    Three meat combination dinner

I went back today, June 12 after a very stressful day at work. When I walked down, I was great about this Beautiful lady that was sitting behind the counter in the corner. She greeted me with a smile and said hello. When I saw her my mood became at ease... I ordered rib dinner with two sides one was mac & cheese that was barbecue beans, chicken, Link sandwich, and a peach cobbler. I was very pleased with my food and my greeter....

This place is so good. If you ever go to a party and need to bring a dish, or host the holidays then this is the place to go. We were a party of 6 and got the little pecan, sweet potato and peach cobbler so they everyone could just try a bite. Each person loved a different one. Me? I loved every single one! And for holidays they have monkey bread which you can use as rolls.

December 14, 2024 | Pasadena: While at the Black Artists Christmas Celebration, I discovered some of the best Peach Cobbler I've had in a long time! The flavor was so on point that I got a second slice & continued to glance over at the table!! Hahaha! Inquiring Minds Want To Know: I had to inquire further and found out the peach cobbler was from a place in Pasadena called The Gourmet Cobbler Factory! The woman told us that it was from a family owned business as well! While writing this review, my mouth is watering just thinking of the flavor, as well as the juicy peaches and the crust... Yum! Next time I'm in Pasadena, I'll have to stop by, as the peach cobbler was definitely memorable, juicy and absolutely delicious! Now you know the peach cobbler is something special when there is no ice cream needed!! Let's go!

Wonderful family-owned business. We tried the mixed berry and peach cobblers, and OMG, they were nothing short of sensational !! Actually, they were perfect ! Perfect amount of fruit, amazing seasonings and flavor, and the perfect crust. Thin and delicious, not gummy or doughy. That's for both cobblers. I think the peach was my favorite of the two we tried. I really liked the berry, too, but peach was the best. It's been many months since I was there, and I stumbled onto the fact that I never wrote a review for this place. I'm so glad I discovered my error because their cobblers are worth every accolade. I had a lovely conversation with the "wife" owner. She was so sweet and talkative. Lovely person, and I was so glad to have met her... and bought her cobblers. Her husband came out front to deliver a sheet full of cobblers. He was obviously hard at work in the kitchen. We don't exactly live around the corner, but when I return to Pasadena, this will be on my list FOR SURE.

Located on a sleepier and quieter side of Pasadena, The Gourmet Cobbler Factory is run by a nice old Black couple. Their other business is Clifton's BBQ which is two store fronts merged together. It is tucked away on the side of a building and initially is hard to find but there is tons of street parking. My mom and I saw a Huell Howser special on them a while back and for sure this couple has been baking cobblers and bbq for over thirty years now at least. I like getting their cobblers and taking it home to eat with some ice cream. Just two scoops over the 4x6 pies is enough as a good dessert. The bbq is good too and arguably better than Gus' and Lucille's. Would the pies be more if you got it from Marie Callender's? Of course it would just like any other major restaurant but the charm of the Gourmet Cobble Factory is not just the cobblers and bbq but getting to support local businesses -- our mom and pop businesses especially black owned. If you're in the area, stop by the Gourmet Cobbler Factory and pick up some cobblers and bbq.

I LOVE THIS PLACE. It's such a wholesome family owned restaurant. We came about 15mins from their closing time thinking we probably won't get too lucky but we did. The lovely gentleman that served us was so friendly and welcoming. It's on a quiet street in Pasadena with plenty of parking nearby. We got a pint of gumbo which came with rice and the blueberry cobbler. The gumbo was delicious! Plenty of meat and flavor it was amazing! The cobbler was rich and filling perfect amount for 2 people! Please give this place a try! You won't be disappointed:)

We should have allowed that to be our indiscretion for the day. But nooooo. Mr. B can smell sinfully yummy calories, even with a bag over his head, a mile away. Their specialty... chocolate croissants. Thus, we let Artisanal Goods lure us in. No parking, way too busy, way too full to seat us, a line bursting out the door, the tiny bakery cafe still seduced us. That is, Mr B circled the block in the car but pushed me out to get in line. It was the idea of a flaky, buttery, chocolate croissant crumbling all over his shirt that made him do it. And I had no intention of saying no. The line went quickly. The last Kouign Amann had just escaped my clutches to the guy in front of me, darn it. But there were still trays upon trays of freshly baked, massive chocolate croissants displayed in their custom, wood display case right next to the register. Sorry about no pictures, but you know how things get out of hand sometimes. However if you want to experience an orgasm in pastry form, I suggest you high tail it here.

The staff was very nice and we ordered the classics. - Croissant : was fresh, flaky and a good size. The only small issue: 20% of it goes on the table as it literally crumbles at each bite. A good croissant should have some elasticity lacking here. - Pain au chocolat: quite large with maybe too much chocolate. But the flavor was on point. I liked it but my wife thought the extra chocolate was too much of the good thing. She reminded me that in the pain au chocolat in France, you actually feel the chocolate under the tooth at each bite. Between the two, I would get the plain croissant next time. Final thoughts: These pastries are more expensive than in other places( pain au chocolat for almost $7 and croissant for $5.5). Would I come back: yes to get the plain croissant.

Came here for the souffle pancakes and they didn't disappoint!…read more My party of 3 stopped by Saturday afternoon 2:30 pm and it wasn't crowded. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. We chose outdoor since it was such a nice day out. They have all of their desserts on display in the case, so you can peruse the options and see what looks good. So many of the desserts looked good, like the matcha yuzu chiffon crepe cake or the rose and lychee crepe cake. We ordered via the kiosk and got the mango sunshine souffle pancake ($16.50) and well as a couple drinks. My drink was the white peach lemon jasmine bliss ($6.25), with 50% sweetness and less ice. Even though there are signs everywhere saying that it takes 15-20 minutes for the souffle pancakes to be cooked, ours came out super quickly, in 5 minutes or so. We got it with the sauce on the side, but I regret doing that as I saw others getting it with the sauce on top and it was beautiful. The pancake was super fluffy and a bit eggy as well. We all really enjoyed it with the mango sauce. I made the mistake of eating the pancake first before trying a sip of my tea. The pancake was pretty sweet, so I could barely taste my drink, but I think it was good? I could taste a bit of the lemon but definitely not the white peach, which is a lighter flavor. I got a slice of their Hokkaido cheese cake roll for $7 to go and had it the next day. It was okay but definitely a bit pricy for what you get. I'd love to come back to try their other desserts and pancakes!

I ordered a matcha coco jasmine tea and I found that the jasmine flavor completely took over. The oolong peach crepe cake was yummy! It had little peach chunks throughout. Good oolong/peach flavor was light, airy, and slightly sweet. The black sesame chiffon roll was also light and subtly sweet with a nice nutty flavor. The cafe itself was pretty small with 3 small tables, 1 big table, and bar seatings with charging ports. The bathroom was closed and it was really warm inside. I couldn't see myself studying or staying too long, which may be for the best since parking is tricky and street parking has a 2 hour limit. An okay experience, but I don't see myself coming back.
