This spot feels like a hidden gem. There's a huge sign inside that says "enter as strangers, leave as friends" and it's reflective of the friendly and attentive service. The vibe was small-town feel, warm & inviting, but with big flavors. I ordered the country benedict which was savory and delicious. The sauce was well made and juicy, pairing nicely with the runny yolk. They certainly didn't skimp on the gravy either. We also ordered the short stack pancakes with strawberries and they were some of the fluffiest pancakes I've ever had. They stayed fluffy even towards the end of our meal and we all fought for the last bite. Perfect tuck-in before a trip down to Point Lobos!

We were going to go somewhere else. But thought. This place used to be good. We walked in the place was packed. We were seated in the back biggest booth. Served coffee. Soda. Then we wait. Finally order. Ok. This took so freaking long. My MIL said they must have had to go catch the chicken. Meanwhile. The table was sticky. I had to ask for a wet towel 3 times. Turns out. They don't clean in the middle where the condiments sit. It was disguising. And waited and waited. Finally the food came. And the hottest thing on my plate was a zucchini in my vegetable dish. My husband ordered a hamburger steak and eggs. It was nasty. I had chicken mashed potatoes and gravy. Gross. The chicken was moist. WET. It wasn't delicious as I had hoped. It didn't say they cover potatoes with that. My MIL had a hamburger. It was dry and she complained to us. I lost my appetite. It took forever for the sever to refill coffee. And get creamer. And soda. Well. It was the worst $80. Spent at any restaurant. The service was bad. The food was awful. And idk how the place was so packed. I wish we had gone to Black Bear. It would've been worth the wait. I will NEVER go back. Or recommend it. OD's Would've also been better. Lousy experience. Totally revolting. One Star. Becuz it was open. SO WHAT.

Great, personal service and good deals. Not particularly fancy, but comfortable. My dining companion and I shared the prime rib special and they were kind enough to split the plate in the kitchen. Can't beat the prime rib dinner for the price.

I came into Sandy's Cafe on a Sunday morning expecting to have a wait, but was delighted when we were immediately greeted by their friendly staff and taken to a booth in the back area of the restaurant with a really cute view! I ordered the belgian waffle with apples with a side of eggs and sausage which was delicious. I came with my boyfriend who ordered the Reuben sandwich and was shocked at the quality of the food for the price. I also tried a few of his fries which were perfectly crispy and delicious! Our waitress (I believe her name was Caitlin) was super sweet and attentive. Sandy's Cafe is such a hidden gem in Gilroy!

There is NO drive through. It is an old gas station converted into a coffee shop. The parking is scant and right next to the building but plentiful just across the side street for the train and bus stations. What this place does have is CHARACTER and a laid back vibe I don't seem to find in chain coffee shops. The service is top notch, the prices reasonable, and the coffee is excellent. You are called to the counter when your order is ready. There are some nice looking pastries available (I haven't tried any yet). There is a retro record player and some vinyl records, but there has never been any music playing there when I am there. It is across the street from a train station and near the downtown shops.

You're always asked if you have any questions before you order which is super nice if you aren't sure what you're going to order. I tried the cardamom fig cappuccino (winter special), hot mocha and ice almond milk latte. The cappuccino was so delicious, though I didn't taste the fig as much as the cardamom it was still a super well balanced cappuccino. The mocha wasn't to sweet, which I enjoy because the espresso still comes through and you can taste the rich chocolate. Lastly, the almond milk latte was really smooth, you can tell they use great quality almond milk. Food wise I got the buttered croissant and two different cookies from Bake That Dough (which they sell inside to the left of the register when you walk in). The buttered croissant was incredibly flaky and buttery. It paired so well with my cappuccino and I look forward to my next. The cookies were so cute and perfectly paired with the coffee drinks as well. Overall great experience, I am excited to try their other baked goodies and fun beverages.

I'm not a never say never, because despite the muted service, giving off vibes, the Carmel bourbon latte w oat milk was on the grail scale of coffees. Mr. E said his cold brew tasted like water. The mocha was good. Their dulce de leche is one I'd like to try if we ever go back... but that may be a minute. Do or don't- it may have been a fluke morning. Do recommend the Carmel bourbon latte.

There's only one person taking the orders in the drive-through line. It must be hard for the people working there. There was also lots of people walking up to order as well. Service was okay. The teen at the window told me "a few minutes" but seemed far more focused on chatting with friends in line than actually checking on my order or giving a realistic timeframe. Those "few minutes" turned into another 18 minute wait. So I ended up waiting nearly an hour total for something I ordered well ahead of time. That completely defeats the purpose of mobile ordering. If you cannot handle mobile orders, stop accepting them. The drink itself was good, which is the only reason this is not a one star review, but the service and lack of urgency were frustrating and unprofessional.

Super satisfying and definitely a solid option if you're craving quality chilaquiles. The only downside was the tri tip. It was pretty bland, the cut wasn't great, and unfortunately tasted more frozen prepared rather than fresh tri tip. As for the Strawberry Matcha, I wasn't the biggest fan. It didn't really taste like matcha at all and came across more like strawberry milk. It was still sweet and enjoyable enough, but if you're expecting an actual matcha flavor, this might disappoint. Better suited for someone looking for a sweeter, unique twist rather than a true matcha drink. Service was excellent, attentive and welcoming throughout the experience. The ambiance was also great, clean, modern, bright, and very open. My only minor critique would be the seating arrangement, which felt a little awkward since the tables were placed pretty close together, making the space feel slightly cramped despite the open layout.

This place lives up to all the hype as one of the best breakfast joints in the area, with huge portions, friendly service, and that cozy local vibe. It was perfectly sweet without being overpowering, super smooth and velvety, topped just right. If you're a chocolate lover, this hits the spot and pairs amazingly with breakfast. Not too heavy, but definitely satisfying. For my main, I went with the famous Rosebud breakfast, and I can see why it's a favorite for so many people. It's a hearty, loaded plate with eggs, meats, potatoes, and all the classic fixings done exceptionally well. So thin, I could see the steak right through it. It looked like a glazed donut. That's how thin the gravy was. Then, I asked for EXTRA crispy hash browns. They weren't even regular crispy, let alone EXTRA crispy. The eggs and the English muffin were fine. It's hard to mess up those things. The service was fine, but the kitchen COMPLETELY dropped the ball. I drove all the way from Santa Clara, thinking about the great CFS they used to have.
