple of days. And my family who lives here will also be back! read more

I normally do not eat processed food but it was one of those days. I've never had vegan meatballs before. I thought the sandwich was comforting and it was just what I needed. I really was hesitant to post this because I believe in supporting small business, but I believe this is honest feedback for the restaurant. My last few experiences here the sandwiches just haven't been the best. I think they should update their menu to reflect that you're getting rotisserie chicken on a lot of the chicken items... it is extremely dry, overpacked, and has that canned chicken weird taste. It's refreshing to see a high quality establishment that's not corporate. Their menu Is off the chart. There is something for everyone. By the look of the menu, it's vegetarian and vegan friendly. The sandwich sizes are big, and will definitely fill you up. I'm a big guy and i could only finish half. They seem to make everything made to order. And they really give personal attention to each customer. So don't expect subway speed. It's simple, order your food and sit and wait for an amazing meal. The only thing I wish they did, would be if they sliced their tomatoes a little thinner and their red onions a little smaller and thinner. Every time i go The tomatoes fall out. This was my second time coming here and my husband's first. He ordered the French Dip and I ordered the Razzle Dazzle with cream cheese instead of pepper jack. Both sandwiches were delicious. The (I think) manager explained in advance that the meat can be drier than we were used to at other sandwich shops because the meat is all natural. He was right - the chicken was drier than I was used to but it was still really good and had the right amount of added creaminess with the avocado and cream cheese. We will definitely be returning! The Italian and pastrami sandwiches were excellent! I had the Italian (hot) with the all the fixings, the meats were good and delicious. My husband had the pastrami (hot) with provolone, mustard and pickles only, he loved it. There are not too many good quality pastrami places in Arizona so this place was definitely a treat! Let me also say that they DO NOT SKIMP ON THE MEAT! It's disappointing when places over charge on sandwiches and only give you a few (3-4 slices of deli meat) for a 8-10" sub. So my friend had raved about this place and offered to take me there because he liked it so much... and he was definitely right. I believe I had the United Kingdom sandwich and it did not disappoint. I had a brief chat with Cas who I believe is owner or co-owner and I compared his sandwich to TKB of Indio saying it was right up there next to them in quality and taste. He actually made a sample sandwich for me and my friend of the big Italian at no charge just to show me how good the quality compared ....if not exceeds TKB. I believe if this business was not tucked away at the end of the strip it is located in... and with possibly more freeway advertising like a billboard it would be just as popular as TKB. The first time I came, I didn't receive the au jus sauce for a sandwich and didn't realize until we had driven home. I received a text from the owner recognizing this had happened, with nothing but apologies, and the promise to comp the sandwich next time I came in. I was floored. To have this noticed and addressed with such care left me very impressed. I called ahead and ordered to go, drove all the way there to get it, drive all the way back home just to find they gave us the wrong sandwich. I could possibly look over this error if the bread hadn't been completely burned. You guys made this KNOWING what kind of product you were giving a customer and that's unacceptable. The bread on the outside looked normal but when you opened it up it was completely burnt. I'm not even going to bother calling and complaining because we won't come here again.
