I sadly didn't have a good experience here, I called them and was in contact with the sales person before driving all the way from los angeles to make sure that the car was a good fit for me and that I could purchase it and drive it on my way back home. *We agreed on the one price, they immediately change the online price to the car to a higher price, I had to call again and they said that they would give me the agreed price. *When I arrived, the car wasn't cleaned/ready to be shown, it wasn't a big deal since they said they would clean it for me if it took car. *I did a drive test and decided to get it. But, I noticed that the car had 3,000 more that what it was listed for. They refused to give any deductions claiming that the car's price was higher now. (Even tho they were advertising the car with lower milles) *After paying for the car, they said I needed to wait for the car to be cleaned. I waited for almost 90 minutes, when they finally brought the car, I got the keys and left to my way back to LA. When I got home, I realized they dint put the floor mats/cargo cover back after they did the cleaning. I immediately called my sales agent, he apologized saying that he would mail them out (Mats and Cargo Cover) the next day. Well, its been two weeks, I have sent them a few emails and make several calls, last thing they mentioned was that they couldn't fid the mats and cargo cover and wouldn't take responsibility for it. I got an estimate from my MB local dealer for those items and it seems that I would have to pay a few hundred dollar to have them replaced. Really sad that they wouldn't take responsibility fo this, don't know it if was a mistake or they wanted to keep those items to resell them. read more

I highly doubt that you are as frustrated as I am, as I am the one paying for the car while you try to figure out a solution. The right thing to do is take the car back and stop selling the features until it works properly...if you know it's a faulty product with no solution, it's unethical to take advantage of consumers. read more

I have been taking my car to SB Auto Group for over 5 years. I am always happy with the high level of care and service they consistently provide. More recently my BMW had a number of issues. Sean at the BMW Service Department went above and beyond, by keeping me in the loop the entire way. My car ended up being in the shop for 2 weeks. I was a bit nervous at the bill however Sean told me a lot would be covered under the extended car manufacturer warranty, this was a tremendous relief since my car was out of the regular BMW warranty. I can't say enough good things about the Service Department at Santa Barbara Auto Group. I purchased an extended (5-year) warranty through them when I bought my Audi in 2017. Yes, I know that extended warranties are usually a sucker's game - after all, who knows better than the manufacturer how long parts will last? - but I did it anyway, and I'm glad I did, because the guys at Santa Barbara Auto Group twice alerted me to problems that I wasn't aware of and would have cost me thousands of dollars to repair if I first became aware of them after the warranty had expired. More recently, I was in an accident and had the car towed to Santa Barbara Auto Group. They have been nothing short of terrific - letting my car sit in one of their repair bays (it's not driveable in its current condition) and giving me use of one of their loaner cars for 6 weeks and counting (!!!) while we wait for my insurance company to stop jerking us around. (Some people are in good hands with Allstate, but I'm just getting the finger.) Bottom line: Highly, highly recommended. read more

I just flew from San Jose to Santa Barbara to purchase a used BMW from Jeff Knepp and the guys at Santa Barbara Auto Group. It was the best auto purchase experience I've ever had. Let me start by saying that I've bought a lot of nice used cars over the years. I've also had a lot of bad experiences, sometimes having to fly home without a purchase because the car wasn't accurately represented. That wasn't the case this time. I had been looking for a BMW 135i convertible for several months. When I saw their ad for the car, I called and Jeff described the car for me in great detail, including some of the flaws, which were very minor. He was gracious enough to take a deposit on the car and hold it several days so I could arrange a trip down there. When I saw the car in person it was exactly how Jeff had described it, and my leap of faith paid off. Riley, the finance guy was easy to work with and had everything ready to go. Ryan, the young auto tech guy (for lack of a better description) walked me though every feature of the car and answered all my questions. They offered to stay in touch with me in the coming days to continue answering questions as needed. Last September I had a steering problem with my 2006 Porsche Carrera. It was involved and took over a week to get it repaired. But Jason took such good care of me, setting me up with a loaner worth more than mine, in dollars, but not in value to me.
