Potentially the best Japanese restaurant anywhere in and around Nashville. I asked for ramen noodles with just the broth, noodles and beef... probably a massive insult to a proud chef, but they obliged and it was incredible. The fish is super fresh and their rolls are incredibly well made. If you like raw sushi, I strongly suggest you try the "trust the chef" option. Big, diverse menu and it did not disappoint. Ordered Tonkatsu, apps were nigiri style Maguro and Unagi. Miso and salad were ok, miso was a little dense. Salad had good flavor and ws fresh. Before getting past soup course, apps arrived, immediately followed by the entree. Everything at once, and then no attention from wait staff. Tonkatsu was rigidly over cooked, but not quite burned. Rice was perfect. I tried to eat the Katsu, but only managed a few pieces. Maguro nigiri was bright pink, no fatty or umame. Unagi sauce was odd. I declined a take home box and was told that if they had known earlier, they might have done something. This would have required a visit to the table after the first flurry of dishes. read more

There are not many options for good sushi near Nashville, so finding this place was welcome sight. They have a solid sushi menu as well as plenty of other dishes, but I suggest you stick to the Sushi or Ramen as these are their specialties. They don't have the most creative specialty sushi rolls, but what they do have they execute very well. The service is second to none, as the entire staff is attentive and great with kids. If you haven't visited Sapporo yet, it should be the new #1 on your "things I must do NOW" list. From the minute we walked in the front door, our experience was fabulous. We were greeted immediately by staff who were genuinely happy about welcoming guests, and the restaurant was spotless. Karen was our server, and we would absolutely ask for her again. She was attentive, smiling, and offered menu suggestions when our party of three had difficulty deciding (the menu is pretty expansive, so it might be worth it to review the menu pics before your visit). We got two orders of pork dumplings as an appetizer (one steamed, one fried), and they were delightful. Each of our meals came with a salad, and the ginger dressing was light, citrusy, and super refreshing. Two of us ordered yakisoba, and the portions were quite large. Both of us enjoyed our selection and would absolutely order it again. My husband chose a different path and ordered bulgogi. He loved it, and after stealing a bite of the bulgogi and the kimchi, I would definitely order it on another visit. The beef was oh so tender, and the kimchi was fantastic. Went for dinner. Our waiter had some trouble with English. Had a combo sushi sashimi. Forgot that it came with miso and salad:; ordered a special miso. Waiter didn't warn me so I ended up with two soups. Then the entree came 2 minutes later. Really annoying. I found the sushi/sashimi very expensive. Companion had bibimbop. Tasted good, but way too little beef. Order of beef teriyaki was gristly and also light on the serving size. I will return but I will be more careful about what I order. read more

Superb! We went looking for a new place for sushi and we found it! Seated right away, greeted by a waiter within minutes of sitting, and drinks out properly! Our waiter was very attentive, while the restaurant was full. We never felt like we were not being taken care of. Other staff came to the table to refill our drinks.
