We always eat here at least once on our trips to Santa Fe as they're very close to our timeshare and they have a great menu for casual lunch & dinner. Yes the meals look great but for the prices it's too much. We paid $25 per person for tacos and a burger. The service was interesting. He was being polite when we walked in but gave us a tray of chips and salsa and told us to find a spot to sit and come back to the counter to place our order even though no one was there. I get it you want us away from the counter if it was busy but no one was there. I know I ordered 3 drinks and when he forgot my husband's horchata he said he would bring it but forgot so when I asked again he said I didn't order one but it's on the house. I know we went through the order together and paid for it so he tried to play it off so that was disappointing. It wasn't busy but the people that were there were upset with the service taking awhile on their food before us and no ac inside. Some people moved outside since it was cooler out there. Their tacos were good and I did enjoy my watermelon drink, sweet potato fries and burger so at least the food was decent. I love supporting local businesses but if we weren't pushed to the side, the high prices, and didn't forget one of our drinks I would've given a higher rating. read more

Just want to know how they got away with using "Bees" so close to Bumblebee. Of all the words out there, "bees" is just a weird one to borrow. And it's still there, and Bumble bees still on the decline, and the food at BOTH places is mediocre. read more

Good place for good food at very reasonable prices. The menu is quite extensive with something for everyone. They have specials too such as TACO TUESDAY. Staff and owner provide exceptional service. They have a punch card too. There is an outside patio that's great for those nice Santa Fe days. Most importantly, the outside noise level is at a minimum unlike other great restaurants located next to loud traffic areas. There's even a drive thru if you prefer to take the food home. Food is good. However, they are tight with their salsa and tortillas, and the side of beans are laughably small. Order a family meal and they give you 2 very small salsa cups (one of each type), and 3 tortillas..... FOR A FAMILY MEAL!?! Does anybody like sharing a small corn tortilla? They will make you pay extra to get enough tortillas and beans to make it an actual family meal. Girl at the counter was a bit salty that I asked for more salsa. The owner walked in and all the sudden her entire demeanor changed to sweet and accommodating. Dining in seems like the way to go here. I have had several dishes from the newly-opened Santa Fe Bees and everything has been delicious and employees and owner friendly and excited to serve. The majority of their tables are outdoors with some seating indoors. Their breakfast burrito is served until 11am-I had the smothered breakfast burrito with bacon and both red and green chile. The breakfast burrito was delicious and it's clear they take pride in their chile because the red chile was delicious and the right shade of red. The Freddy special burrito was another delicious item- if you're interested in a veggie option. You can't go wrong with the Santa Fe Bee burrito with steak. I will say I prefer the heat and flavor of the tomatillo salsa (their hot option) over the salsa negra (their mild option). While I would like to have a traditional salsa roja, I am content with the tomatillo. I am excited to try their pollo asado and ribs one of these days. read more

A fine little establishment. It's hard not to compare it to Bumble Bee's Baja Grill which is just down the street which not only shares a similar name but serves similar food. The food is about the same great quality and price, but Bees has complimentary chips and salsa while Bumble charges for it. They also open earlier than Bumble and have milkshakes, yum! Service is quick, efficient and friendly and they have plenty of seating. Don't be afraid to go during the winter since the "outdoor" section is insulated and there are heaters on the ceiling they can turn on. read more

How long does it take to make a hamburger. For them to say eight minutes and it turns into 30 minutes. First time came with cheese and dressed, and I said I wanted it plain. Second time the bun was completely soaked and you couldn't even pick up the sandwich. Gave them back the bun and all they did was toast that bun and not even give me a new one. I am so disappointed -- What's sad? Is they stare at you like it's your fault. And you know what, the customer is always right. You might want to get some new front staff. Ordered the Freddy Special burrito with no modifications. This thing had absolutely zero flavor. Beans used need more salt, strangely bland sour cream, and the pico seemed to be just diced tomatoes. Asparagus was well cooked, and the only thing enjoyable in the burrito. There is another "Bee" restaurant just around the corner that sells this same burrito with much more flavor for cheaper. read more

We happened upon this place while driving back from Colorado, looking for a place with a heated covered patio (during winter) where we could eat with our dog, and we really felt like we lucked out. The employees were extremely friendly and obviously took great care in the food they prepared. I had the tamale plate (one chicken, one pork, Xmas style) and my husband had the fish tacos - both delicious! You get your choice of pinto or black beans, rice, and/or calabacitas (squash & corn) as sides, and we were given complimentary chips & salsa. This feels like a locals place - reasonably priced, not fancy, but great food. I hope they have great success, and we'll look forward to going back next time we're in Santa Fe. read more

Fajitas are served on a hot cast iron grill. So much flavor and a filling meal. The Santa Fe cheeseburger with fries was first rate. Burger was juicy and packed good flavor with the special sauce. Served with Sides of lettuce, tomato, onions and pickles so you could add to the burger. The fries were cooked and salted just right. It's nice to have choices to suit your party's taste. The Complimentary tortilla chips with red and green salsa were a nice surprise. Tortilla Chips were thicker and crunchy than most restaurants. The green salsa was spicy and the red salsa had great mild flavor. Service was friendly and cheerful. The menu is large and so many items looked delicious including breakfast burritos and tamales. Was really wanting a taco and wanted to try SF Bees. When I asked what size the corn tortilla was the order taker said w impatience 'the normal size'. I'm pretty familiar with corn tortillas and asked if they are large or smaller. The order taker then barked and said -they are the normal size-. I paid for my to go order and left, annoyed at the attitude. When I got home the small tortillas were uncooked and soggy. I had to recook them. Overall a disappointment. read more

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Santa Fe. I went here with my nephew and had a frito pie, and it was so delicious, also not your typical run of the mill Santa Fe frito pie, can say that they definitely put their own spin on things. The chicken wings here are amazing, and my nephew had the rib eye plate, which he said was terrific. I've been in Santa Fe for 5 days and it's by far the worst meal I've had. I ordered the steak, birria, and carnitas taco. They get one star because of the good service and great attitude. So it pains me to not write well about a place I'd like to see thrive. Everything, including the rice and beans lacked seasoning and flavor. The tortillas fell apart as I ate them.
