For awhile the takeout orders were made correctly and delivered in a timely manner. Got a delivery yesterday. Ordered a pizza WELL DONE. Confirmed. Came Barely cooked on the bottom. Ordered Cobb salad. NO ONIONS, NO TOMATOES; said it does not include cheese on the menu, so I said OK. Came with CHEESE! I don't know what else to say to get the orders right! I don't know if the cook is not reading the order or they change the menu. Not the first time the orders are made wrong.

Absolutely disgusted with how I was treated today after coming here since 2017. I did not deserve this. The owner has always been respectful to me and I never get upset in retail establishments because I've been in upper management for a decade and I never complain. Today definitely changed that ( for reference, Santino's once sent me moldy bread that was 50% green and I still didn't get angry- just for whoever thinks I'm just overreacting). Whoever the guy is that was covering for the owner today on 4/25/26 was the absolute worst (when I asked for his name, he screamed Mr Santinos and hung up on me none of the staff would give me his name either.) He was extremely condescending, misogynistic, called me honey, and spoke to me like I was an idiot. I was telling him about a serious issue they have with their pricing that can get you seriously fined and audited for life, but after speaking to him and someone else there that gaslit me, I realize that they are aware that they are charging extra fees and they do not care. I have a bunch of fees that I have documentation of now that I found their menu at home that they are sneaking onto the bill. It's illegal to charge a fee for using a debit card, the pricing on their new menus are wrong, and they gave me two different receipts with different pricing. The guy who flipped out on me was trying to say that the extra cost was the credit card fee and written in as tax, which isn't how tax works. He said I have to pay uncle sam ( obviously this guy has no idea how the world works because tax goes to the state and credit card fees go towards credit card companies for processing) so that isn't "paying uncle sam". Then the lady who got on the phone to "explain calmly to me" told me that the reason I was charged 14.05 for my sub instead of the price listed on their menu is because they charge for all the extra toppings, but if you look on the menu it explicitly states that all of those toppings and seasoning are included. All across the board something that I have no interest in ever entertaining again at this point. I will do everything in my power to point everyone to Torino's and Amano's from now on and whenever anyone asks about Santino's I'll make sure to let them know. I'm also going to the state about the price discrepancies. Although you guys might all think I'm an idiot, my experience in management for over a decade has given me all the avenues to know how to document this properly. Get better management. Treat people better. You're charging luxury prices now, act like it.

We ordered a four-section pie instead, and it was a great way to try a few different options. The Hot Boy pizza with hot honey was easily the standout, and the bottom right slice was also excellent. The darker meat slice on the bottom left was not my favorite. I did not enjoy it, but my partner did. Pizza was huge, and we had plenty left over. Next time, I'll make it earlier for the individual slices! Staff were nice. Environment was nice. Again, I came close to closing time but they were still taking plenty of orders!

It was definitely the star of the three types we had and came out delicious, cheesey and piping hot right out of the oven. Like most bar pies, it needs to be consumed right away as I don't think it travels over time well. The other two styles we had blended Indian flavors with a pizza medium. The nihari beef (weekends only) was a deliciously prepared shredded beef that comes with a stewed broth. First time having it and it was delicious! The butter chicken was heavy and filling but also super tasty. The woman at the counter was very informative and told us everything we needed to know about their pizzas. You're able to get any pizza in any style, offering you a different taste/variation on all their flavors. We'll dedinitely be back to try more and get another bar pie!

Really, really good tavern pie, although I wouldn't necessarily call it a traditional tavern pizza…read more When I think tavern, I think crackery crust. That is not this. The caramelized ring of cheese around the edge is brilliant. The bottom was a hair undercooked and therefore a little limp but not too bad. One other reason for the limp is the very generous amount of cheese that solidifies into a shield atop the pizza. The sauce is a tad sweet but not too bad. I know I have nitpicked a bit here but it is still excellent pizza and worth a stop if you are in the area.

I am not sure how I never ate here…read moreconsidering that I've driven passed this place a thousand times taking Alex to and from dance class. TJ's Pizza and Catering is located in Parlin, NJ. I went in with the intention of ordering a large plain and a large Sicilian. But there's a sign on the wall that refers to this place as the home of the Tavern Pie. Tavern Pie? What in the world is that? Never saw that anywhere on Staten Island when I was growing up. But if that's your specialty, scratch off the Sicilian and add one Tavern Pie. The good: The plain pie was wonderful. It's the neopolitan style we all grew up eating. When I opened the box, the aroma immediately brought me back to Al's Pizza on Jewett Ave in Staten Island. I knew I was going to like it. And it didn't disappoint. The flavor of the sauce explodes in your mouth on the very first bite. The crust was pretty good too... crunchy and very little limpness. The cheese is very flavorful. And its real cheese with flavor.... not the cheap version. The foot traffic in this place is incredible. It took about 20 minutes to cook the pies and in that time, I easily saw 25 people coming in. The staff is super friendly kick-starting conversations about football with the majority of the people that came in. And to their credit, they knew everyone's names! In my mind, this definitely speaks to them having a loyal customer base. The bad: I was not a big fan of the Tavern Pie. As I am learning, Tavern Pie is a very thin crust pie cooked well. TJ's version isn't terrible, but it's not one that I'd run to buy again. The sauce wasn't as flavorful and all that cooking took the flavor out of the cheese. Not sure why it wasn't as flavorful overall if it's the same ingredients just cooked longer. Maybe this your thing? It's nice to try but its not for me. Overall Rating: C+ My score probably should have been a smidge higher but when I try your specialty and it's just average, you get points taken off.

They also have a pizzeria conveniently located right next door, which is a nice bonus. The service was outstanding--Alessandro was the best! He recommended his signature cocktail, the Orange Cosmopolitan, and all I can say is WOW. Perfectly made and dangerously good--they definitely sneak up on you! He checked in on us throughout the evening, always friendly and engaging, which truly elevated the experience. The food was just as impressive: Pollo Milanese - a perfectly cooked chicken cutlet topped with fresh mozzarella, arugula, cherry tomatoes, onions, shaved Parmesan, and a bright lemon vinaigrette. Pollo Carbonara - topped with prosciutto, spinach, peppers, and fontina cheese, served over penne pasta. Alaska Chicken (special) - stuffed chicken with shrimp, roasted tomatoes, spinach, and cheese in a rich cream sauce, served with saffron risotto. Absolutely delicious. For dessert, we shared a toasted almond cake and a caramel cheesecake cone--paired with cappuccinos, of course. The perfect ending to a great meal. It was a wonderful evening shared with wonderful people, made even better by Alessandro's exceptional service. Highly recommend this restaurant, and we will definitely be back to try more dishes!

What I mean by this is that we can get the kids their favorite plain cheese pizza and mozzarella sticks while Mom & Dad can enjoy a specialty pie like the Vodka Fresh Mozzarella Pan Pizza with toppings! My older son has identified what he considers his favorite Cheesesteak here and it's simply a "Wiz without", steak and cheese wiz on a crusty yet soft hero roll (I refuse to say hoagie). I have been known to steal a bite. Can confirm the garlic knots and mozzarella sticks are great. They do have some specialty pies too - honey mustard chicken, BBQ chicken ranch. Also, do not sleep on their Chicken Vodka Parm Hero because it's delicious. This is one of my wife's guilty pleasures for sure. I will say that the J&S Upside down Sicilian pizza is a great change of pace if you are looking to try something new. This square pie has a crispy crust reminiscent of a Detroit style pizza (basically some well-done cheese on the crust). Since the sauce is on top, the cheese basically melts into the dough making it a very pleasant balance of soft and crunchy. Lastly, you must try their Zeppole's.
