    TUSCANY SKILLET
    Laureen Y.

We ordered tuscany skillet and corned beef hash platter. The bacon was extra charge. I liked that the potatoes were crispy but tasted weird to me. I didnt like that it had different sizes of potatoes which made some smaller portion to taste burnt and big portion just right. Both skillet and platter needed seasoning. I didnt like the combination of sausage with the potatoes on the tuscany skillet. I definitely would have wanted corned beef hash in exchange for sausage on my skillet but this was not in any of the options.

It was my first time trying Sandy's Cafe. I ordered their $5 pork roll, egg, and cheese summer sandwich special. It was well worth the money as the picture shows what I'm trying to explain :) yumm definitely will be back and the staff was really nice too

I had heard about Sandy's from friends in my community and decided to try them out for breakfast. The staff was friendly and competent and the atmosphere was pleasant. I had the Southwestern Skillet which was delicious!

You can pick your own toppings and there's no extra charge. The pickled onions are pungent but tasty. I occasionally question the quality of chicken but I don't want to think about that. Overall, it's a decent lunch and ordering is easy. Nothing special but nothing bad to say.

I ordered from Yasas by Michael Symon, a Mediterranean restaurant. So, when Wonder came to Brick, I had to visit. I went in yesterday. It is a very small space located in Brick Plaza. There are tables and chairs for ten people only (I counted in case I decide to return with friends). There is a one-person, large, accessible bathroom in the front as well. There is a rack for pickup orders and then places to order the food. The staff immediately approached me and asked if I needed help with anything. I noticed the staff did that for everyone who walked in. They showed people how to download the app and how to order. I decided to order from Yasas again for my mom and Hanu Poke, a poke bowl restaurant. Our bowls were both huge and packed with food. My mom did say she thought the chicken portion was small--she said the same thing in Middletown. However, the bowl was so packed that it was enough food. I loved my tofu poke bowl! Since I am vegan and gluten-free, I asked them about the sauce, and they showed me how to indicate my dietary restrictions on the app. I have nothing bad to say about this place. The bathroom was even spotless. I hope they continue to offer great service and great food.

I'm honestly not sure what was more impressive to me; the soups or the sandwiches. I guess I'll start with their namesake, the soup. First time I came here I tried the French onion, since what better 'simple' soup to judge a soup place by, right? Excellent, right out of the gate - utterly bursting with caramelized onion flavor, and just a hint of brandy, I believe? I later came back and tried the Thai coconut and "thanksgiving dinner" soups, with each one seriously cramming a ton of flavor into each bite. Never thought I'd be blown away by soup, of all things, but here we are. The sandwiches are just as good as the soups were, and are priced really fairly for the quality and portion you get. Most of their sandwiches are made on their homemade "pesto bread", which may be the moistest, softest bread I've had in years. If you can't decide, they seem to run specials frequently, where you can get a sandwich & cup of soup. The only 'negative' I can think of is that since sandwiches are made to order, it can take ~10-15 mins to get sandwiches and the like, but this isn't a McDonalds, so I feel like that's expected. Besides, your patience is greatly rewarded. Skip the chain food; there's some really inspired, friendly folks here cranking out some of the best stuff in town. Well worth a visit, imo!
