I like the food and service BUT the lighting here is horrible for people with epilepsy (like myself). If you have a seizure condition I suggest you DO NOT go here! Over the booths their lights flicker sporadically. The smaller lighting in some parts is ok, but there are other sections where they have speakers pressed against the bar. It was a good one. The only think is it just depends on who you get as wait staff. And I was upset about getting cold coffee, twice. The patio blows a bunch of dirt in food, since it's right near the kids play ground. I'll stick with eating inside next time. The food is good, not great, but good. As parents of a 6-year-old, we are always on the lookout for a restaurant with a good playground, and the new Santa Catarina definitely delivers. We first visited this past Saturday, about a week after they opened, and we loved everything about this place. The food was great, the service was excellent, and the playground is very cool. They have not opened up the patio for seating yet, as of this writing, but it should happen soon. We were able to sit inside with a view of the playground through the large windows, so it was no problem. We'll definitely sit outside as soon as that's an option. The patio looks great, and there's a cool fountain out there that all of the kids loved to check out. It looks like they have an outdoor bar/counter/something for easy outdoor service, too. Living in the neighborhood just next door (walking distance, even!), I expect we'll be regular patrons. Thanks for coming to Cedar Park! read more

I came here with five other adults and two table-food-eating-aged kids. We ALL loved our food. How often does that happen? I had the Baja Tacos, and the slaw + pickled onions were unbelievable. I tried my husband's black drum fish and my sister's sour cream chicken enchiladas, and they were both delicious. My brother-in-law said the pulled pork was literally the best he's ever had. This is one of our favorite Mexican restaurants in the area. I always get the Camarones Epanizados, which are lightly breaded shrimp with an excellent sauce for dipping, which has just the right heat. Always a great experience when we go there for date night! read more

First time coming, it was a great find! We have had some of the best shrimp cocktails but Santa Catarina did not disappoint! Definitely would recommend. We don't usually like restaurants with a lot of children but since they have the playground you don't even notice them. Decent prices and great food. Awesome restaurant. I have been here a few times and ever dish has been excellent. They also have an extensive drink menu also. The Pechuga con chorizo is great and they also have a really good mole sauce. I hope everyone keeps going to this restaurant. This is a lovely, more upscale Mexican restaurant than most in the area. The atmosphere is spacious, colorful, and very pleasant. The staff is very friendly/attentive and were accommodating with making dishes vegetarian or vegan. The poblano stuffed with huitlacoche (corn truffle) is delicious. If you're veg, just ask them for tomatillo sauce instead of the mole, which has chicken broth. I was worried that taking off the mole and cheese to veganize it would make it boring, especially for $18. It was still very flavorful and filling (especially adding avocado on the side). read more

The food was very bland. We use to come here before Covid and the same thing. I only like their Happy Hour and the shrimp cocktail. The hubby wanted to go for dinner and drinks. I ordered the shrimp/steak fajitas because I figured can't go wrong with that. I do t eat onions do I asked for no onions. Received our food the meat was overcooked the shrimp tasted like charcoal starter and the tortillas were burnt. I asked the server if the fajitas came with veggies he said onions and jalapeños, so I asked if I can only get the the jalapeños, he said no it was a mix, so I opted for the jalapeños and onions figured I can pick them out. The food was brought to us by the manager Natalia. I asked her for tortillas and a side of avocado, she told me it comes with guacamole, I told her I understand I also would like avocado on the side. She rolled her eyes and said she has other things to do and the server will bring it out. Natalia was rude especially for being the Manager. The meal comes with tortillas so I wasn't asking for anything extra Nd the first set were burnt. Needless to say I won't be back!!! read more

They have great service and the food is outstanding. We loved how fresh everything was and the flavors are fantastic. This isn't a greasy spoon or some microwaved frozen dinner spot. Their food reminds me of a few four star restaurants my wife and I have dined at. We've eaten there several times now and we have yet to have a bad meal. My only negative comment is they seem to be a little light on the protein in some dishes. Our Chicken Nachos were really good but, the chicken was hard to find. There is plenty of Tex-Mex food options in Cedar Park. But this place stands out because they serve authentic Mexican Cuisine and the quality is really good. None of the foods are overly greasy(which I see is the trend in most of other Mexican restaurants). I am so happy that I didn't feel bloated after eating a whole plate of Enchiladas and they were so flavorful. They are one of the best in North of Austin. Ummm I just do not get the excitement. We went for lunch and it doesn't help when you have a very bored and sorta rude server to start. The salsa was watery and bland. The enchiladas we just ok but the rice was crunchy and terrible. We were charged almost 5$ for a side of guacamole that seemed straight out of the wholly guacamole package.
