Stay away from these guys and hang onto your wallet I recently bought a used Nissan and took it to the local Dealer to have additional keys made While a regular key is $10 the key for the Nissan is $100 because there's a transponder chip inside the casement while I was there the service department did a review of the vehicle I won't go into detail because I don't want to identify who I am because I may need to go back and get parts But to give you example on how far out and vulgar the estimate was they said I need a new spark plugs, jamie service mngr quoted me $475 to put an eight spark plugs I went to O'Reillys and they could sell me eight for $31.95, of course I have to install them and I plan about an hour of my time to do that, also $275 To flush out my radiator I've gone online and looked at various Nissan chat rooms for other established Nissan owners and it appears that it's a very predatory environment going to the dealers for service, gee whiz it's really a shame because I'm pleased with the vehicle so far and relatively new to the brand but the service department is very Troublesome And as a new customer needing guidance the deck is stacked against you read more

We have a beater 2012 Versa that our teens use. We've taken the car in a couple times now and have always had a great experience. Easy to schedule appointment, no lines in the morning, reasonable costs and they call and keep you updated throughout the day. Last week brought the car in with a sidewall tire puncture. We had purchased the tires at SB Nissan about 6 months prior and they replaced the tire at zero cost - AND the car was filthy and they washed it sparkly clean without us even asking. Just purchased a low millage used car 2015 Camero SS from Santa Barbra Nissan on Sat 4/8/23. The Good 1. Salesman was very responsive and helpful he even drove the 1.5hr to LAX to pick me at the airport as I was a out of state buyer. 2. As advertised low millage and in good shape. The Bad 1. I have bought a few cars out of state, and I have NEVER paid the state sales tax on the car I was buying it in. You always pay your home state sales tax for the state you live in once go to buy your plates and register the car. Now I will be paying sales tax TWICE on this car. 2. The car was not detailed for my pickup if it was it was not a good job. center consul had some sticky stuff all around the base of the sifter maybe spilled ketchup up I don't know. The carpets had not been shampooed huge stain on the carpet in the back seat behind the driver seat could have been a coke or something. 3. This one I blame mostly on myself as I did not check it before I left the dealership. The hood release will not pop open the hood at all. Now I will have to take it to a dealership in my home state to get this taken care of. Kinda of big deal you need to be able to open the hood. If you are an out of state buyer driving the car back home, I would not recommend this Dealership unless you like paying sales TWICE on your car. read more

Bottom Line: Avoid at all costs My wife and I wanted to check out a few of the Nissan Leafs that they had on the lot. We hooked up with Alfredo who was great. He was super knowledgeable, friendly and professional. He took us for a test ride and over all I liked the car a lot - I think its exactly what we needed as personally I hate going to gas stations. My wife hated it, which just means that we didnt get it. That is no reflection on the experience that we had with Alfredo - he was a pro and we really appreciated his expertise. We simply didn't buy the car. This is where things start to get interesting. Since we live in the neighborhood and have small kids, we are around this dealership all the time. The dealership is located next to one of the best parks in town so we are there a lot. As such, we have had some run-ins with people moving cars around, reversing backwards out onto the street at high speeds, zipping around stopped cars in the intersection at Hollister and Kellog, etc etc. There have been a few near misses with children that frankly were inappropriate and out of line. This has also happened on the freeway. Several times I have been passed by a group of cars at a very high rate of speed. I was cruising at around 80 and got passed like I was standing still (Mind you this hasnt happen once, its happened multiple times in one day). Since we were all going the same way we all got stopped at the light at the bottom of the 217 offramp. I was looking at the cars trying to figure out what was going on. One of the drivers was staring me down as I was checking them out. He even went as far as to 'mad dog' me as I drove past the used car lot. He stood on the sidewalk with his arms out, attempting to incite an incident as I drove with my kids in the back. Ive seen a few more Leafs on the lot and my wife said that she was interested in possibly looking again but based on the experiences we have had living near this dealership, we will not be going here under any circumstances. This blatant lack of regard for public safety is totally unacceptable. Avoid this place at all costs. read more

I went to find a towing adapter for my 2004 xterra today and as I figured it would not be in stock due to being a random item. They then pulled a few wire harness trays from the mechanic shop. They were filled with a bunch of random parts/pieces and proceeded to dig through it. After a few minutes they miraculously found exactly what I needed. Thanks guys!!! Very bad customer service. My wife called and spoke to Jaime he is a supervisor from the service center and he had a real bad attitude with her. We were going to bring our nissan in for repairs and he didn't want us to bring it in. We had just gotten the car and it's under manufacturer warranty. He said with an attitude you guys just got it and your bringing it already. Then he asked what is the name under when my wife said my name he interrupted her and said wth! and laughed at the name. We never took the car there we don't want or should deal with that kind of attitude. They don't care about the customers! They don't care about there customers! I was dissatisfied with the way the handle the DMV fees. I never expected to get a bill after paying "in full" at the time of purchase. Still, they did follow-up. I just purchased a 2013 Lexus CT200h and I can't remember the last time I felt so good. I saw the car while driving past Nissan's used car lot. Instant attraction to it ! U turn to get a better look. It was a hot day and my dog was in the car so when offered a test drive I said I'd be back after dropping my doggy off at home. Straight back....gotta see how this car drives. Ryan was my salesman and he's awesome, along with a real cutie. We went out for a spin and I was in love. Unfortunately it was more than I could see myself spending. I had to leave in my old 2007 Honda, defeated. It took 3 weeks of grinding on the manager but it's now parked in my carport. The mechanic told me that there were no parts at that time for my car, therefore they had to order the part, I told him that it was fine. After finishing to talk with the mechanic, I went to the parts store to order other parts for the same car, when I finished ordering the parts, the parts salesman told me, "Hey, you wanted the model to be changed of your Nissan? I said yes, and he said, here is the part for your car, if you want you can change the part to your car the other week, I said yes, then the parts seller said , the mechanic will call you in these days to make another appointment, from that time until now I have not received any call from the Santa Barbara Nissan. A year ago, I purchased a 2018 Nissan Leaf S which became a total loss in an accident in May of 2019. While the car was destroyed, my daughter and I were able to walk away from the accident with some minor neck strain. Aside from the environmental benefits, the safety factor led to buying a 2019 Nissan Leaf S. Special thanks to my salesperson Yoselin who was patient with me on my many visits, Joe the sales manager, Cristy the owner, and Heather the finance manager worked with me to get me into a car at a price we felt was reasonable, and even approved financing for a lower interest rate than our pre-arranged financing from my bank! To be fair, I am one of these people who does my homework ahead of time - and no staff member at Santa Barbara Nissan was insulted by the fact that I was sitting there with my computer checking information, making financial calculations, and looking for discounts. I also like to keep trade-ins, financing, and purchasing as separate transactions. Even though I came in with financing pre-arranged, they made an offer we just simply could not refuse! Also, this is a family owned dealership and they can do things that large dealers cannot do. Yes, I did shopping around, which merely verified that this was the best deal. Finally, I also wanted to make this work for the dealership and the sales team as well. I recently moved to Santa Barbara and was in need of finding a new place to service my 2009 Nissan Rogue. I initially took my car to West Coast Automotive, which was a good experience, for an oil change. When I picked up my car, they informed me that I needed a new boot for my front passenger axil. Since I know nothing about cars, I decided to get a second opinion and make sure this was really something I needed to spend $300 on, especially since I'm a poor grad student. I called Santa Barbara Nissan that day, and they told me to come down to them immediately. When I arrived, I was greeted by Justin, whom promptly lifted my car, and took me into the garage and showed me exactly what the problem was. He explained to be what the boot's purpose is and why is does need to be fixed. I REALLY appreciated this, as I was able to see and understand what was going on with my car. He told me he would beat the price I was quoted at West Coast Automotive. He ordered the part and scheduled me to come back a few days later. When I arrived for my appointment, I was promptly served. It took all of 5 minutes to check my car in- which any busy person appreciates! I was also asked if I needed a ride. I didn't, but it's great to know that they will give you a lift if you need one! Within 2 hours my car was ready to be picked up. Picking up my car was just as easy as dropping it off. They even did a full complimentary inspection of my car and provided me with a copy of the inspection sheet - thankfully, everything is looking good under the hood :) ! I will definitely be back! I recently got a car here and I had not the best experience. The salesman was fun and did his part well. But I didn't like certain things they knew I was interested in 2 cars and I left to check out other dealerships. I stayed in contact with Nissan to let them know I was coming back.... They knew of my interest and when I came back they didn't have the decency to at least wash the cars a bit they were still covered in dust as most of their lot of used cars was full of dust. I thought they would have some common sense and clean them up for a potential buyer but they did not that was disappointing. They didn't seem to value their customers too much or maybe it was just me they didn't care for. After all I decided to try my credit on 2 cars one higher priced than the other but just wanted to see where the payments would be. The man who does that told me the numbers and I said I couldn't do that much so I'd go with the other car. His response was "Then what were you thinking looking at that car!" scolding me. I told him he was not going to talk to me like that and I wanted to leave that moment and maybe I should've . But he instantly apologized and changed what he ment . He said "oh no I ment what where you thinking as in what price did you have in mind, I care about you , I want you to know I care!" It was all due to their reputation the whole fake apology I didn't like the way they talked to me or treated me they act like they are better than you or something always with their hands in their pockets . They know they were wrong and they changed their tone with me. Honestly I only stayed because I really like the car but everything inside me told me to leave. They didn't even wash the car or as they say full detail it until 2 days later.... Also it was on almost empty tank of gas and they said they don't fuel up used cars only new ones . The "detail" I got 2 days later was not a full detail it was a quick wash. With that said I will never buy from them again and I do not recommend them. read more
