    Walnut Atayef

Sarkis Pastry is easily the gold standard for Middle Eastern bakeries in LA. I'm a regular here, and my go-to is always the Walnut Atayef (pictured). The craftsmanship is incredible--every single one is the exact same size and texture, showing a level of detail most shops just skip. Beyond the walnut, their cheese Atayef is a must-try. They make their cheese fresh in-house, and you can absolutely taste the difference; it's creamy, authentic, and easily the best I've ever had. Consistent, high-quality, and great service every single time. They truly knock it out of the park.

We love the baklava here! Choose from pistachios, cashews, or walnuts in different shapes and textures. The baklava at Sarkis Pastry has a nice balance between sweet, buttery, flaky; it's not as cloyingly sweet. It's perfect! Besides baklava, Sarkis Pastry has beautiful looking cakes/fruit tarts and a variety of Armenian/Middle Eastern savory and sweet treats. The ladies that work here are nice and welcoming. Sarkis Pastry has three locations (Pasadena,Glendale, Anaheim).

Potato turnover - cookie stuffed with pistachio and one stuffed with walnuts!

First time customer! I have driven in front of the bakery scores of times and have always wondered what it's like. Today, due to a walking field trip with my students, I was able to visit the bakery. I was impressed with the amount of baklava, but what caught my eye were some savory turnovers and cookies covered in powered sugar. I ordered the potato turnover. it was flaky and delicious. The cookies were amazing. I found the ladies behind the counter friendly. Thank you for a good experience. I'll be back!

They have the best decaf coffee!! I'm sure they will know who am I from my decaf coffee impression :-D I'm not from Cali, but every time I'm visiting I always get a chance to treat myself since we don't have many armenian desserts and pastry shops in Vegas. The only thing I noticed was the difference in the cookies' flavors. They tasted different than the ones I've alwayshad. They absolutely don't taste bad, not at all.. but just different. Other than that, everything is great. The service and everyone who is working at Sarkis Pastry are amazing people. I will always treat myself from Sarkis Pastry on my every visit to Cali.

Best baklava in pasadena!! I'm a cheap gal with expensive taste and this pastry shop is perfect for me. Big selection, cheap, fresh & delicious!! Fast service & friendly towards dogs. Crispy melt in your mouth baklavas that ooze honey when you take a bite . The treats never disappoint.

Great selection of pastries and cakes. Bright and clean, bakery. Good coffee and the nazook (first time trying it) was delicious. Dense, buttery and rich, it goes well with coffee :) Friendly service, I'm going to try a couple different sweets before I leave here.

I love the way they made this cake just as my daughter requests in design and style. I asked for it a day before, unfortunately I had last minute choices made. please give them more time they were nice to accommodate within less time I appreciate all their hard work to make this cake, the staff was amazing they actually let me taste the cake flavor as a sample for the cake that would be made. The price was reasonable and affordable we did not added no fruit just chocolate ganache inside with off white topping outside I highly recommend this pastry they have macaroons and other pastries thanks again

Their espresso drinks are consistently very good. Good espresso, good flavors, etc. Tastes like you know exactly what went into it. Matcha latte - the matcha is beautiful. They hand whisk behind the bar and color is gorgeous. This is definitely one of their more expensive drinks to make, and price reflects. There's interior seating (and some outdoor), but it's usually noisy and bustling. Much better to socialize. I would take someone here to impress them, because it seems they're always in the business of impressing me.

Our previous experiences were great, however this time was extremely disappointing. For the price (~$16 per sandwich on Toast), you would expect more substance but this was how it was looking. One measly slice of ham and cheese, and the butter barely tasted present. I'm bummed that such a great recipe has been reduced to this poor excuse of a jamon buerre. Had I known this was what I was going to receive, then I would've spent the money on groceries to make SEVERAL mediocre ham sandwiches instead. The two stars come from the attitude of the server, Karla. She was extremely friendly and that was the only highlight of today's visit.

First, the good: the cinnamon roll was moist and fluffy all the way through. No dry cinnamon rolls here! The service was also very friendly. The not so good: my first bite, which somehow managed to not have much icing, gave me a clear taste of the dough. It reminded me a lot of canned biscuit dough. I prefer a thicker icing, this one was quite runny and very sweet without any nuance to the flavor. Also, I really wanted to try the peach cobbler cupcakes but they didn't have any cupcakes in stock at all, only a few cake slices. We went around noon, and I hoped they would have plenty of options around that time :/ Unfortunately I've had much better cinnamon rolls elsewhere in LA. It's still tasty because, well, it's a cinnamon roll... but not sure I'll be back unless it's to try the cake or cupcakes.
