I went to Sanguich Miami and let me tell you, this place is incredible. The only downside is the parking situation. It is honestly a hot mess. The plaza it is located in has a few other businesses and barely any parking. But to be fair, Miami in general is chaotic when it comes to parking. I did end up parking somewhere I probably should not have, and when I mentioned it to the girl taking my order she was like, "Girl, don't even worry about it." So that made me feel slightly better. Now let's talk about the food. The sandwiches are a little on the expensive side, but they are absolutely worth it. I ordered one that was similar to a club sandwich on Cuban bread and I loved every bite. The bread was perfect and everything tasted fresh and flavorful. My friends got the steak sandwich and said it was to die for. Every single thing we tried was amazing. The location itself is small but super cute. They play Spanish music inside, which adds to the whole vibe. You can sit at the bar or at small tables, but most of the tables are for two people, so it can feel a little tight if you are with a bigger group. I got to Sanguich around noon and there was a huge line to place an order. There was an equally long line to be seated for dine in. Because we thought the order line would move faster my group stood in that line. It took us about half an hour to get to the front and after placing our order we were told it would take another 30 minutes to get our sandwiches. The cashier said that we would get a text when our sandwiches were ready. We roamed around for about 40 minutes in the area and eventually walked back because we were very hungry even though we didn't get a text. There was no clear area to go for pickups and the cashier was moving very slowly to clear customers. After waiting frustratingly for another 15 minutes we got to the cashier who told us that our order had been finished and handed it to us. I got the Cubano and it was quite good despite having clearly sat there for a while. My favorite sandwich was definitely the pan con lechon though. The meat was very juicy and flavorful. I wish we got our sandwiches fresh because I'm sure it would've tasted differently. There's a counter where a couple of people can sit. And a couple tables throughout the restaurant. It's like a modern day diner. The trigo is a cereal-milk type milkshake that has the taste of the UK cereal Weetabix - it is slightly nutty and oaty and not too sweet. We tried the Sanguich Cubano and the Sanguich de Miami. Both were good, but the Cubano was better. The sandwiches are deceptively large. One might be sufficient for two people unless you're both really hungry. We also had a Cortadito, which was strong and tasty. The best place to sit is at the counter so you can watch the employees make the sandwiches. The restaurant is clean. The decor is trendy and reminiscent of 1950s nostalgia. The ambiance is casual. Sanguich is located on SW 8th street in little Havana. I came here today on a recommendation from a Cuban man who said they have the best Cuban sandwich in Miami. That was enough for me to come give it a try. There is a private lot that services several businesses so parking is somewhat sparse. We were able to get a spot however. Upon entering, you are met by an order taker at the bar and the menu is affixed to the wall. You place your order with the order taker and then you are provided a table number where you can be seated. We ordered and went to table 4. We were brought cups of water when seated. The plantain fries arrived first and they were hot, crisp and delicious. I've never had these before and what a delight they were. After about 5 more minutes our sandwiches arrived. The Cuban had gooey cheese and crisp bread on the exterior. The meat was perfectly sliced and cooked and the pickles were crisp and delicious. The hints of mustard were also tasty. The sandwich was great with each and every bite. Lots of flavor, crisp exterior, delicious cheese, every bite left me wanting more.
