After sharing my mishap of shutting the garage door with my trunk still open (suv), he felt my pain yet was quickly able to assess the gash on the trunk and provide a very fair price for repairs. Found Santa Monica Ford Collision Center through my insurance, Mercury, because it is close to my work. Debris hit my car when I was driving on the freeway (I hate LA), and it scratched my hood (looked like someone keyed it) and windshield. I took my car in for an estimate on a Tuesday morning, around 10am. Megan greeted me and helped me with the paperwork before introducing me to Abigail (who deals with the insurance companies) and provided me daily updates for the status of my vehicle. They have a shuttle to bring you to Enterprise for rental cars. I was originally told my car would be ready by Monday but ended up getting a call late Friday that it was ready (ahead of schedule). Went in Saturday morning and car looked brand new. There was another customer in there being helped but I was still in and out in less than 15-20 minutes. I originally chose this shop based on their Yelp reviews and honestly had such a great experience with everyone - I HIGHLY recommend if you need a shop in Santa Monica. I drive a Ford and figured looking up a dealership with a services department & collision center would be my best bet when a small part of my bumper dislodged after I came off a curb at the wrong angle. I called and made an appointment with Megan who was very helpful with all of my questions and getting me directions to the collision center over the phone. I set up an appointment to just get an estimate, mentally preparing myself to have to shell out a good chunk of change on a new bumper. The driveway seems smaller than the dealership's service and oil change one on the other side, so it might SEEM like an employee entrance, but rest assured it IS the correct location! Megan greeted me and had me fill out paper work, while reassuring me that accidents happen to the best of us, and answering even more questions I had about insurance, etc. During all of this, Abby was looking at the car with the Head Technician, Hector. (The service here is BEYOND fast!) They noticed some small damage from before, but I explained that I just wanted the one dislodged part of the bumper back on the frame & aligned with the fender, and Hector decided to try popping it back in--and it worked! The front of my car is back to normal, and they didn't charge me for the fix! Getting hit by another vehicle is never a good experience...but I gotta say. My car looks better NOW than it did before the accident! My service advisor was Edwin and man This guy was on it! I received regular status updates about my vehicle, and he made sure the attention to detail on the car was superb. I had some other dings non-related to the current accident and he had them touched up for me at no extra charge. Edwin really wanted me to leave happy and he succeeded. The crew at SMFCC actually cares about the customer and isn't just money greedy. They did a fantastic job and while I'm praying I never get in another accident, if I do I'll definitely be taking my Ford Mustang back here to have it fixed up. PS. Well after almost 6 month I got a refund from enterprise car rental. It looks like Meghan fixed my problem!!! Thanks Meghan for your help. This review is for the billing department of Santa Monica body shop not the body shop work. I have a Ford Focus that had a rear bumper fixed to perfection. The problem was that they didn't have a car to loan me while my car was getting fix so they offered me an enterprise rental. After I returned my rental I paid my part of the rental agreement (Insurance) and Santa Monica body shop would pay for the rest of the bill as we agreed and it was also confirmed by the enterprise person that rented me the car. 5 months later I got a bill from enterprise that my account was due and they would send me to collections!!!! I called enterprise and they told me that Ford hasn't paid the bill so it was past to me. I decided to call Santa Monica body shop and the person that talked to me told me to fax the bill and they will take care of it. 2 weeks later I got final notice from enterprise for not paying Sodecided to paid the bill to avoid any damage to my credit. I called again Santa Monica body shop and left a message to the person that my call was transferred to and I still haven't got a call back. Please be careful when they offer you a rental!!!! Like most of the other posters, I was sent here by my insurer after a minor fender bender that caused damage to a sensor cluster in my Chevy Bolt EV. I was worried because the car was showing multiple faults including the LI Battery management system. I was rear-ended a little while back and took my car for repairs here. I ended up having to get the back bumper replaced and trunk door replaced, as the damage was quite substantial. Overall, the repairs cost $3500, paid for by my insurance. Pros - Kind service - Accommodative and easy to contact while your car is in for repairs - Within walking distance to multiple car rental companies Cons - It took a long time to get my car fixed, about 2 weeks. - The paint matching was subpar, though you might not notice it at first glance - Had to take my car in a second time to get the passenger airbag sensor replaced, which was damaged by the same accident. Not sure if this was missed or if it's their standard practice. I don't plan on coming back, but the people there are incredibly helpful. They really helped ease the stress, but the service wasn't what I expected. read more
