A nice little niche coffee shop/restaurant situated in the hustle & bustle of the Fox River Mall. My wife told me they have the "best" hot chocolate. When someone sings that type of praise, you really have to give it a shot. I can say it was definitely a richly flavored drink and certainly did rank right up there amongst the best hot chocolate drinks I've had. We didn't dine on this visit. The service took a minute and it was a little warm in the section we sat in but other than that it was great! Food was delicious, we had the breakfast burrito special, Eggs Benedict, pancakes, and a grain bowl. Everyone loved their meals! We had freshly squeezed OJ, standard mimosa and a special mimosa with kale, jalapeño and other juices, again everyone loved their beverages. Hands down best breakfast I've had when visiting Appleton! I've only been in the area a handful of times for my husband's alumni events with LU, but this weekend we went to SAP for the first time & based on yelp reviews ordered the hazelnut latte & then I also saw a caramel apple hand pie I had to try, while we waited to be seated (about 20 minutes which was very reasonable for the busy Saturday brunch rush). When we were seated we ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes and smoked salmon eggs benedict. This restaurant is in a strip mall, next to the Penzey's spice store, and down from a Joann Fabric and a Kirkland's store. I say this because if you didn't make a reservation you may have to wait a while, and their food is DEFINITELY worth waiting for! I got the honey siracha chicken sandwich...I usually get one from a diner near my house, and I think it's one of the best I've ever had, but this honestly was even better - the honey siracha sauce was spicy but didn't burn forever, and the jalapeño vinaigrette was superb. However, the star had to be the desserts. I only wish we had taken pictures before we completely devoured our chocolate mousse with berries and the raspberry rose mousse chocolate shortbread tart. They were as gorgeous to see as well as to taste. This place deserves every single accolade, and I only wish I lived closer and could go back and try the rest of the menu!! read more

We visited 11/25 for breakfast. The service was wonderful that's the only reason I gave 3 stars hostess and server couldn't be nicer. The brewed coffee was pretty good but the lattes to go were not. First we shared a "lemon ricotta" pancake with lemon anglaise sauce. It was a plain pancake with a sauce that would be quite fine on bread pudding. Next I received an unbelievably salty Nola beet /sweet potato concoction which just could not eat. Salad was fresh light dressing. My husband had some pretty decent fried potatoes and eggs Benedict but he got on the car and was sick. We ordered side of sausage, just don't do it no taste and rubbery also not eaten. Bottom line is we paid too much and probably should have ordered cocktails at SAP before our breakfast at Starbucks where we threw the SAP lattes. read more

Husband picked us up a lemon cookie, blue berry muffin, and door county cherry bake. Maybe it was just a bad batch that day but the blueberry muffin was the driest muffin ive ever had in my life, like corn bread dry. The lemon cookie however was great and same with the cherry bake! The wonderful showers today evening made me crave for a hot chocolate. Generally, my go to place for a hot chocolate is Copper Rock Coffee Co. Today as I was near the Fox River mall, I decided to visit SAP for the first time. Such a beautiful place brimming with people. I couldn't believe that it was almost full on a Wednesday evening. I ordered a hot chocolate and a hummus platter. The hummus platter had a flavorful hummus with carrots, olives, cucumbers and the softest naan of Appleton. The hot chocolate had a hint of vanilla but the marshmallows along with it ensured that now SAP is my "preferred place" for hot chocolate cravings. However, my favourite part of the experience was the service. SAP had one of the best service in my opinion. Perfect 5 stars. Definitely visiting it again. read more

Great restaurant serving breakfast/brunch all day. If you're staying in a hotel near the mall, this is a great place to visit. It is definitely a step up from all of the chains in the area. They have a fantastic selection of fresh squeezed juices. I ordered the pancakes with a side of the SAP sausage. It was all great. At 2 pm on a Friday, the restaurant wasn't busy, but I can imagine that it gets crowded, especially on weekends. read more

Miss: no sugar offered with coffee Miss: when we flagged the waitress down for sugar, she dropped four thin paper packets for the table (two per person), and rushed off Miss: had to flag down waitress a second time for additional sugar. Miss: no spoons offered to stir coffee. Hit: off menu special is chicken and waffles; our special favorite, though far more than we needed. Hit: chicken tastes good Miss: followed waitress suggestion for pure maple syrup Miss: $1 upcharge for syrup served in a metal 1oz cup with about two spoons worth of syrup. Getting interested in trying this breakfast out based on high rated reviews, finally we made this trip up in Appleton. Yes - this place IS busy! We plan to get their Sunday special so not sure how crowded on other days. We arrived around 8:50am and we waited for about 10-15 min before being seated. The place was getting more crowded after we sat down; so definitely be ready to wait. We had cheese curd as the appetizer; it's fresh but it's similar to fresh cheese curd in other restaurants. The plus I'd say is their sauces, they are unique! Both is us got the Fried Chicken and Waffle. It unfortunately didn't hit the mark we expected. The fried chicken is good and the batter is mixed with balanced seasoning; but I'd say the fried chicken you get at some specialty restaurants is way better. The waffle is decent but the berries toppings are not the freshest on my plate. Some raspberries were very very soft that I couldn't put into my mouth. With the price it charges, I'd hope for a better quality of berries topping. Nothing is bad for this entree, however; nothing is impressive either. I personally wouldn't get this again while lots of other items are also recommended at this restaurant. The service is pretty good. Just a note that if you prefer quiet place to eat, this place might be way too loud for you as it's a very popular breakfast place! read more

Yummy breakfast/ lunch with large portions and fresh, local ingredients. Service is great and we didn't have the pastries, but they looked amazing! Our party had a burger with egg, cheese, caramelized onions and roasted peppers which came with both fries and onion rings. The fries were really good and served with ketchup and aioli. Had the Florentine Benedict served with crispy potatoes and a salad. This was awesome but I didn't love the drizzle of balsamic vinegar over the potatoes. My son had a pancake (huge) and the brûléed grapefruit which was topped with berries: beautiful and yummy! Great experience. We will be back. read more

One of Jerrilyn's, my wife, and my favorite places to eat. We love the quality of the food and the service. We've been to SAP probably close to a dozen times and we don't eat out often so if we do we want to go somewhere with good and service. They're always polite and helpful. Today we had to move to one of these booths because the chair was bothering her hips. They were very accommodating and got it done. Jerrilyn does have fibromyalgia but normally the chairs are fine. She is also hearing impaired and she has to use hearing aids. If you are hearing impaired you might want to consider sitting in one of the booths along the bakery cases. She said that it was a lot easier to hear me at the booth. We will definitely going back. Looking to have breakfast here on Valentine's Day and get some of their macaroons which are awesome! read more

I came here since my flight back home got delayed and this place was close to the airport. After arriving at the restaurant, everyone was pretty friendly. Since I came in the summer, they even have this open air area where you can sit and eat "outside" while being shaded. Unfortunately, while I was waiting for my food, I get a text saying my flight got undelayed for 30 min and so I was in a rush to eat and leave. After talking with the waitress, she helped bump my order to the front. The food was pretty good. I got the chorizo eggs Benedict which the waitress said was good and it did not disappoint. The home fries were especially crispy which I loved and the fries and salad was even topped with some sweet sap (living up to the name) which was a nice subtle touch. We were in town from Chicago for a concert and chose this place for breakfast based on the great reviews. It did not disappoint. A salad with breakfast? Well why not, it was delicious with a maple vinaigrette, sunflower seeds and I believe pickled onions. Delish! The omelettes were perfect, potatoes excellent and perfectly crispy and very flavorful. The bagel was perfectly toasted (seems silly to praise but most restaurants don't get it right) and served with homemade jam and lemon cream cheese. My only regret, not buying some homemade granola on my way out. Hopefully I get back some day! read more

I have eaten at SAP a handful of times and am never disappointed. Whether I'm having an amazing breakfast or a tasty lunch, the food is always on point! I love the SAP salad that is served with every meal and their coffee is some of the best coffee in the area. They have a crazy dessert/bakery selection and I HIGHLY recommend you save room for some or order it to take with you - you won't regret it. The only downsides to this place is that they're usually so packed you have to wait to be seated, and because they're so busy it tends to get super loud inside which can make it difficult to carry on a conversation. Those things aside, I will continue to go here any time I'm looking for a great cup of coffee and/or a great meal. I definitely recommend this place! read more
