I ordered med. pizza, wings, brownie, and Dr Pepper. It took an hour to arrive which was the estimated delivery time. The driver had difficulty walking, so when i pointed out the order was missing the Dr Pepper and brownie, I asked if he could refund me the difference. He said yes. The food was cold, and the wings were undercooked. I am still waiting to see a credit on my card for the missing items. read more

We just received an order for 2 calzones that was almost an hour late for our delivery time promised. Our food was so burnt we cant eat it . When we called the restaurant there was no manager to speak to on-site. I never would review a restaurant like this but its an everytime occurrence. Birthday weekend for a teenager - of course pizza should be on the menu, right? We still haven't found our spot yet for pizza, so we decided to try Sardo's; it seemed well-reviewed, with a few notes of caution so we tried to go ahead. We get the full order into the online ordering system and... it doesn't have a way to take a card, I think someone forgot a step in activation somewhere. Not to be deterred, we call the order in. Of course, calling in to a new place is hectic and we fail to correct for delivery vs pickup, having noted that many of the reviews caution against delivery and delivery is assumed by the person who answered the phone. Not wanting to cause any difficulty, delivery is kept as the option and we are told 45 minutes to an hour, which seems incredibly reasonable. An hour passes. No word. An additional half hour after that passes and we call just to make sure they didn't miss us in the dark. We're told the order is in a car on the way to us and since we live less than ten minutes away, we figure that's great - as another half-hour passes. We call again, this time to be told that the driver is missing and we say we can just come get the order, as that was the original plan anyhow. Upon arrival, we're assured that the food is fresh and it seems possible, as a last item in our order is pulled from the oven and placed in a box. (So far, unimpressed as the order could not have both been in a car on the way to us and in the oven.) Upon arrival at home, to a starving teenager who is ready to dive in, everything is cold. Like, food safety danger levels of cold for the one with chicken and ricotta - which I stopped halfway through the slice when I discovered just how cold it was. I'm sure that some of the items we ordered would have been tasty, had they been warm at all. The teen, who usually isn't fussy about food and was unaware of the delivery miss, then dealt the final blow to me giving this place any kind of leeway. "The school pizza is better than this." One star for the garlic knots - the only part of our order that was even warm and they were tasty. read more

First time I tried them. Ordered to go. Pizza and fried mushrooms were really good but took over and hour when I was told 30 minutes. It was only 4:30 but they seemed very busy. Employees were not the nicest. Looked like the owner was there just walking around and not acknowledging anyone. Not a happy person. Recommend if someone is waiting that you engage them and let them know when there food is coming. read more

We come to Sardo's a lot for the specialty pizzas. Their regular pizzas hold their own, but it feels like a wasted opportunity not to get a few pounds of toppings blasted onto your pizza at a reasonable price. You'll pay about $23 for a 16" specialty pizza, and $12.00 per ten wings after going with chargrilled. (Go with chargrilled.) My first choice is the Bacon Double Cheeseburger pizza. I never would have considered putting fries on pizza before. It's pretty dry, so if you like to dip your pizza like I do, make sure you've got supplies on hand. Sardo's Paradise is another solid choice. Boom Boom is my favorite flavor for the wings. It's got a zesty taste with a horseradish kicker. It's a dollar upcharge per order to get them chargrilled, which you simply have to do. They've got the timing down. You're gonna have a thin, very crispy layer on the outside that eats like breading, but without the breading. This is one of my top places in Syracuse for pizza and for wings. read more

I've heard decent things about this shop and have owned a few pizza shops myself so I'm sympathetic to a lot, but this was the worst experience I've ever had at a pizza shop in my 40 years of life the guy at the counter was dripping with sweat and had trouble walking and talking let alone making food ! I got two xlarge pies that came out only 16 Inches and a half pan antipasto salad which was lettuce tomato onion salami and cheese a basic side salad with salami added they charged me 40 dollars for that ! Both employees were bitching about the place and owner the whole time I was there !!!! On top of all that bs it only took 2 hours for 2 pizzas and a pile of lettuce and charged me 90 dollars for it I will go back though to tell the owner to fire those employees and if he can't find good help close the doors ! Ordered a large half sausage half supreme & 10 mild wings. 20 minutes later I get my delivery. Open the pizza and it was a meat lovers pizza. I called back and told them we got the wrong pizza. Person on the phone said he must have taken the wrong pizza, ok well when will my original pizza get here? I saw this cute little box of pizza on a review, and salivated. It said it would take a bit to deliver. That was fine. So I ordered, and it arrived in half of the time, and that little bitty box on the picture I found did not even do it justice. I opened the door expecting a tiny square box like Little Caesar's. I stepped back and said "dang". I could barely get it in my door lol. The driver was watching me try to maneuver it in lol So I get a plate and open the box, grab a couple of slices, and immediately feel like I am in pizza heaven. This pizza is delicious, and a great value for the price. I'm going to have pizza for a few days, and I'm completely fine with that. To be fair the pizza is good, but the food from the friar is not great. We had fried clams that were over cooked and tasted like burnt toast. Onion rings were also burnt. And ironically the French fries were undercooked and soggy. read more

Visited family for a week, and was craving some pizza. Drove by here twice and decided to pick up a pizza the day before I fly back. Hands down one of the best pizzas I've ever eaten. As soon as I walked in, you're overwhelmed with how fantastic everything smells and looks. Once I went back to the car with the pizza, they asked to check the pizza, and when they did, they said the same thing I thought - we need to rush home and eat this now. The pizza was incredible, the cheese was to die for, toppings were fresh and tasted amazing, and even the crust was finished, and this is a group who besides myself never eats the crust. I'm definitely coming back here on my next visit to Syracuse, and my family who lives here has told me they'll probably end up going once a week. Prices are about what you'd pay somewhere else for a prime pizza, at least it's about what I'd pay for one in SoCal, so no real sticker shock to me, but it was definitely worth it. Take some time to go on by and pick something up, and wonder why you've gone this long without trying their food. read more

The slices my son wanted were not delivered with the rest of the order. when my husband called the guy who answered was dismissive and actually said all you ordered were slices. My husband was replying when the kid hung up on my husband. The slices were delivered eventually and they were cd and burnt on the bottom. I ordered their boneless and traditional wings both were super amazing. Satisfied my wing craving perfectly. The traditional were the best, perfectly crispy. The boneless were soft and tender, and wasn't drown in sauce. I also ordered garlic fries which were crispy and tasty. I got their cannoli, as I've never had one before, it's was super tasty as well. They don't have the biggest menu, but what they make they make well. I love the calzones, lots of ricotta and a good chewy crust. I've only tried a couple, but they have tons of really interesting specialty pizzas, the few I've tried were all great! I always get pick up and the employees are always very nice and professional. Third time they have been awful first time the wings were half cooked,they never arrived and didn't answer my call because they close at 10pm and I placed my order at 8:15pm. Now they are no longer going to deliver to me because I made a girl "cry" because if asked her 25 minutes earlier where my order was and she said it was out for delivery. Gluten-free pizza took an hour and a half to arrive, arrived stone cold and after telling me the driver could take a credit card payment, I had to call the place back because the driver could not take a credit card payment. Ordered delivery-- medium pizza with sausage and onion, and medium boneless wings-- delivery was on time, but the top of the pizza box was crushed into the top of of the pizza-- not a huge problem obviously, but appears a little careless. Pizza was excellent, so I'm very happy to see that they deliver to my area. The boneless wings were so good-- I've tried many others from pizza delivery in the area and they have ranged from almost processed chicken tenders to dryer chunks of chicken that aren't breaded. These were the perfect crispy breaded white meat chicken-- exactly what you're looking for, and the medium sauce was a true medium wing sauce- not the almost BBQ style some place try to pass off as wing sauce. I would leave no stars!!! Stay away!! I spent $30 on three calzones, one with bacon. Never put bacon on it, so had to wait for them to fix that. Drive 20 minutes to go home, two calzones with a piece of pizza!! It's not even a calzone!! I am so upset! I call and speak to someone tonight and get the lame excuse that they have no one to work and have to work with what they have.. then said I can get another calzone another time for free from them. Excellent BBQ Chicken pizza, but honestly only pickup. If by delivery, then it tends to be hard and dry. But otherwise very good.
