I've been going several years to Santorini. I usually get the lamb gyro platter, hummus or babaganouche. It's consistently excellent and delicious. The lamb is moist, tender and juicy. The hummus is creamy and delicious. The service is efficient and the restaurant is clean. Lunch is usually very busy. I always go when a restaurant is busy, because you get food that is fresh and not sitting in a steam table or similar device. read more

I don't usually order salad but when I saw that their salad had sumac in the dressing, I had to try it since I've never seen that in a recipe. It turned out to be great. I ordered it, and still do, with chicken but it would be just as good with their gyro meat. Today I change for their combo veg plate and everything was good. Drove from El Paso to check this Greek food. I was looking for a real Greek food. I had lamb gyro, which tasted like the Döner Kebab I ate from the Bassett Mall in El Paso which was supposedly a chicken kebab. The salad wasn't even close to being Greek but overall it's okay. read more

I have only eaten at this restaurant a couple of times, so my rating may change as I experience more of their cuisine. The lamb Gyro has good quality meat and nice fresh onions and tomatoes. The lamb shish kabob sandwich is quite tasty, and can be ordered to your preferred level of doneness (is that a word?). On the downside, the meals I have had for lunch were not terribly filling. However, this place has potential and I will continue to dine there and try some more of what they have to offer. read more

It's a nice quiet place to sit and get work done while eating healthy, something not easy to do when traveling for work. I am so glad we tried Santorini! We are passing through Las Cruces and arrived in town pretty late and hungry. After a quick Yelp search, Santorini caught my eye and I called in a quick order shortly before closing. The woman who answered the phone was so nice, gave me recommendations for something new to try, and was mindful to mention stronger spices in the items that I was ordering for my toddler. I think they may have even cut our chicken up into kid sized bites! The food was ready quickly for my husband to pick up and it was SOOOOO GOOD. We've eaten our share of Greek and Lebanese food and this certainly did not disappoint. The flavors were robust and absolutely delicious. Restaurant claims to have vegan options available, however this does not seem to be the case. Both the owner and several waiters/waitresses have confirmed that the pita in the restaurant is not vegan. I was a regular at the establishment but will not continue to eat there. If you are lactose intolerant or vegan, beware of eating there. read more

Seven of us had an early dinner here. Most of the group were totally unfamiliar with Greek/Mediterranean food, but everyone was very pleased with what they had. As for me, I was impressed with the pitas, which were truly Greek in style, warm and soft and if not cooked on a grill, much like they should be. The lamb gyros were well-liked and tasty; the long-grain rice had that little bit of cinnamon flavor that signifies this type of cooking, the salads were fresh and good-sized. One drawback for people who aren't famliar with this cuisine is that the waitress asked those who got salads with their plates if they wanted the Greek salad or the (something else which I forget) salad, and all opted for the Greek except one, and the other salad was much better. Some of our group thought the tzatziki was pretty hot and spicy, but what I tasted was pretty ordinary and mild. The atmosphere is casual and unassuming; service was prompt, friendly and professional. Oh, and they have two types of baklava. Mmmm! Get there early, as I was told they run out of falafel around 2:00 (one of our group was disappointed) so it must be pretty good, maybe homemade. I tried to order the falafel platter, but was told it wasn't available. When I ordered the falafel sandwich, it wasn't a problem. Now, the platter has basically all the same ingredients as the sandwich and is a few dollars more, so really, what gives? The decor is nice, but half the restaurant was sectioned off and closed. On top of that, over half the tables were marked "Reserved" but only one party showed up the whole time we were there. The service was fine, but oddly paced and not particularly attentive. I really dig this joint. The place was completely empty so that was initially off putting. I was immediately comforted by the lighting in the establishment- bright and welcoming, but not like the sun melting your eyes. Vegan friendly. The hummus is yummus to the 4th degree. I have never gone to a mediteranian restaurant before this, but I am definitely willing to try more and I will certainly come back. The food can sometimes be very tasty, though a bit pricey for LC. . . . However, why this gets only a 2-star rating here: the lamb. The lamb (particularly lamb kabob) is very hit or miss; it's either a perfect cut or it's 75% fat & gristle, which is truly disgusting. . . . Oh, and then some pieces don't even get cooked properly (i.e. "medium" came out red-raw). So it can *sometimes* be both gross AND unsanitary. What I really suspect: like so many restaurants, be careful w/ takeout orders. If the cook knows it's a takeout order, then they simply don't care as much about the quality. read more

I have ordered here a couple times and I have had some frustrating issues with customer service. I ordered a Gyro sandwich and I ask for extra Tzaziki sauce after I had paid. The manager explained that will be 1 dollar more so I paid it., I must have looked a little frustrated as the manager stated " it is not Ketchup you know" and gave me my receipt.I received my order and took my food to work. I then realized that they had forgotten my order of extra Pita. I called and they stated without an apology that I can return to the store and get what was missing. The next time I ordered my food my wife picked it up for me. I received my extra Pita and my Tzaziki sauce for my Gyro, but this time I didn't get my Gyro. The response from the management was the same disregard for my dissatisfaction. So if you want good food its not too bad here, if you want good service go ANYWHERE else.
