I am actually angry that they don't have a location in California. They were busy but were appropriately apologetic and very upfront about the wait, it was worth the wait! Found this one day just looking for a non-chain sandwich spot. I have been back about dozen other times and tried several different sandwiches. There are literally 100 options. The Masterz Sauce is awesome, the owner is nice, and the food is absolutely delicious. Tried this place last night. I see what the hype is about. The sandwiches are loaded and tasted great! Would have been higher rating for me but we didn't have a very good dining experience. The manager taking our order was awesome and very attentive. However, we chose a spot in the empty dining area near the back and my wife became uncomfortable because the young guys behind the counter kept staring at her. We decided to move towards the front of the shop. Then a bunch of teenagers came in and sat next to us and were roundly and some were cussing. We decided to cut our meal short and leave. Bread was really hard (sourdough) and I ordered NO JALAPENOS but got lots of little jalapeno pieces throughout....hard to pick them off. Came out much spicier than I wanted but thankfully I am not allergic to them. This is a owner run shop who are super friendly. Overall the concept is great. They have a huge selection of sandwiches and chose organic options for meats and cheese. However the bread is pretty thick and might defeat the purpose of an overall Healthy meal. My only suggestion would be to offer Ali ed bread option as opposed to just rolls. read more

The real stars of this place are the sandwiches. There is a dizzying array of sandwiches and options, well-enough to satisfy anyone's sandwich desires. The owner is very proud of the ingredients, and will give you a 2 minute explanation about their freshness, if this is your first time. I've tried several of their sandwiches, and my two favorites are the Thanksgiving Delight (#25), and the Candle in the Window (#97). Both are delicious and substantial enough to satisfy your hunger. I have also tried the French Dip (#27), and the Sandwich Masterz (#48)- their signature sandwich. Both are delicious, though I would recommend sharing the latter, as it is HUGE. All their meat is fresh and isn't served like deli slices but chunks of freshly cooked meat. They also have a rule that if you don't love your sandwich, they will make you another for free. If you don't mind your food made by an entire staff wearing masks below their noses during a pandemic then the sandwiches are ok. When the owner handed me my food, I asked him why no one was wearing their masks correctly. First he played dumb, like he had no idea he was wearing it wrong, then tried "the mandate only says to wear a mask not how" and when I said that wasn't true, it specifies nose and mouth, he started telling me about his medical exemption. I asked about the rest of his staff (3 older teens) then? (Besides, almost no one ACTUALLY has a legitimate medical excuse from a doctor). My husband is a veteran and we like supporting veteran owned businesses but when I told him I would be yelping about this he chased me out of the store spouting conspiracy theories about the W.H.O. and mask wearing. He's lost our business for good. Shame. There were also people waiting for food without masks but no shocker there. If you don't believe in it why would you enforce the policy. Tells me everything I need to know about how he feels about food safety and his customers health. Update: my husband was in his own vehicle and is not required to wear a mask and was at least 10 feet from the owner. Thats why I went in. And I know what the WHO is but they want people wearing masks. As for the ADA you can only get fined for forcing someone with an actual ADA status who has a REAL medical excuse, wear a mask. For the most part, I felt as if the menu items were rather pricey. Me being a huge fan of deli goods and delights such as sandwiches, I was actually kind of disappointed. I was invited to come here by a family member. From what they told me, the place seemed rather amazing. But when it came to my personal experience. The sandwich qualities were rather simple. Nothing out of the ordinary. In my personal opinion, if you are on the west side of town looking for a sandwich shop, this place isn't too bad but if you aren't, not worth the drive (coming from a guy who lives like central Phoenix...) also, I am a person who enjoys his SPICY hot sauces to compliment his foods, maybe it is the fact that my tolerance for spicy is rather high but, their hot sauce selection is rather sour and not as spicy as hoped to be. I didn't love it, but didn't hate it. The 3 star score means I'm still on the fence about the food. The menu size is exhausting -- 149 sandwiches to be exact! In my opinion they are just a variation of one another, really. Maybe you get a simple turkey and it's called one thing. And if you add another ingredient, say avocado, it is called another name. The reality is that it is still going to be a simple turkey sandwich with add-ons. So, just have a few sandwiches, have a variety of veggies and sauces for customers to select and call yourselves Subway, Quinzos, or even Submarina. There really isn't anything that makes this sandwich place pop. Yeah some of their sandwiches have a ton of meats, but a great sandwich needs to have some balance, something that makes you want to come back. I'm not sure why so many deli places think a fist of meat in between bread automatically makes you an amazing food establishment?! I love a wonderful proportion of ingredients that blend well together and make the flavors shine. I got #78, the Prime Rib Stack per recommendation from the owner and the sandwich was okay. It was probably my fault because I had this whole idea of what it would taste like while I waited for it. And it just fell flat in flavor and seasoning, especially for the price. I was also disappointed with the portion size of their sides. Size sometimes matters and in the case of my friend's sandwich, she was disappointed. What should have been a six inch, ended up becoming a four inch sandwich because they cut off the ends of her bread. All in all, this place is okay, not great, nor mind blowing. This is a great new sandwich shop in the west Valley. The meat and cheese is all natural. They have vegan and vegetarian options. They have lunch size and full size options. For $1.00 more, you get a side (potato salad, macaroni salad, Cole slaw or chips) and a drink. You can make any sandwich into a wrap or salad. I had the prime rib melt on a wheat wrap. The meat was tender and just the right portion. One of my kids had the Buffalo chicken sandwich. The sauce was a little spicy for her but it was still good. The other kids had ham and cheese. I usually don't believe in the hype (as I've been let down too may times) but my boyfriend and I decided to try it out. I ended up getting the hot press and it was hands down one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. It's a ham sandwich with honey mustard, jalapeños, provolone, and I added tomatoes and lettuce as well which are optional. We got our sandwiches as combos and that includes a drink and chips.I was originally going to give this place 4 stars because they have RC Cola but they totally made up for it by playing Africa by Toto.
