This place is adorable and trendy!! Everything looked delicious and the meals are massively large. Everyone seemed friendly of course everyone except our waitress! Tossing and spilling out drinks and food. I had the potato pancakes the only dish not massive and not worth the price only because portion size. The potato pancakes tasted like homemade Jewish potato latkes. My daughter ordered the pistachio pancake, first thought do you remember pistachio Jell-O pudding!? My husband ordered the banana walnut I was eager to try and it was disappointing they had a strange chemical after taste. I would try again if I'm in the mood for comfort food but make different choices in my order.

Fun ambiance, great for kids, many menu options both healthy and sugar rush. The waitress seemed a little confused and was not able to say what kinds of tea were available and she had to go check. We had six people at the table, ordered buckwheat pancakes with Taylor Ham, Carnitas Breakfast Bowl, original pancake wrap with eggs inside, red white & blue pancakes which came with ice cream and cupcakes, another very sugary pancake ensemble, scrambled eggs, bacon, two different milkshakes, a latte and green tea. Everything was good except the Taylor Ham which was crispy and burnt. The Carnitas bowl with potatoes, onion rings, cheddar cheese, jalapeños, delicious pork and fried eggs, was outstanding. We had to ask for water which was not automatically put at the table. Not wheelchair accessible as there is one step inside. Would definitely return to try more options.

Brownstone Pancake Factory is a dream come true for anyone with a sweet tooth! From ice cream on pancakes to triple-decker waffle towers to churro French toast, Brownstone knows how to blur the lines between breakfast and dessert. We started off breakfast by ordering drinks, and although we all got coffee or water, I noticed that Brownstone also has several specialty drinks on the menu, like Biscoff cold brew and a watermelon mocktail. I would love to come back to Brownstone just to try the drinks! Brownstone also has a full lunch and dinner menu, and they're open until 10 PM on weekends. I have never eaten dinner or lunch here before, so I cannot attest to any dishes on those menus. The breakfast menu at Brownstone covers all bases, from omelettes to pancakes to breakfast sandwiches, and everyone in my party got something completely different. I treated myself to the OREO pancakes, which were piled high with whipped cream, crumbled OREO pieces, and chocolate syrup. Even though they were buried under all the toppings, the actual pancakes were the stars of the show. Every bite was fluffy and bursting with buttermilk and vanilla flavor. I loved my pancakes, however, the portion was so huge that I couldn't finish them! As you can see in my attached photos, every dish was plated nicely--I could tell the chef was committed to making each little detail perfect. I thought I was completely full after that delicious breakfast, but looking at the decadent desserts in the front case convinced me to get a black-and-white cookie to take home! Just like everything else at Brownstone, the cookie was humongous--almost as big as my head (and I have a big head)! I can't wait to try it after dinner tonight.

My visit started off shaky as it was taking a while to get a server to take my order and bring me much needed coffee. Turns out her system went down. I feel this place is for kids. It has entertainment value, a lot of large groups celebrating birthdays. The coffee was very good. Although the meal is pricy, they portions are significantly large. The pancakes did not disappoint, they had a nice crust and were fluffy and moist on the inside. They obviously add sugar to the batter, which I feel is unnecessary, but that's just me. Scrambled eggs, bacon, And a sausage link rounded out my meal. The syrup is thick and a jug is on the table as it should be. I ate half the pancakes, which was monumental for me, I had to fast for blood work, so I was ravenous. I saved the eggs for lunch. But another man sat down by himself and we had a great conversation about food in the area, and other subjects. A budding bromance? I hope I run into him again in town. I would definitely return but with family so we can all order different stuff and eat off each other's plates!

Very consistent good food in a fun setting. Our server was very friendly and stopped by frequently to check on us. There is generally a wait on the weekends at prime times.

Main thought: I cannot believe the size of food here. Seriously, it's insane. Started with the Oreo cake shake and it was a little thin for a shake but tasted fine. The best part was the Oreo crust on the side of the glass. The blazing chicken fries were the star of the show. The buffalo chicken was paired nicely with the blue cheese and the waffle fries were cooked well. At this point, I could hardly eat my Cali pancake wrap. The pancake itself was better than expected when paired with syrup (but what pancake isn't lol). The eggs and sausage were ehh. The ribs were disappointing. Literally had to use a knife to cut them. Basically inedible with almost no meat. Our server was very friendly and helped with recommendations. Came at 6pm on a Friday and it was pretty empty.

Best pancakes in the Brick area. We enjoy going there frequently. Amazing imaginative pancake creations to choose from. Also have many other creative non-pancake choices. Definitely something for everyone at brownstones. I tried lots of delicious items, but usually default to either delicious buttermilk pancakes deluxe with fresh fruit or garden omelet with fresh crispy veggies & killer good home fries. Wifey absolutely loves the pistachio pancakes. Huge order for next day(s) leftover breakfast easily justifies the price. Fun and clean environment. Servers are very friendly and eager to please customers. Well run restaurant by manger Carlos, pro active managing the crew, hands on with operations, and very sociable. Brownstone is definitely worth a try!

A great alternative to the standard Diner experience, brownstone offers a wide variety of foods for anytime, breakfast, lunch or dinner. The service is quick and the ambiance is similar to a diner with corporate flair. The food is fresh, warm and quick. While you may wait 20 to 30 mins to be seated, the food is worth the wait. The buttermilk pancakes and the specialty omelette a will win you over. Come with a hearty appetite, as the portions are large. We always have some leftovers to take home.

    French Toast with Blueberries

Yesterday my wife and I had brunch after recommendations from a friend. Inside the place was quite nice with a choice of a booth or table. I had French Toast w blueberries that was wonderful. The French Toast was night and light and there was a small portion of blueberries cooked in the center of each toast. Then on top was another small pile of blueberries. My wife ordered waffles with Nutella that she also loved. This was a few waffles with a generous portion of Nutella, strawberries, blueberries and bananas. It took some work for her to finish them but she did. Between us we shared a side of bacon that came w five slices and was cooked crispy which we prefer. They have a huge menu and have something for everyone. I will warn you the shakes cost almost an arm and a leg at just under $20 bucks. But I am not saying I wouldn't try them as my sister in law said her kids love them. The wait service was excellent and missed nothing that we needed. The meal was also served in a very reasonable time. While we hit the Brick site, our next meal will be a test in Freehold

What can I say except WOW! When we heard that brownstone was opening up a location a little closer to South Jersey I was excited to finally take a trip out there.... And most definitely not disappointed! The only drawback about the place is that they get very busy and it is almost impossible to avoid waiting to get seated but it is totally worth it. If you hate waiting, try to get there the first couple hours they open but there is plenty of seating and the flow of patrons in and out is fairly quick. From their huge omelettes, to their aesthetically unmatched pancake and waffle creations, to their famous pancake wraps and many items featured on various food network shows, prepare yourself to be amazed. My advice would be to go with a few people to share a few dishes, so that you can try some of their sweet and also their savory dishes. Ordered the Italian Omelette with home style potatoes. Humongous! And it was exactly as I expected, like a pizza for breakfast! Loaded with cheese, pepperoni and mushrooms and a heaping helping of potatoes, prepare to take some home. Also ordered the Bruschetta Eggs Benedict. Perfectly cooked eggs with a fresh and vibrant tasting bruschetta on top of pita, every bite was great! Couldn't leave without ordering one of their sweet concoctions, so I ordered the Oreo Nutella Waffle. What can I say except PERFECT! Beautiful crisp and fluffy waffle with a crushed Oreo layer, topped with 3 giant scoops of ice cream and drizzled with Nutella, peanut butter sauce, chocolate chips and shredded coconut. Great open layout of the restaurant made the place feel very inviting and family friendly. Lots of servers even though the place gets hustling and bustling. Will definitely be back to try lunch!

This is definitely a treat to gluten yourself and end all sweet tooth cravings. The food is all over the top and absurd amounts of sugar and delectable sweets. Everything on the menu is gigantic and you'll easily be able to share. The line on sweet and savory is blurred and again I can't emphasize enough how over the top the food is. Definitely not boring... But don't come here If you're on a diet. Ambiance is fine and welcoming.

The Matcha Matcha Man was smooth, creamy, and dangerously easy to drink -- the matcha coconut cream with the ginger beer gave it such a unique refreshing kick. The Lady Marmalade tasted like sunshine in a glass with the perfect citrusy balance and just enough sweetness from the marmalade. The food menu is definitely more small plates/appetizer style, but honestly everything tasted super fresh and packed with flavor. The coconut shrimp were jumbo and crispy with the perfect sweetness, the mango habanero chicken bites super fresh, and the wagyu sliders disappeared embarrassingly fast. The real star though? The outdoor lounge setup overlooking the ocean. It's the kind of place where you go for "one drink" and suddenly it's three hours later and you're debating ordering another round just to stay for sunset. It's walk in only but wasn't too packed ...we went around 5pm but seems to have a packed late night vibe and crowd as well during summer !

Needless to say we ended up with some great photos at the end of the day. You're not going here though for the view. Sorry I had to. Anyways we only ate off the buffet menu that they had prepared. The selection was suprisingly minimal compared to others that I have been at but the price was less than those bigger ones. The quality of the food was 50/50 and the presentation of it was just the same. They had a really great potato dish with red peppers and onions. Wanted to put some ketchep on the side of that and for some reason that was only at another table in a completely different room. The salmon and the chicken were very well prepared but the eggs were not that great. Like I said you had a 50/50 chance of getting something that you were going to like. The dessert was about the same and there was enough choices that you were going to get something that you liked. The service was really what took this place down a notch. Which is strange because it's a buffet so it should be really hard to have bad service. The drinks that we ordered were a pain to get refilled and the plates were not getting taken from the table almost at all. We would have a bunch of empty glasses of water at the table and one of us would ask the server to fill it. She would come and fill that persons glass and walk away. So we realized that we had to tell the server to fill all the empty glasses. Problem was we had to keep doing this they wouldn't just do it. We had to ask each time. It's water it's free and I get that but to have to keep asking for a refill so weird. I wouldn't mind going to play a round at this place sometime and then try the regular sit down menu. Just don't know if this place was really that much of a stand out that I would go back. Would probably say worth a stop if your playing a round and in this area specifically.
